HTC magic 32a s-on
hboot 1.76.0007
radio 6.35.07.29
its because of the perfected spl right?
From what I can see, with my limited experience, either you left out a part after "s-on", or your phone thinks its neither HTC nor google.
It should say S-ON H
And I dont think that 0007 is perfected.
But I'm a noob and would wait for mumilover to respond...

I want ALL fastboot info.
How did you get this info....
I don't believe that rom-manager has the power to **** up your fastboot.
Recovery and system, maybe - but not fastboot.
When you hold back-button and power-button together what do you see?
Write it down here or take a picture or what ever...
Can you see fastboot?
If you can't see anything beside flash screen then i can't help you!

Similar Issue
Hey Guys and Girls,
This is my first time posting on this site. I have run into a similar issue and have attempted to post on numerous sites without having any luck solving the problem.
The quick version: I ran z4root to root my phone; it said successful. I then installed Rom Manager and switched my recovery to Clockwork (the most recent one). Next I downloaded the latest CM6 from the Rom Manager with GApps. After having unsuccessful attempts at backing up and wiping first, I decided to try installing the Rom without backing up or wiping data. The Rom install worked this time (I got installation successful). However, when the phone rebooted itself, it never got past the Rogers screen. It is now in a constant state of rebooting until I pull the battery.
I can get to fastboot, but cannot get to the recovery screen. My HTC Magic 32A specs from the fastboot menu are:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON H
HBOOT-1.76.0010 (SAP50000)
CPLD-12
RADIO-6.35.16.19
Some other info that may help:
-my PC recognizes my phone (I have been trying the Radio Switcher v.GUI 4.1 and it says the phone is connected) but it is not allowing me to flash anything.
-When I try "adb devices" it gives error: no device attached but "fastboot devices" gives me a number.
-I have tried putting "recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.7.0H" on my sdcard, but the HBoot says no image or wrong image
-The Radio Switcher v.GUI 4.1 says my phone is not rooted
-I tried the goldcard method of rooting, but because I can't get the phone to recognize the sdcard, I can't get a proper CID for the goldcard creator
Hopefully I've provided enough info to get some help. I am waiting patiently, but am starting to get sick of the old Sony Ericsson Anything helps!

You have to make a goldcard... if you can't make it using your device, then do it using any other android device.
When you have made the goldcard come back here, and i'll guide through the rest :0)
Done. I made a gold card previously...hopefully it still works. Once it's made into a goldcard, is it always a goldcard?
Actually... re-checking your info - you don't need a goldcard..
No need for sdcard either...
Download this sappimg.zip :
http://rapidshare.com/files/437924840/sappimg.zip
Then run this command from a command prompt:
Code:
fastboot flash zip sappimg.zip
Make sure that the sappimg.img is in the same folder as fastboot.exe
The sappimg.zip is the newest rogers update... the same version as you currently have...
No need for goldcard or anything :0)
if you get any troubles, then post here the outcome of the command prompt..
When all is done, you should be back on stock 2.1...
From there you follow my guide (check my signature) to root and get custom recovery.
Good luck

I had the same problem as a few of you and after trying everything I eventually decided to try installing SAPPIMG.zip from hboot and it worked fine. Took me a while to find the correct SAPPIMG but you should be able to find it on the forums here. You have to put the SAPPIMG.zip on the root of your SD card from your computer, put it in the phone, boot into fastboot and go into hboot and it'll load the SAPPIMG file. If you have the wrong SAPPIMG it'll usually give you an error when trying to install it'll say someting like update failed or wrong device ID. It took me about 4-5 different SAPPIMG to find the correct one for my phone.

Hmm... try this:
Code:

The above will set the device into RUU mode.
Then download the official rogers RUU..
Run it and it should install just fine... no need for goldcard or sdcard..
I hope this will work.

