When and where?

Does anybody know when and where you can get this phone when it comes out? I called T-Mobile (I know they're not going to sell it, but was hoping for some information) and they knew even less than I did. Everything I have read said you must purchase if from google. $530 with no contract or $180 with a two year agreement and you only have one plan to pick from. The supposed retail date is January 5th. You would think they would have done some sort of advertising or at least have something come up on a Google search.

9AM on the 5th @ google.com/phone is the rumor.

u guys notice how it doesn't say time zone. i find that odd. because google is in what Seattle,WA so I find it strange it does not specify.

Google is in Mountain View, CA. South of San Francisco. Still in the same time zone as Seattle.

The press conference starts at 10 am, so who really knows. How likely are they to open up sales 1 hour before the conference starts? Actually, I would open up sales today if I was google, and let everyone order but the shipments don't arrive until 10AM the day of the conference.

How much would it cost in Europe?Who will be selling it?Google or HTC? Which carriers would have it for sale?
So far there aren't any news/leaks/rumors regarding the n1 in Europe, so I guess only at 05/01/2010 we will have the full details.

Wow, didn't take long to get it rooted huh? Instant buy for me. Can't wait for that Android 2.1, AMOLED, 5.0 MP w/Flash, 3.7" screen, and 1GHz Snapdragon Processor. Just can't wait!

it will also be possible to buy it at google.com/phone and ship it to europe. Guys at engadget.com have the full terms of sale wich say that this will be possible. Only thing is you will have to pay taxes and the shipping ... but I don't care bout that, just wanna have that phone ;-)

has anyone read the terms and conditions, it says phone might be 430. hope thats true not the 530 thats a little high

I'd also like to know about European release. Hopefully it will be released with HTC Branding (hey I like to rep HTC )
I don't think the rumours of the webpage are true tbh. Although strangely in the terms they make you agree that you understand the phone is made by HTC and not Google =/

After the press conference details, this will be the hottest device on the market! A must have!!

Hi i orderd the Nexus One today (im in the UK) it looks awsome. Just a quick question to who else has brought the phone ? and where you all are :-D. Im upgrading from my G1 and iPhones

i bought one... love my G1 but until cm4.2.12.2 it was killing me, So after a little over a year I'm movin up. I hope to root it and get the same enjoyment out of it as I am with the G1 on CM builds!

No idea about the shipping Id like to know too lol id say 2-3 days more than the USA shipping, and yer the VAT may be a killer or it may not get charged .... either way its a 1ghz beast with 512mb of flash and 512mb of ram

Bought one in Italy!! Good ole military FPO address. Cant wait for cyanogen and other awesome devs to get this ball rolling!

err the shipping suppose to be overnight, so we'll see about this, I ordered mine around 11:00 or so. I haven't received any confirmation on shipping as well though.

well if i dont get the tracking tomororw i'll get it hte same time i get the phone haha i got it when it had the free overnight shipping.

Bought one and engraved my name and email address on it (USA)

i'd be so pissed if it didnt come tomorrow, in their press conf they even said if you ordered it today it'd be on your door step tomorrow, so we'll see.

I had the money ready to purchase then when I went to order it Google said I couldn't get the phone at $178.00. I call tmobile and the verified that I was indeed available for an upgrade and am not currently under a contract. I sent google an email. Hopefully we can get this worked out asap because I really want this beast. I love my G1 but this will be twice as freaking awesome.

Hello guys, how much does it cost in Europe, or you ordered it in US $ from google.com/phone? Maybe you won't pay vat, they should have a storehouse somewhere in Europe. It says they don't ship to my country.

DONT change your mind i have had some phones in my time and this blows them all away

i've also been waiting patiently.. so tempted to get either a N1 or desire... but i know I want a bigger screen having used HD2 till recently, don't think I could go back to anything less than 4"..
btw, when it's released in US will it be available at other places around the world? os is 14~15th the release date for US only?
I am hoping I could grab it for cheaper than what it is now from UK or something..

I did read France are having about the same time as the us,I'm sure it wont be long before its all over the place

ordered mine yesterday from Dell UK got fone call from dell today confirming the order and say the carrier will fone me about delivery.
bit over the top really normally u just buy something online and they deliver it whenever
still LOOKING FORWARD to it , my birthday next monday and work bonus on Thursday

reckon it will be $500 USD around the world? UK prices are a little bit more than that at the moment..
doesn't dell streak support 850 as well as 900? so no need for two variations right? wonder why it's taking so long for them to release globally..
this is slightly off, but does anyone know if DELL have international warranty??? clearly I will be buying from US or europe but will be using in ASIA and Australia.. wonder if they have any policies regarding international warranty..

Its only just been released in the US, and has not come into stock in the uk yet, it will go officially on sale on monday.

Im holding fire on an online order to see if it will be in the shops on Monday, if not i will order it Monday for delivery Tuesday... The stores usually get stock the same day as their online service

Yeah its a pain...
I got my hand burnt before preordering the desire and the desire z so i dont ever preorder anymore. You never get it any faster, actually there are always people that get it before the pre-orderer, its fooked up;(
I spoke to a guy at carphone and he said it may come into stock tomorrow and may even be sent for saturday

HTC One Launch - (15th March UK)

Hi All,
Im questioning this, but i thought i would share what i just chatted about with a local p4u shop.
short story: Was told it might be able to buy as early as the 1st of March.
long story:
I went in to ask if i could pre order to pick up from store (i knew i couldnt but i was hoping they would hold one
for me or something like that )
Guy said let me just check when there coming in, he mentioned he was getting a single unit delivered today
and i was free to come back and play with it. Obviously i said yes to this as only one ive played with has been in a big
metal shell. So im waiting on a phone call for that.
But he seemed to think i would be able to buy the phone from this Friday (1st march). He did mention that he wasnt 100% sure on this
and did say dont pre order it online as it takes 4 days to process it and you wont get it before, so it could be a ploy to get me to wait
til its in to buy it from them.
This is only a tiny local p4u shop so the fact its getting a unit delivered today would suggest that they have a fair few in. So mabye they
are giving a few out before hand to those special customers (i wish)
The fact they all knew what the HTC one is shocked me, ive been in phone stores when a new phone has just been released and they
dont even know what its called!
I dont want to say the local store name as they did ask me not to tell anyone i would get to play with one.
Any opinions/thoughts?
Personally I think they are getting Fridays mixed up, but a man can dream.
If i get hands on it i will try and get a few photos/video if they let me.

SFR (french mobile operator) announced it yesterday on their website dedicated to android.
You can take a loot at it : android[dot]sfr[dot]fr/htc-one-chez-sfr/ (french) (I can't write a link because i'm a new account :/ )

Very interesting if that is the case I will cancel my preorder and just get one in store instead in a week or so.

Maybe HTC have decided to pull the release date up so they can trump the Samsung attempt at trumping them ...
but SFR are really only declaring that they'll have it available "first on their web site on March 5th" and then 'progressively' to all their shops ... so it could be an earlier release is imminent, or it might just be a marketing ploy by SFR to get in front of the other French providers by making it look as though they will get it out sooner. We all know about mail order and delivery delays eh ???

P4U in the Bull Ring centre have had a unit to play with for a few days..........shops with demo units.
I've been trying to find other places to play with the One but no one else seems to have found anywhere.

yer i know i was one that told people. Problem is the one is in a big case that you cant move, i.e. you dont get a feel for the phone
the design and cant use either of the camera's.

IMO when they say 5th of march it only say available on the website from the 5th of march to pre order it and not to buy it.

I don't know, SFR has often some exclusiveness (nexus 4, purple XZ, etc.) so I think the ONE will be available on March 5th but only for SFR. I'll contact them on twitter, we'll see what are they gonna say.

I hope it's true. Don't forget the Xperia Z is launching on March 1st and pre-orders have been good so far so the sooner the ONE is out the better. Hopefully they don't have supplies issues with the ONE and I'm praying the 64GB version is out at the same time.

yer the 64gb would be nice but i really cant see it happening. (read somewhere htc said it was official it wasnt coming to the uk via twitter??)
I think they release it after 2 months to try keep sales going/when the s4 goes on sale.
But tbh 32gb will be enough for me, just hope most of it is usable!

I think you're right. Larger capacity items almost always seem to come later. Mind you Expansys dot ca has it listed and is taking pre-orders so maybe at most 1 month wait?

Release date in Italy said to be on March 8th.
