Hello,
I think there are phones (like mine) that doesn't work right with android os. I tried a lot of builds and most of them crashes while booting.
With WMO the phone WORKS PERFECT!!
I tried
-task29,
-rewrite radio (2.12.50.02_2)
-Change a lot of SDCards of different marks. Formatting with panasonic tool and XP format at diferents cluster size (16k and 32k)
-rewrite WMO ROM (without 2.14 drivers) a lot of times.
I think there is something in the HW that hangs on booting process. Maybe setting the vdd of voltage regulator becouse some builds crash inmediatly after of this message.
I only have 3 functionaly builds (only with any seconds screen freezes):
mattc froyo sense 1.7
mdeejay froyo sense 2.0
mdeejay froyo sense 2.1
The rest are crashing!!!
Im going to put android boot logs with the hope that some good developer can determine this bug.
HANGS WHILE WHITE HTC WHITE SCREEN. Sometimes boot itselfs

Thanks for any help!!
Reading your post it seems you've tried almost everything, so just keep trying different radios and roms. And hope!! For everyone else who's confused about what to do when android wont boot:
1) Install Chuckys Droid Rom with the recommended radio, i believe 2.11/2.10 is the most stable.
2) Format your SD Card in Ubuntu as MBR then create a single FAT Partition. This is because once the partitioning is messed up xp cant fix it, this was the only way i found to get mine to boot properly.
3) Choose your android build carefully, my best luck has been with the CM6 based versions. As far as I know Shubcraft 1.5 is the most stable, but hyperdroid is very close and faster. If you use hyperdroid make sure you edit the startup.txt as the path to the android folder is incorrect and will fail to boot.
4) Enjoy Android!!
I haven't seen a thread for this question, I don't know, it could be possibly because its a bad question. But basically, I'm new to putting Android on the HD2 so I don't completely understand 100% of what I am reading. I've installed Android about 3 times, but always deleted it and went back to WinMo cause of the calling issue.
All I would like to know is, do I have to download anything specific or run anything before or after I run the CLCRD and HaRet in the Android folder from the Froyostone v2 .rar?
In the Froyostone v2 thread I noticed this, and I am wondering if I need to download anything from the following threads in order to run this version perfectly.
Code:
Build base: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=742371
--------------------------------------------------
darkstone 2.6.32.9 #3 Kernel:
- Based on GIT (latest revision: 30/08/2010)
- Overclock enabled and undervolted (by huanyu - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=746997)
- Interactive governor added
- KGSL shadow writes modification
Kernel Diff patch: included in build, also available here: http://www.multiupload.com/S8XHK89HRG
Rootfs based on dan1j3l's Froyo V1 build
I have a regular TMO USA HD2 with only HSPL3 in it. Radio 2.10.50.26
Thank you
idk but i have tried five different builds and mine runs a few lines then gets to "booting android kernel" then stops as the screen slowly fades to black. I want android on this damn thing. WTH am i doing wrong??
First, I am no expert on Android. However, I was able to get the Froyostone V2 working, and have been using it awhile.
You do need to format your SD card to FAT 32. You need to make sure the Android folder is on the root of your SD card (for Froyostone anyway-I think it is different for other builds). According to Darkstone, you should not have any other "Android" folders on your card.
Once all that is done, just open the folder and run CLRCAD and HARET.
As far as the robo voice, I don't have it running the Energy ROM.
EDIT: Forgot to answer your original question: I did not download anything other than the original build. I believe that is just an FYI from Darkstone you are referring to, and he says "included in build".
Good staff
I have already installed several androids and they all happen and then install it works fine until the restart after that never get put to work again!
What am I to fail!
Help please!!

Wow. If I understand you correctly, this has been SOOOOO covered in this forum.
The HD2 does not BOOT to Android unless you have set up a special program that STILL loads Windows Mobile first and then boots to Android.
You always have to run CLRCAD and HARET from your Android folder on your SD card, EVERYTIME you reboot. There are programs that automate this if you do a SEARCH.
J
Thanks for your response
I always do the same, and similarly, that is the way you have mentioned!
But it only works once after turning off or renice do the same and already works if you delete and re-paste it all makes work on sd!
U have several android builds ................ duh................... each folder is on the root of your SD card so Windows doesn't know which build to load since each build has an Android name on it. Rename each folder and its startup text to match it.
If its not that then I'm not sure what your talking about.
I think its your radio version, your using 2.14.xxxxx but you should only use up to 2.12.xxxxx see the following thread.

Hi, all I have a HTC HD2 on T-mobile i never really used it as i have a Iphone aswell and found the windows app store to be pointless all though the phone is a great bit of kit technically windows lets it down. so when i found out you could switch to android i was happy and tried it.
I believe i followed all the steps correctly
firstly I flashed my phone successfully using HSPL3_PKG got the "we hacked message" so that was done with no problems.
Second i installed "Energy.Leo.21683.Sense2.5.Cookie.Cookie.2.0.Touch.Of.Glass.Nov.02" rom onto my phone that was done succesfully.
I then downloaded the FroyoStone_Sense_V3.2 build copied it on to my SD card. I then follow the steps given to run ANDROID but all i ever get is 9 lines of text these 9 lines read
haret boot
shutting down hardware
turning off mmu...
in preloader
PSR=60000DF
tags relocated to 0x11808000(size 0x00000f00)
kernel relocated to 0x11808000(size 0x023f12c)
initrd relocated to 0x12200000(size 0x01d0137)
jumping to kernal...
and it doesnt get beyond these lines can any one help me please i would really appreciate it.
Thank you

If you are going to use an sd build you can choose americandroid
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA Premium App
Do i need to change anything then? SPL or something like that?
i followed his instruction and it hang on Jumping on kernel (custom)
Or do i need to w8 loonger?
Tnx for now
If you install android on sd then you no need nothing else.
If you use nand android, you need install:
1. hspl
2. Radio rom (recomended)
3. magldr
4. Flash clockwork recovery with correct partition layout.
And you may choose android from
Android.hd2roms.com
sd ROMs are meant to be booted from your sd card keeing windows mobile where as nand ROMs take over the space and delete windows mobile. it will boot up directly into android by having a nand android build on your phone.
if you ask 10 ppl here what build is better you might get 11 different answers. mutil suggested americandroid which is a good build thats updated often for sd. i personally like nand over sd & what I feel is one of the best nand builds to start off with is CMYLXGO's BlueTopia HD found here. he gives a very detailed explantion on how to install it including all the files you will need including installing magldr which is needed to install android to nand.
there are other programs that will allow you to install android but i feel magldr is a good starting point. not to scare you off but the only draw back with magldr is your phone will not charge when its turned off. if you dont like the fact that you lose windows mobile by going this route you can always revert back to stock windows mobile.
http://www.htc.com/europe/SupportViewNews.aspx?dl_id=1043&news_id=782
Go to this and update your Rom (your build isn't working because of the older rom version)
Then take your android build of your choice and copy android folder to SD card. Clrcad and Haret. All should work fine.
Best for me is BOYPPC:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1062881
Runs perfectly smooth and fast, without bugs by now in the latest version (I have "Ginger 2.3.4 Sense.s_V35" installed! (install by MAGLDR 1.13!)
Maybe u should first inform about MAGLDR and CWR
I'm currently running the newest AmeriCanAndroid SD build.
Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=957652
This is currently my favorite SD-build.
It's very fast and smooth.
Im using nand miui rom tuned from jw.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1050645
Miui rom is without sense.
Is fast and nice.
My radio rom is 2.15.50.14.
OP, trial and error. See what's best for you. We can't answer that.
