May I ask that it will be possible to buy it simfree/unbranded from Hong Kong for the first launches? I hope HTC will keep it's words and start selling this in November as they told.

Yeah, as I told before, it's so odd that a Taiwan company starts to launch and sell first it's new devices apart from Asia.
It's like Steve Job makes to launch new Iphone in China Anyway I am checking Hong Kong simfree retail sellings on a daily basis because a friend of mine will visit Hong Kong between November 16-20, that's my only luck. I am praying that Desire HD will be in shops in until then

A friend told me so :
Just go to any major retail chain - Fortress and Broadway are both good choices. Time Sqaure in Causeway Bay is a good place to start, but you should be able to find them just about anywhere.

I think you still need to settle the 7% GST tax when it arrives in Singapore Customs before the DHL guy delivers it to you.

While contacting Handtec to pre-order the HD2, I have been informed that there will be a delayed. Instead of 11 of November, the new availability date has been pushed back to 18 November or so.
Can anyone enquire with their retailer and confirm (or refute) this bad news?
Apparently, HTC advised them of the delay; yet, no details have been given.
I suspect a ROM or logistics problem.
Clove changed the ETA as well last night

I can agree with you to some extent, but I had already made my mind that I was going to get and play with it net weekend. A delay is a delay as far as I am concerned and if there is no, there may be more! Who knows...!

Why order from Expansys, Play.com and Amazon have it cheaper both for the 11th release date. Nobody really knows when they will be dispatched, usually just before release date.

Not everyone is from UK...
Play doesn't sell electronics overseas and from Amazon.co.uk, the price with the postage stays almost the same price from Expansys.
Also in Expansys it's a lot easier to take the VAT off the price...

I am truly exited about getting this phone. I got my Hero last August and it's never been out of my hand. I'm due an Upgrade next month so hopefully Orange will have released it by then. They always seem to be slower than the rest on release date. I really hope the phone is all that it should be. Hopefully HTC will send some out for review purposes this week to tide us over until release date.

I'm in the UK not sure which website is most reliable for guarantee delievery as advertised. The last thing I want to do is but a pre-order thru, get charged and delivery is not completed as advertised!
The only reason wanting to do this so that I can get it as soon as it is launched rather then wait for updgrade with t-mobile which is on the 18th Oct. Any suggestions and also do websites charge on dispatch or charge as soon as you pre-order?

In America Nexus S sold $529,99 = about 400€.

In this case the Nexus S worths only if European citizens have someone in US to buy it about 400€...
Ιn other case all those plastics and hardware doesn't worth 650€ only because Google will give direct support to Nexus S...

IMO 650 EUR is defenetly too much for Nexus S. Even factory unlocked iPhone 4 is cheaper in UK. Im from EU, but I will buy nexus s from US.
Just spoke to CPWH customer services and they say they have not received the shipment from the suppliers yet and can't give a exact date to when they will.. ask me to call back Monday.
Im gonna wait until prices for Germany are announced.
Due to the fact that getting NS from US would cost me in the end ~550€, i hope the price in germany wont be any higher - at least i expect that.
Paying 650€ in UK and get it imported here ends up around 700€.
iPhone 4 is only at 630€ at apple-store here...

Do you have any contact names there for anyone who knows what's going on?
I've spoken to customer services twice and neither even knew what the Nexus S is. I've raised a complaint and even then the response is a bit non-de-script.
I ordered mine on the 7th December and have heard nothing about delivery times etc. It's supposed to be 20th December in the UK but still CPW are clueless.
I ordered on the day it was announced. I spoke to CPW this afternoon and they told me that some stock has been released today but there was no guarantee I'd get one and there is more stock next week. Sounds like BS to me, I'll just have to wait and see.

They did this last night as well, it showed in stock in the evenings, and in the day out of stock, lol
My contact in CPW said sunday stock arrival, monday shipping and tuesday arrival, that is if your home isnt under 50ft of snow
And i can tell you this for free....
There have been NO deliverys of NS to CPW as of yet at all

I sold my HTC 10 thinking I would get the U Ultra for its bigger screen, but I didn't because of rumors about the HTC Ocean "true 2017 flagship" now named U11.
And I did pre-ordered the HTC U11 early this afternoon on htc.com/fr : the HTC U11 Brilliant Black 64Gb will be mine early june, shipping starting on the 1st of june.
I'll update my post when I get the shipping confirmation and when I do receive it.
I invite European buyers of the HTC U11 to do just the same

Would love some more info. JDI panel? Vertically polarized in portrait? MID? Firmware version? Photo of download mode / system info would be nice (obviously with obscured serial / IMEI).

In PM with adequate people yes. But you're right, I thought the program will end with the official release yesterday, but I think you're right
BTW the RUU should be helpful maybe later because the dev models often are locked with HTC debug tools and can hardly being used as a retail one

Yes, there was a code sent to my Twitter message box. Have tried to share with a couple of other people, but turns out it was a single use code and was only valid for 24 hours

I tweeted them on the off-chance that they would send me a code... and they did - reduced the total price to £551.65! Thanks for the heads-up!

That'd be great. But as I always did I'll just patiently wait for it to be announce by @jcase and/or @beaups. Such a good work takes some time
Meanwhile I pre-ordered my HTC U11 at o2 germany. Expected delivery date as of today: 01st June.