Hi, trawling though the forum in hope for getting a 2.1 Sense ROM working on my phone (which i have been attempting for the last 48hrs) i came across a post that has wrong information on it, which i didn't notice till it was too late.
the phone is now showing as a Sapphire PVT 32A ENG S-OFF H with radio 6.35.10.18
rest is same as before
before it was
Phone is 32B UK Vodafone
Sapphire PVT 32B ENG S-OFF H
HBOOT-1.33.2010 (Sapphire)
CPLD-10
Radio-3.22.20.17
It will not load into recovery but does allow me to get to fastboot and HBoot, the problem is it will not extract Hboot files (saphh.nbg or what ever its called)
IMO all i need is a 32B Radio img to flash with Fastboot as i did before, any ideas???
Ash
So is this bricked now???
Do you have debug mode on your phone? if so you may be able to recover using android SDK.
I know of ppl and posts suggesting it is possible to put a 32A rom on a 32B with some performance losses.
take a look at here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=547133
Some reason my Goldcard became normal and will no longer work when i Hex edit the card, its a Kingston 2Gb, any ideas??
when it was working i couldnt get it to flash anything, kept getting verification errors when i tried to flash anything to the phone.
so basically i think its completely dead,
am open to ideas how to brick the phone more so to make the ROM unreadable so i can get it replaced
if there arent any performance problems then dont worry, you can "push" or "fastboot" your radio, do a search for "radio installation" and u will find what u need

Not sure if this has been answered, but I thought I'd help. Put the 32B radio image in the "AndroidSDK" directory on your computer. Start phone is Fastboot, then connect via USB. In command prompt, confirm device is ready with "fastboot devices", if you see your device listed you are good to go. Then type "fastboot erase radio". Once completed, type "fastboot flash radio XXXXX.img" (Where XXXXX is the name of the radio image, for example: "radio.img") for the radio image, go to developer.htc.com/adp.html . Find the "Android 1.6" "Radio Image" "ota-radio-2_22_19_26I.zip", Extract the "radio.img" from that zip file. Let me know if that helps. I'll check up later if you need further instruction.

have now spent about the last 2 weeks trying to sort this, googled everything i can think to / find on the forum and still no avail
1.Turn your phone off. Turn it on by holding Back and Power, or Vol. down and Power. Either way, boot into the bootloader.
You should see the three Androids on skateboards, and the menu title should say "Fastboot".
2.Connect your device to the computer. The display on your phone should now say "Fastboot USB".
3.Open up the shell/terminal on your computer, and type
fastboot devices [enter]Your device should be listed with it's serial number, and should say "fastboot".
4.Change directory to where you have saved your recovery image. I.e. type "cd /path/to/recovery.img in windows prompt, press enter.
5.You may issue a "dir" command (Windows) or "ls" (Unix/Linux) to make sure you are at the right directory, or just skip this step.
6.Type
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Perhaps?
doesnt work just freezes on load and tried both H and G versions

I flashed the 2.22.23.02 through fastboot by mistake and now I can't get into recovery mode, or flash any other radios onto the phone. The fastboot menu is the only thing I can get to on the phone.
I tried reflashing the 2.22.23.02 again but it won't go through...
Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to unbrick it?
Edit: Tried sappimg.nbh via volume down and power button but i get a Model ID error. Now i can't fastboot anything over to my phone.
Edit: Flashed the sappimg.nbh, sappimg 2.16.707.3, sappimg 2.53.707.2, via gold card but I now get the error: Main Version is older!
I have answered similar questions before...
Use the search function.
But to get you started here is a quick solution.
1) flash eng spl that starts with 1.33.20XX where XX can be 05,09 or 10.
Restart into fastboot.
2) flash the right spl/radio/recovery combo.
This is confirmed to work....
Next time post ALL fastboot info... there are some info mission in your post!

I have just tried flashing hboot-1.33.2010 via fastboot.
However, I get the error message:
sending 'hboot' (512 KB)... FAILED (remote: not allow)
do this:
----- If you boot into fastboot and have issues with "fastboot:remote not allow", then your SPL won't work. Upgrade to Engineering SPL before continuing.
----- If you do not have an Engineering SPL, download 1.33.2010 and flash through recovery before starting this procedure. Flash the SPL update.zip like any other update.zip file.
in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=605239
Unfortunately... I can't boot into recovery either, nor can i push a recovery image to the phone. I get the same error: "fastboot:remote not allow".
ok... you are very limited...
Do this:
Find a suitable sappimg.nbh... Not sappimg.zip...
Use this which i just uploaded for you:
http://rapidshare.com/files/421772202/SAPPIMG.nbh
Using your goldcard flash the sappimg.nbh in fastboot.
The sappimg.nbh does not need any unzipping... it's a complete img of the nand and overwrites everything.
I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere....
is there a way to create a goldcard at this point for me?
I can't get into debug mode on the phone (for obvious reasons) and therefore can't do adb....
Find ANY android device and make a goldcard...
Then use the goldcard on your device...
wouldn't suppose anyone have the goldcard.img from their email that they could send me...
1)Download the -G magic RA recovery
2) rename it to recoveryG.img
3) run 'fastboot boot recoveryG.img' (with the phone in fastboot mode)
4) allow recovery to boot then run the following adb commands
Code:
adb push recoveryG.img /tmp/recoveryG.img
adb flash_image recovery /tmp/recoveryG.img
5) Now power down the phone
6) boot into recovery by holding home+power
10) flash 1.33.2009 or 1.33.2010
Now you will have fastboot again
Most likely you will want to find and flash via fastboot radio 3.22.20.17 if you are not a Rogers/Fido customer or have signed the e911 wavier, otherwise you want 3.22.26.17..
After flashing the 3.x radio flash RA -h recovery via fastboot (and while in fastboot run 'fastboot erase system -w'); this will let you flash the ebi1 rom of choice
I just downloaded the recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.7.0G.img
renamed it so recoveryG.img.
When i try to run the command: fastboot boot recoveryG.img
I get the error message:
downloading 'boot.img'...FAILED (remote: not allow)
Then its best to just install the official e911 ruu from rogers and re-root
I have tried that, but it doesn't work...

