I ported Android 2.2 to my HTC Vogue and I am wondering, if possible, how would I revert back to WM? I NAND installed Android.
Thanks in advance,
Playgr0und
just put into flash mode (tricolour screen you know power+camera+reset) and flash wm the usual way.

Hi
I have become a HTC PRO.THREE today (Prototyp of HD2).
I must install Android on this device. I tried to flash MAGLDR and this stil not works!
Does somebody know how i could run ANdroid on it?
Thanks for answers!
the main question, is it possible to run Android on it?
I know the SD version of Android wouldn't work on a Pro Three, so I'm guessing the same stands for the NAND version.
It is only a guess though.
The Device is in a Boot - Loop since i try to install the Bootloader!
Are they any Idea to reset this?

Flash Windows Mobile ROM again in bootloader mode.
I don't think it'll work because you need a 576MB RAM radio.
I succesfully flash WinMob on the device.
Does somebody get it work? (Android)
I was just wondering - I have a HD2 with MAGLDR. I see that Clockwork recovery has now been released. From my (very) novice knowledge, it seems that MAGLDR has to load to allow android to boot. Is anyone working on a bootloader to replace the (HSPL?) to allow direct booting into android from NAND without needing MAGLDR? Surely this, together with the recovery partition would make this a proper android phone similar to any other (who needs Windows support anyway?)
Omg.. you're lost!
Try making a paper and writing every detail and make a conclusion.
Sometimes that method works

MAGLDR is a bootloader. Without one the phone cannot load a kernel, as I understand it. So the answer is no. But, there is an Android based bootloader called CLK that is in the works. this is more the norma for Android phones. HTH
I do not know what the guy above me is talking about.

Anyone know how I can change the Splash screen of my Android ROM?
Any solution would be awesome, there's not exactly an hboot flash for the HD2 so I'm stuck on how to do this, currently trying on an SD rom, but if you have a nand rom solution I'm sure I could tweak it to work on my SD rom.
Thx
You need s-off & eng-off to flash a splash screen to your phone! Search on here on how to do this! Once that is done search for something called "Android Flasher" on here too, that's the best & easyest way I found to flash it to your phone, you can then make your own splashscreens by using "Paint" or "Photo Shop" on the Pc & save them in the format of BMP.
I'm sure this will help you out, sorry I am abit busy or I would have found you the links

I am talking about doing this booting a build from MAGLDR, so this would not help me. There is no S-off Eng-off and no hboot, we are using an HD2 here.
Hope this helps:

Never tried it myself, but it looks promising!

Hi,
*Power Button Pressed*
SplashScreen Appears >>> MAGLDR's GoGoGo >>>> Android's Splash1 Screen >>>> Android's Bootanimation >>>> *Android Has Booted*
That is the one he wants to change

Which splash screen? There are three distinct splash screens in our phone:
1- The Radio Splash, that comes up immediately after power ON
2- The Kernal Splash that comes after Magldr says go go go (cLK loads the kernal Splash, covering the texty part - so no go go go in it)
3- Android boot splash, which is animated
For 1, you need to create a .nbh and flash it.
For 2, you need to include a .rle with the kernal
For 3, you need a bootanimation.zip in /system/media
For all three am sure there are how-to's around, happy modding!
Hello everyone,
I bought an HTC HD2 a few days ago, (not a new one) And it was installed with UltimateDroid, I don't really like this version, and Sense doesn't work on it, so I was wondering if I can delete it, and how.
And if I delete it, Will my phone automatically run Windows mobile?
I'm new to this and this is my first time with android and htc, So I don't know anything about it.
Hope someone can help..
You have to flash a new rom using AD Recovery Tool
Easiest thing for you to do would be to start from scratch or follow this guide. You shouldn't need to do step 1 and you will already have the prerequisites. This is for Android, not WinMo.
For WinMo, download a ROM and flash it from bootloader. See the Windows Mobile dev stickies for detailed instructions (you will be able to ignore the HSPL part.)

What do you want in stead of UltimateDroid?
Android with sense, or WM6.5?
We need to know this in order to give you proper help.
I personally recommend Android, WM6.5 is a dying OS...

Dual boot is possible, WinMo on NAND, Android from SD, you can even have Ubuntu Linux on SD at the same time for triple boot.
To wipe data if you plan on going back to Windows Mobile on NAND, just flash a Windows Mobile ROM at the tri-color bootloader screen (boot the device up while holding the vol - key)
If you have Android on NAND, and want to keep Android but just want to wipe data, there's an option for that in CWM Recovery.
If you have WinMo on NAND, and just want to do a data wipe/factory reset, power on while holding both volume keys and follow the on-screen prompt
If you want to format your NAND memory, there is a tool called task 29, but it's not necessary.
If you're asking whether you can run both Windows Mobile and Android from NAND, no. It's one or the other

Sorry for the late reply, I want Android with sense! I have no experience with flashing roms etc. Never done anything like it before.
OK really first do you have magLDR or cLK ... when you turn on phone does it immediately go to boot screen or do you see some running script followed by 1,2,3,4,5,6 ... go go go!
if you have go go go the simply go to the Dev forums find a rom with (magLDR) in the title and follow instructions. they almost have a link to the best recovery to use with their rom.
if you boot straight up like a native android, or you can charge your phone when its turned off you have cLK ... to the dev forums and look for (cLK) in title and again follow instructions and get to it.

It says the 1,2,3,4,5,6.. go go go! thing, but I can also choose to go to boot screen, which gives me all kinds of numbers with flash rom and stuff.
But thanks, I'll have a look!
I had change it to Android for my hd2 for a year, but now i want to back to Windows Phone.
And I try to use the Task29 and update a official ROM still got an Error 262 code.
And I boot it in a normal way, it will handed at the HTC logo.
So how can I solve it?
Thank you

You need to disable hspl and you have to flash an original distribution rom which includes the boot loader.

If you install an official ROM from SD card, not USB, the SPL will go back to the original.
The only way to remove the HSPL is to flash an original SPL from SD card.
Take any "RUU_signed.nbh" from a ship ROM and copy it to SD card.
Rename it to "leoimg.nbh"
Reset the device while pressing the volume down button.
Windows 7.
Why do u ask in HD2 help and troubleshooting? It's so hard to install WP on HTC HD2. I hate this. Hope u can find answer in WP topic:laugh:
