I'm really sorry about opening a new thread, but i really need your help on this one. I don't know what it might be, I tried to search the forum for similar problems, but couldn't find nothing.
So the thing is the sound just disappears in mid call as for me and for the other end to, than it comes back, than it disappears again, and so on for the rest of the conversation. And, as you all would guess, that is very annoying.
My guess: Maybe something with the proximity sensor?
If someone experienced this and already found a fix for this, I would really appreciate the feedback.
Thanks in advance.

I have got an O2 trion which has a rather strange feature. When I call a number which is busy at the moment the busy tone is always delivered through the external speaker even though the external speaker is not on. HTC support says they have never heard of this problem and I should send the device in. I hoped that the ROM update HERMIMG_O2_1.25.207.1_SHIP.nbh whould solve the problem but it does not.
Does anybody else have the same problem and is there a solution?
ThankX
Stefan
Yes, I have same problem.
Same here on my V1605. It seems that there is stiill no way of resolving this issue.
See thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=61115
I've also discovered that when the engaged tone sounds through the speakerphone I'm no longer able to hear the phone ring - it goes straight to call divert. Will phone CS tomorrow to see if they have any answers.
Hi dIesigner_1,
thank you for the link to the existing topic for this problem. I could not find it before my post.
I also do have the screen alignment problem so I sent the device back to O2. I am looking forward what will happen and if both issues can be resolved. :?:
same issue
hi,
i have the strange busy tone on speaker effect too.
thou hapily it doesn't seem to affect my call routing.
would be interested in the solution, though!
cheers.
I have the same issue on my HTC TyTN, not always but it happens random from time to time. Very strange behavior...

any solutions yet?
that is anoying as hell!
Hi,
I got a new O2 trion as an exchange device due to screen alignment problems. I also claimed the external speaker bug. Guess what! The screen alignment is ok so far but the external speaker bug is still there. I called the company CS which is responsible for the exchange. They claim never to have heard about the bug and they offered another exchange...I do not belive this will help as long as nobody complains about the problem and HTC is forced to do something.
I get that sometimes too
Found a solution from another thread
workaround update: change "Script" value to "ap" for tone to play only once, and change "Sound" value to "busytone.wav" (comes in rom, at least for HTC TyTN) - it's not loud at all.

Thanks to shadowcaster for this tip.
Also if you want to disable the sound just remove the Script key.

Can anyone explain the remedy for this problem in the most lamens of terms for someone still soaking wet behind the ears regarding my Tytn and WM6 and smartphones in general? Please?
my BIG PROBLEM:
I am sure all of you know what a "beep" means... that is, when you make a phonecall, you hear those "beeps", indicating that at the other end, the phone is ringing... the problem is I CANNOT HEAR anything... i do not actually know when the call is connected because i cannot hear anything... the volume is so low that i can barely hear something if there is no noise at all around me... but the actuall voice volume is ok, when actually talking with somebody... only the "beeps" have the issue...
how cand i fix this? It is really annoying.. :|
ANYONE... there are hundreds users navigating but not one able to answer this? what a community...
I have this problem on the latest Tachiii custom rom (WM6.5 + TF3D2), in other words, its rom related so try a different one.
tried several... but if it's rom related... it can be fixed.. how????
bump bump bump
Maybe this program can help you. I had problems with my voice and I have resolved this way. If you want a try.

thanx... i will give it a try... can it be uninstalled, should anything go wrong?
Not as simple as the headline. Anyway, I have a SMS tone that lasts for about 15-20 seconds (can't make it shorter, it's chorus of a song) and the thing is that when I hear a message has arrived, I take the phone out of my pocket, but I cannot make it shut up! The melody keeps playing even if I have read the SMS until it's all played. I tried pressing every single button, no results. The only thing that worked was pressing the volume key and pressing the silent button, but that feels kinda stupid. On my old HTC Touch HD i only had to press the hangup button and it would stop ringing. Some help would be most appreciated...
Why don't you cut it with an audio-editor to the needed lenght???
Read a little more careful
It's a chorus of a song very dear to me, I don't want to make it shorter, i wrote that in my post. I want to turn the sound off in the middle of it, not make the melody shorter. If you're going to answer anything, read the post first and make sure that you understand it before giving an idea...
Here's an idea, try being a little courteous to someone who has taken the time to try and assist you.
May help you to get an eventual solution!
Just say you don't know
I was courteous, but I didn't see any help. Maybe I spelled something wrong. I said that I DON'T want to cut the melody and the advice is: use an audio editor to make it shorter. Gee, why didn't I think of that? I hope you don't make it your business looking around and commenting people are rude without offering any actual thoughts on the problem. I created this thread to get help, not a lesson from you. So, either help me in a constructive way or don't try to help anymore.
question has been covered before and the answer is you can't. (well no one has figured it out yet, at any rate)
Thank you
Not the answer I was hoping for, but thanks. Now at least I know where I stand. Hope someone will make it happen soon...

Proximity Sensor disables wlan
i have the same problem.
within speaker mode i can hear the melody from my PBX but moving the phone to my head or placing a finger above the sensors reduces or holds my wireless connection so i cant hear anything.
how can this behavior be changed. i want the sensor to dim the display and to lock the screen.
Very confused. New to the S7E. I've got the Tmobile G935T running APK1 stock firmware. Every now and then, while on a call, the people in talking to say they can't hear me, like I've pressed mute. Obviously I have not.
I can't make it happen. It just does randomly.
I've read some stuff about people sound randomly cutting out. But this is the caller not hearing me. I can still hear them.
Is it just me? Any advice?

I had the similar problem and searched for a resolve and a member posted that there was an adaptive sound setting that may help your phone conversations. I have the similar problem and there must be a patch or a work around for this bug.

So I need to go thru the adaptive sound setup? I can't seem to find the thread (or post) your talking about.