You should not get that error msg...
Try to remake the goldcard.

Ok Guys, I know there are probably millions of threads already started about this, but I really dont know how to put it.
Not long ago I flashed the official 2.2 ROM, and tried to flash DSP manager over it. It didnt work. I couldnt boot into the rom, I had a weird SPL and radio and stock recovery. I made a goldcard, downloaded a SAPPHIMG.nbh file from god knows where, and started again. I have a horrible feeling it might of been the rogers 32A rom.
BUT, I am now stuck on 1.5, Rooted with Super One Click and I cant boot into recovery at all. I cant flash recovery through Clockworkmod, or FlashRec. It flashes it, I just can't boot into the recovery at all! I can't even do it through fastboot, because of my perfected stock SPL. A goldcard doesn't help either, I just keep getting errors. Is it possible to corrupt your recovery partition?

I feel like I'm in a really horrible situation here, but I'm glad its not fully bricked. What Solutions are there to this problem?
Thank you so much guys! I really appreciate your help, in advance
EDIT: I can use fastboot, But I still cant boot recovery, even after flashing it from there. Can I just flash a rom through Fastboot?
Well... you have to flash the right recovery...
Follow my root guide( check my signature).
Just jump the androot part of it (you already have root you say).
Flash both the recovery and eng spl.
Once the recovery and spl is all good (and you have s-off in fastboot) you should flash the right radio. I belive it's 2.22.19.26I.
Then reboot and check your fastboot info.
You should have something like this:
Sapphire pvt 32B eng s-off
Hboot 1.33.2010
CPLD: 10
Radio 2.22.19.26I
Now, flash any 32B rom and you should be good to go!
Good luck.

Well that's because you have a perfected spl...It will not allow you to flash anything from fastboot.
You have to get access to the system again. Just flash a completable RUU for your device.
When you get your system back again, then use my guide to root and get custom recovery(check my signature).

Ok, Tried flashing an RUU, would't let me, because the phone had to be switched on and booted into android to do so. I have tried the goldcard more than 8 times, either to get a "main version is older" or "invalid CID" message. What else can I do? Have I effectively bricked my phone?
NO.. you have not bricked you phone.. when you do brick it, believe me, you will know!
You have a faulty goldcard... redo it... you should not get invalid CID!
Main version older, maybe... but not invalid CID... that's is the point with goldcard... to avoid CID checks :0)
Type this in fastboot:
Code:
fastboot getvar version-main
Post here the outcome!

I must of (finally) got a working goldcard, because I'm no longer getting invalid CID errors.

Well... the problem is that you used a 32A sappimg.zip to update your device with.
The newest RUU for the 32B device is 1.91.177.1....
So you in a not so good a situation. You cannot use the goldcard to update back in main-version (the good old main-version-older error).
I have no idea how you can get your self out of this.. i will wait until a new RUU for the 32B device is available... is should be that long... there is the 2.2 update... no still no RUU!!!
If you have any way to boot into custom recovery or the similar we can fix it... not before.

