CLRCAD.exe file question? - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hey, I'm trying to help a friend get android on his HD2 and for some reason I cannot find the CLRCAD.exe file needed. We got everything else with the rom and haret, etc. I've tried googling like crazy and nothing seems to pop up and I am getting some migrains from this. Can anyone locate me to this file? I must be skipping it with my eyes or something, but its just being a real bother. Thanks.

It should be in the Android folder.
If it isn't in there, then try re-downloading the build again. It will be in the same location as the Haret.
Just try re-downloading the build

This file comes with every build? And it's normal that nothing happens when you run it, if that was your question.

[Q] Cerificate problems

Hi..
Tried the latest Android Froyo build on my phone with some interesting results.
I downloaded Froyo, copied the Android folder to my SD card, hit CLRCAD and then Haret. Froyo started booting, but after 4-5 lines all stopped. There was nothing happening after 15-20 min, so i pulled the battery, and started the phone again.
Now i get the message (in Norwegian)
"The file <filename> cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of it's components cannot be found. If the problem persists try reinstalling or restorig the file"
The problem is that none of the programs installed on the SD-card runs. They all get the above error.
I can not install any programs (reg editors) because i again get the above message. My registry editor that is already installed wont work, and i can not install anything.
I have tried Googling the problem and i've also searched the forums here in XDA. But i have not found anything that actually might work, because they all wants to install something. I can not install anything, and all of my 3'rd party apps doesn't work.
How do i disable the certificate verification without having to install anything or run any 3'rd part apps??
Is there maybe any program that i can run from my Win7 computer??
Thanks for all informing answers..

You could try flashing a different ROM, one which is known to be compatible with Android. Try this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=734238
If you don't like it, or it still doesn't work, you can flash back.

Elegancia is known to work with Android/Linux
To the OP: You should provide more information as to what build you're trying to use, where exactly you put what files (in what folders etc.)...

That's strange, because I don't... maybe a combination of radio/rom thing...
OP: Just to make sure, you said you "downloaded" HSPL, the radio and the rom, but did you also flash them onto your device? Just checking Maybe your download was corrupted and you simply need to download the build again??
yea i flash the radio and the rom i reinstall it again and it said that i finish the download to my phone but still having the same problem i also try to download shubcraft and stilll having the same issue. Is there any way i could deleted all the files and then reinstall it again

I don't know if this is a problem of language You have to put the entire "Android" folder on your sd card (which you should format before, just to make sure). There is no single file for Android, but I'm guessing you simply used the wrong term here.
For example, for shubcraft, place the folder named "Android" in the "root" (I don't know if that term fits here) of your sd card and then run clrcad and haret...
If you already did all of that, you might want to try installing "sdkcert" (just search for it in the forum or on google), that might take care of the certificate not being signed/trusted... even though I don't get how that can be a problem if you're already using elegancia rom
yea i zip the file and i drag the whole file into my sd card and its still having the same problem

The file "Android Froyo" cannot be opened

Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate.
Earlier today my phone just rebooted, and now every time i try to run clrcd, or haret this happens! Totally out of the blue and ive no idea how it happend!
Any solutions would be appreciated!

Copy your data image and then replace the files in the Android folder again and then copy your data image into the folder, let me know what happens
same thing man, even when the card is wiped.
Doesnt seem to run any unsigned programs. would there be any reason for this?
Just soft reseted, and i get exactly the same problem.
Anyhelp would be appreciated

actually finding out what it's looking for in the card is the key for fixing the problem.. like for example, if it's looking for the rootfs.img, then that means it's looking for the wrong folder and/or you have to edit your boot parameter to correct it or move certain files to the folder to get it working correctly.. so make a note of what it's looking for when you boot it up again and then come back here and let us know to get a better response on how to fix your problem
It's booting that there is no Rootfs.img in the SD but i checked it, even tried putting new rootfs file and deleting the old one... same thing happened. I can only get into Android on First boot any after that it gives me no bootfs.img in SD error ...
I'm having the same problem. I have tried restarting immediately after booting into linux without loading any apps and I have tried downloading apps. It will always boot correctly the first time and then it will freeze at Root.fs
One Solution I found is that when you go into the SD card and delete the Android folder it works again... so far there is no harm to anything yet, all you do is delete the android folder then restart haret file again and you are back into your android OS with everything saved the way you left it... must be something in the startup files in a lot of these builds. anyways if anyone knows how to fix it without deleting the android folder please let us know.

hmmmm.. why do you have to delete the Android folder?? what android build are you using?? where did you extract the Android build on your card?? is the haret.exe and clrcad.exe inside the same folder as the initrd.gz, rootfs.img, data.img etc??? one way to find out is make sure you extract the "Android" folder on the root of your microSD card.. also, make sure that there's no subfolder named "Android" inside the "Android" folder, as i know some build compresses the Android folder inside another android folder or sometimes inside the folder of the builds name.. also, copy and paste your startup here so we can see what folder is it looking for on your android build.. because, if you're getting the can't find the rootfs.img error, it means that it's searching for the wrong location or the haret.exe is not inside the android folder or in the same folder as your rootfs.img and initrd.gz etc..
Are u running directly off root? I think the builds you are running are expecting to run within an android directory off root?

The problem is very easy. When you have the USB cable connected on an active connection to the PC, most WM-roms will not show the storage card on the phone itself. Try a normal powersource, not a computer, and it should work just fine.
Right now i was looking for a plugin/hack so the storage card stays visible even though there is a computer-connection. I know some roms do this, but can't find the individual files to do so.

Haret won't boot into Linux

EDIT: FIXED, root folder was wrong name. Mod can delete this
Hello,
I am trying to install Android via SD card to my friends HD2. Whenever I run Haret, I get a black screen with a few lines of text and then it boots back into WinMo 6.5. I have the newest radio. I tried this with another Android build, and it was mostly the same effect.
I looked around in the forum and cant find anything. Anybody know what to do?
