Not possible unless boot loader gets cracked.
Xperia X8 custom ROM
I want to add proxy support for Wi Fi on this phone,
after rooting the phone , it is asking for ip tables on my ROM,
one more thing is the boot loader of Xperia X10 cracked ?

Im sure people are working on it, but none has succeeded so far as to my knowledge.
Thanks!! Its great to have alternatives roms =) i dont like so much the Original ROM.
erm.. it's 100% percent possible, almost every1 did it, go to google and search for the roms. u need to install xrecover and root explorer 1st

Take look after Ginger 2.3.5, download move to SD card, make sure you have xRecovery installed as well and proceed, but easy for u is to use on YouTube on your computer few movies about install new room ...good luck!

Install the PC Companion, as it also installs all the drivers you need.
And: don´t plug the phone and click root, just click the button without having your X8 connected, then wait until it says "waiting for device" and then plug it.

problems in instalation of busybox and xrecovery
hey guys...... i jst rooted my x8...... but now to get 2.3.3 u need to install busybox and xrecovery.. but when i try to do so... derez a error sayin... dese files cannot be pasted here because dey r read only..... PLZZZZZ HELP:confused

since i'm newbie,is it any other way that i can update my android rather than use pc companion which i tried so many times,but it keeps failed.I read all the thread in this forums and there are so many things that i can't understand.about rooting,JIT,and so on..

I'm also newbie(maybe a stupid suggestion) , but do you have phone drivers on your computer ?
Pc Companion should just work. Did you try it on a different computer?
Why don't you try simple update application instead of pc companion.you can download that from http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/110/61/1294043165/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.1.9.exe .hope this will solve your problem.

yeah,i already downloaded it last night,but do i have to copy n paste all the item into my SDcard?this are the items(amd64 folder,i386 folder,sa101usb,sa101usb86,sa101usb64 is the item driver for x8?)

rooting means different from installing unsigned application. rooting just uncap the protected hardware and full access to user about all the feature and system file.if you want instruction just follow this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920236
If you don't know what is root - you don't need it.
guys i rooted my x8, installed busybox, rootexplorer nd xrecovery succesfully
i copy nd pasted the cfw file to xrecovery backup folder bt when i tried to restore it using xrecovery it said MD5 mismatch or smthng like dat..
What is wrong?
cn ne1 help me or post a complete nd easy guide to install CFW from beginning.. I mean from step 1, rooting itself...!!

Why the hell are you still on Android 1.6?
Did you buy your phone yesterday or what?
You will have to install the latest official Firmware and baseband to install custom ROMs!
And for the installing itself just use the search button.
By the way:
The X8 is e15i,not e10i.
And if you don't have an x8,then you're wrong here.

I did everything like it stands there but I think my phone is broken now, cuz when rebooting at first the Sony Ericsson logo appears and then there is a blackscreen and I can't do anything so help me pls...

use flash proper kernel for ur rom and then check...
some kernels are built for special roms

Search under Xperia Arc Android Development, there are plenty of guides there about how to install custom ROMs.
I managed to root my phone and my next step is to modify the kernel, so if any dev want to help me with that I will appreciate! :beer:

I've got 24.0.B.3.8 is there any difference with yours??
You have just Xpeira E4 Dual thats why it has the B letter!
Any compatible custom recovery like CWM or TWIRP or anything with Xperia E4 ?

I changed the motherboard on my e2105... I need to change the imei. Any expert here, phone is already rooted
I tried to restore my sony xperia m dual c2005. But it didn't go well because I removed the battery when the xperia flames got stucked. Then I installed "twrp" in my phone using my computer. When I pressed power off from twrp It showed a message "NO OS INSTALLED". I got stunned. Can anybody please tell me any idea to resolve my issue? Do I need to install any new OS in my phone? How can I do it? Please suggest me any video tutorial if possible.. Please help me....

hello look what comes to mind is to install through the flashtool do a clean install and may your problem is solved greetings you need flashtool the last version