Fixed! I was on a 32A sappimg.nbh, flashed 2.53.707.2 sappimg.zip which was also 32A, but it booted (!) and from there I was able to flash the original mytouch COC10 cupcake. I ugraded to donut, then flashed the official 2.2 OTA
Thanks for your help
I tried to upgrade my Radio with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9055790&postcount=1
Now (after 6 hours) I'm frustrated and I dont know what to do.
My Phone says:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32B SHIP S-ON G
HBOOT-1.33.0013d (SAPP10000)
CPLD-10
RADIO-2.22.16.19
I can enter fastboot, but I'm not able to boot into the recovery. Also I'm not able to flash a new recovery, radio, hboot, boot, system or userdata.
If i try to flash something:
"INFOsignatur checking... FAILED (remote: signatur verify fail)"
If i try to boot into recovery:
"downloading 'boot.img' ... OKAY [1.703s]
booting...."
but nothing happens.
If i try to flash SAPPIMG.nbh it stucks on flashing radio.
Im really really frustrated and I hope someone can help me.
I've never seen that radio before. What I can tell you is that your going to have to downgrade using the goldcard method. You'll have to borrow a friends Android phone to make the goldcard. I'm sure by the time you get it made someone will be able to give more in depth directions or I'll be back in front of a computer.

I have created a Goldcard, but with a CID from a German forum, because non of my friends have a Android Phone
I tried to orange-1.58.73.2.nbh and sappimg.nbh from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9055790&postcount=1 but nothing works. Both stuck on "INFOstart image[radio] flushing ..."
You can't use the CID from another user. The CID is unique to the SD card, you need the CID for the SD card your using.

I can enter recovery *whuhuu* but still I'm not able to flash a new/other radio. Is there any solution for that?

Try putting the sappimg.nbh on your sdcard and then holding down the volume down + the power button and it should ask you to install and just press the scroll ball and it should fix your problem.
No its Bricked ;-)
But i found someone with an JTAG Interface.
Plz close
i am having similar trouble after:
* Format the Micro SD Card to FAT32.
* Copy the SAPPIMG.nbh file to the Micro SD Card.
* With the phone off, hold volume down and press power to boot into the bootloader.
* Once the bootloader is loaded, press power to install.
* Press the trackball to continue and press talk+menu+power to reboot.
I get:
parsing...[sapping.nbh]
1]radio_v2
2]bootloader
3]splash
4]recovery
5]boot
6]system
7]userdata
Do you want to start update?
yes
no
so i select yes and it says:

I also have a magic (32B) and with the 1.33.0013d SPL I had a similar problem.
You need to read the first message of the 2708+ thread to the end to read how to flash to an old SPL (but you found that already).
I can only guess why you should try a G1 SPL or an 32A SPL on your phone since it seems like a recipe to brick the device. I reverted back to the SPL available from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=529019
Since I had previous experience with the 2005 engineering-version I went for that one.
Did you also try to 2708+ to upgrade to Gingerbread?
All you did was correct but as DonJuan692006 said, you need a goldcard.
If you are running ubuntu you'll find a very simple tutorial (but in french) looking for didier.misson.net and golcard with google.
Good luck.
O-p
I have a similar problem.
I can't start ADB and I have no boot partition. Only FASTBOOT and HBOOT can be started.
Info of my phone (Google Developer Phone):
SAPPHIRE PVT 32B SHIP S-ON G

Not boot partition:

No recovery can be started:
$ fastboot boot recovery-RA-magic-v1.2.3G.img
downloading 'boot.img'... FAILED (remote: not allow)
finished. total time: 0.001s
Then I downloaded the vf-sappimg-crc24-1.33.0007.nbh for the "Magic 32B" and copied it to the sd-card. I renamed it into sappimg.nbh and started HBOOT. But I only get the well know messages:

Has anybody an idea what I can do now?
Thank's a lot!!
Felix
Now I know my fault.
HBOOT ist case sensetive. The correct name for the SAPPING.nbh is "SAPPIMG" with capital letters and ".nbh" with small letters.
I have read through for or so hours of everything I can find. I have a MT3G 3.5mm and thought I was following the proper steps to be able to flash ginger yoshi so I started to update.
I had this:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON G
HBOOT 1.33.0013 (SAPP31000)
CPLD-13
RADIO 2.22.23.024
Now I have:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON G
HBOOT 1.33.0013 (SAPP31000)
CPLD-13
RADIO 6.35.08.29
I have a sappimg.zip that is actually trying to flash except it starts to hang when it updates the radio. It will sit there for forever. I have left it going and the battery will die before it will finish updating the radio. I have been at this for quite a while now and really need help. I know I am supposed to be able to find a matching radio and spl. I tried flashing just the eng spl first, doesn't really do anything it just goes back to hboot. I have tried using fast boot and because it s-on it says no remote. I have tried going into the RUU usb mode and tried booting a recovery but it just sits there. It says it's booting but nothing happens. I did flash a recovery but that was with a 2.22 radio so I am guessing that the new radio that shouldn't be on there is messing it up. What else can i do here? I really need help!

