Just logged into HTCSense.com, and it says the Phone Finder is disabled. However, it is actually enabled on my phone.
Maybe will try deleting my account on my phone, and then re-sync it.
Anyone else had this?

Yeah, seems to be working fine
Very weird. It worked perfectly when I had Android on my HD2. Now it's not working
Everything else works though, I can ring my phone via the site, and it works with no delay.

i've read about enabling google talk in other threads. how do you do this?

Mine all connects fine. I had mine connected ages ago actually. Maybe it's just the (possible) high demand?
I tried making HTCSense.com account, everything went fine before the site asked me to log in from a phone.. Which is on pre order
So the email verification worked ok.
As per my account I am supposed to be somewhere in Nigeria ... lol
Yeah, you need to refresh it. And if you don't own the phone it says that. Very confused as to why mine is apparently disabled.

It seems that not everything is functioning just yet on HTCSense.com as I have had some stuff working then failing and vice versa.
When I first registered the "Make my phone ring" service worked but now doesn't. The location finder stated incorrectly that I had not got the setting on my phone checked, but now it does actually show a map on the dashboard albeit stating that I am about 2000 miles away from where I actually am! (Refreshing does not work) Loading of contacts also fails but did load on one occasion!
I trust this service is not completely up and running properly or they really are over saturated by new users. Either way I am certain it'll work eventually and be very useful.
Yeah I figured it was probably just an error on HTC's end. I look forward to it working though.

The peep app is up and running again! I'm ecstatic; as the app stopped working from the moment I got my HD2!?

Sorry to hear that azlan96. Email HTC, they're pretty promt with their replies? Not sure how the updates going in Malaysia, but I'm pretty sure peeps working almost everywhere else?
It seemse it does work almost everywhere. Mine does not work either in WinMo, but it does in Android. Cannot login.

How about trying this:
1. Log out from your Twitter on your pc
2. Log in HTC Peep
3. Once you can login HTC Peep, you can start loging into Twitter clients on your Pc.
That should do the job. It works for me. No more "account is forbidden to access Twitter server". LoL
seems that those of us that had logged out of peep are still not able to get back in.
I get invalid user name and password no matter what i try. Though I like motweets better anyways. worth the 4bucks for no ads.

Yeah... Just signed out every app that i have, mobile or desktop, revoked access to all except Peep and logged out, but still no luck.

still NOT working. this is BS.
Perhaps you do use the wrong password?
The problem was related to some upgrades Twitter made to their servers.
They have been rolling back the change, perhaps the server you use from your country has not(yet) been rolled back?
Over here (me in Holland...) Peep has been working since sunday afternoon (as was announced on friday...)
been using the same login info that i use on standard web browsers when accessing twitter. you're probably right about my location not getting a fix for peep yet. probably.

Strange I use telfort as well, butt i still have te problem of not getting in. and yes I use the correct password.
I logged out in MoTweets /twitter, soft reset my phone still no luck...

Latest publishe by HTC is:

ROM is same Radio is earlier (mine is later), protocol is also different. I do not know about manilla, but these two differences are apparent to mee.
Perhaps some ROM Cooker could tell me if I am wrong BTW

I had to take drastic measures. Hard reset.
I guess the problem has to be in a application I installed (perhaps MoTweets!?)
Maybe de-installation would do the trick too but I wanted to get a fresh install anyway.
I use an original Rom. (last update)
HTC Peep works again, so i'm happy.
I heard that the fact Peep wasn't working, had to do with Twitter changing the way apps authenticated the username and password (from basic auth to oAuth), and since Peep only used basic auth it became useless on August 31th (the day Twitter changed the auth method)...
I am curious how you got Peep to work again, because it keeps failing on my device (even though I too am from Holland, using Vodafone)... so I'm just going to check if HTC has an update for my rom

I have a google account linked to my phone as well as an email account. its been that was fine since i got the phone. Now i am trying to add a second google account, to get the emails and it keeps saying that i have no data connection and to try wifi. so that what i do and it still doesnt work. ive tried like 15-20 times at different places and on different wifi networks and it wont sync. You fellas got any ideas on how I can fix it? oh i am rooted with clockwork installed but no actually roms or anything installed.