This is what I get when I try the first step. However, my situation is even more screwed. I am stuck at the RUU screen so all i have now is access via usb fastboot and fastboot commander. I can't get access through android commander. I have been trying to flash everything under the sun and when I do flash the proper sappimg.zip it just hangs when updating the radio and it hangs at like 97 percent and will not go any further no matter how long it's there.
To sum up. Followed this tutorial before and that's how I got here in the first place, because I thought I was following the right instructions to be able to get ginger yoshi but it turns out, my phone isn't what I thought it was.
Did you create goldcard properly?
Sent from my A7-040 using Tapatalk
HAAAAAAAA! SCREW ALL THAT .
I have the Mytouch 3G 1.2 (3.5mm Headphone jack) .
it was running android 2.2.1 and i used SuperoneClick root, then downloaded Rom Manager changed my Recovery and flashed ezGingerbread .
SIMPLE!
That's great and all but I would like help. I do not care about how awesome you are. I was unable to do superoneclick for some reason when I downgraded to 1.6. Nothing would work right. Rom manager would force close, universal androot would say that the phone was rooted and superoneclick would say that it wasn't.
Stuck in Ruu can't flash anything. Gets stuck on radio flash. Help. Accidentally flashed 32b board and chip files.
I did create a goldcard properly because i've used it over and over again without fail. It just hangs when flashing and doesn't finish flashing the radio.

Did you ever read tutorial?
The steps to follow:
1) Read and understand the above.
2) Rename special_sappimg.zip to sappimg.zip
3) Make sure that you have a working goldcard and flash the sappimg.zip
The device should reboot by it's self. If you get any error saying model id is no correct, you have a faulty goldcard. Also, please verify that the spl has changed to 1.76.xxxx. (flash by holding volume decrease (-) together with power and wait for the hboot to automatically pick up the file)
4) Once the device has rebooted, you should rename the 2.53.707.2_-_sappimg.zip to sappimg.zip and flash it using the goldcard. This image should give you an eng spl. If you device will not accept it/or you wish to have stock image, then rename the stock sappimg(2.10.531.4) to sappimg.zip and flash it the same way as the special sappimg.
5) If you indeed get the eng spl, then you have full control and we can do almost anything we want. Just post here and we can take it from there. The eng spl has the following nr: 1.33.2010.
If you flashed the stock sappimg, then you only need to root and flash custom recovery and you should almost be there... also here post the progress and we will take it from there.
After item 2 you must flash in hboot-mode (Turn off, then turn on by pressing VolumeDown + Power)
Please read always carefully, try to understand process and don't rush...
I cannot follow those steps to the T. I am stuck in RUU mode on my phone. So I cannot get back to the Hboot. I have been trying to flash everything with fastboot commander. I have a working gold card, just can't get back to where i can access it via phone. When I did have it working though, it was giving the same problem. It would just hang when trying to update the radio.
I have read and understood this particular tutorial. Infact it was the first I found after this particular problem started to occur. However, when I renamed and tried the files it would give the same error with the gold card. I have even, formatted and redone the gold card, which has always worked. Now I am stuck in Ruu and I do not think i can get access back to the bootloader.
Turn phone off (Remove battery, wait 2-3 minutes, place it back)
Turn on by pressing and holding Volumedown + power
What happening in this moment?

It goes straight to Ruu mode, no matter what i press or what buttons I hold down or no matter how long I leave the battery out.

Try to run (it should escape from ruu-mode)
Code:
fastboot oem boot
Then turn off (cause phone is bootlooping) and load into hboot-mode
i got a bunch of text in the command prompt when I tried to run it that made it look like it was going to do it, then it just hung and did nothing.
Still in Ruu mode.
Once you are stock in ruu mode, you kinda fu*ked.
You need hboot and goldcard to fix the problem.
There is a command called: fastboot oem resetRUUflag
Try it out, but most likely it is not permitted...

hmm if by now you havnt been able to access your phone, then maby perhaps you can do so by the commmand "" fastboot oem boot""
i have the same problem with this. STUCK IN RUU MODE!!!!
BUT I can open my phone via "fastboot oem boot". The only problem is whenever my phone has been turned off, it STUCKED in RUU MODE, so I need to go through "fastboot oem boot" again just to open my phone.