This is going to sound crazy but it should work. Add your second account through the youTube app. Load up the YouTube app and hit the menu button, then try to log in with the Google account you want to add to your phone. It should now show up in accounts & sync.

Glad it worked! I thought the same thing as you but tried it anyway since nothing else worked. Hopefully the more people who have success with this, it will become more well know. Please share your success with others.

Installed the Dexter upgrade 1.2. Update went flawlessly. Followed all the steps outlined in earlier posts. Now have Calendar!!!! and market icon. When I try to add my gmail account I get the following message -
"Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server."
I can sign into my gmail account through the browser...but can't seem to connect via the "add a google account" or through the gmail icon (which was not a problem before the upgrade.)
Also tried to set up a new gmail account. Get the same message.
Any ideas?
Make sure your date and time is set correctly
Time and date are set properly. But I switched to automatic just in case...

Market issues
I am having the same issue with the google / gmail account setup. It does not appear to be connecting through the wireless when connecting to google. I have let the inital connection fail then it sets up the wireless and that gives the message about not being able to connect to data services (cell network). I can browse with the browser fine and is otherwise normal but will not set up google accounts. Did the factory wipe and the install went great without any other issues.
Cannot get to market HELP!
Ok this is a major problem, market won't allow you to sign in with your google account. Ever since the update to 1.2 is like they put a lock on the market! I wiped both the user settings as well as the cache before updating to 1.2 and I am still locked out. Can anyone clarify what I am doing wrong?!

OK...came to my office and tried a different wireless network..not that I thought that was the problem, but anything is a shot. I have wiped the cache, etc. et.c

All the workarounds that I have found use You Tube...but A7 doesn't have You Tube and no other sites that I can access offer it.
Since this thread isn't on the "developer" part of XDA not sure if anyone who can help is seeing it.
Here's the upside...I didn't have market before..so I haven't lost anything except a lot of time.
Has anyone gone back to the previous mod version to see if it doing the same thing? Could it be an issue with Google and not the mod?
I have not done that...but will try it tonight. I had othe problems with 1.1...FC on both sound and brightnes and the calendar, so I went right to 1.2 after that rather than load anything back onto the device.
This has been happening since yesterday. the g tablet section is having the same issue, as are many other I'm sure. Google seem to be screwing with the market.

Help me out here. All of a sudden a popup cam up saying "Sign-in error for *my e-mail*" I tried entering the correct password but it thinks for a bit than tells me the same thing. Ive tried on wifi and over 3g but same thing. Im getting email just fine on my computer and all is working.
Can someone help me out, worse case is ill reflash and see if that work (or just reload my backup) but I was wondering why this may happen. Its really annyoing cause it deleted all of my contacts and now I cant do anything with my phone without knowing someones number.

Have you recently enabled 2-step verification on your Google account? If so you need to generate a specific password for your SGS2.

I have not, but now that you mention it, thats not a bad idea to enable.
Either way I think I solved it. I went into the market and reentered my info and it seemed to work fine. Not sure why it did not work in the pop-up error but never the less it should be working.

I don't know why, but I can't add my samsung account to my tab. I know I'm inputing the right things but it says invalid everytime >.<
Im dealing with the same problem, however if i go to the website itself everythingvworks fine.... Its just on the tablet settings that i cant log in.
I think many people are having the same issue. When I try to log in, it fails to reach the server. But when I do, I don't have valid account.
So I tried to create another account, but it tells me that I'm already registered. But as same as capufo, I can login via web.
It's freaking catch 22. I gave up on it.

I had similar issues when I first got mine. After a few days, I found this solution on another website, and it worked for me. Others have verified it fixed their issue:
Go to settings and manage applications.
Force stop the Samsung Account and then clear data.
Open the Samsung Apps app and it will ask you to log in again.

c-loo is so right. Follow his instructions everyone. That so fixed the issue.
But one follow up question though. Does it make sense that sync is turned off for my samsung account by default. That is how it is on mines and that is how it was on mines even before.

I had the same issue. I'm not sure if it will help or not, but it seems to have been fixed by changing my password on the website. Once I did that, my tab was able to verify the account and then check for updates normally.
