Quick question:
I found the following "how to" instructions on the "jacye Ooi's" web site (can't post link as I'm a new member) for installing Android 2.2 on my HTC HD2 phone this is using Tmobile. I'm new to this and wanted to make sure these are the correct instructions as I don't want to mess up my phone.
Basically it's this:
1.flash HardSPL3 on HTC HD2 (Dark Forces)
2.Download HTC HD2 Radio ROM
3.mattc Leo + Froyo w/Sense 1.7 build
Will this work on my Tmobile HTC HD2? Or is there something else I should use?
Thank you..

It all comes down to personal preference. Sense v Vanilla - that's the main question. Then it breaks down from there. Read the first couple posts on each build. It will tell you what's working / buggy / etc.
Personal setup from me:
1) Chucky Droid Rom + 2.10.50.26 radio + Bangsters v1.5 (preferred)
2) Same radio / rom setup with MdeeJay Sense Revolution v1.6 (2nd place)
Its all about what you like and what works for you. Try them out, try some more, pick what you like.

You can install over the stock ROM but I would suggest a new radio: 2.12.50 works well for many.**You have to hspl3 before flashing the new radio.
Check out the stickied threads on the first page. They will guide you through most of the questions that you have.

nneeed help finding a rom for the htc hd2 us that is compatible with android ..the once i use the network does not work on the android side give me not network proble onth the text n calls work helpp
im in california using htc hd2 t mobile if that helps
Was a good rom and the right android built that u have use that works great and its compatible and mayb what radio
a link will help thanks
I use Kumars v 2.6 premium and I have tried it with almost all the android roms out there and I have not had any issues. You have to read the Android ROM instructions and you should be okay. Some android roms do not come with the Tmobile US APN already setup so you would have to set it up in those instances. It is very simple to do, just read the instructions.

Best WM Rom I have found for Android.
New stock rom should be fine
I just updated my HD2 with the newer update and it works great with Android. i am using Mdeejay's Evo build and its working perfectly used daily hope this helps
new update called
RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_3.14.531.0_Radio_15.42.50.09U_2. 14.50.04_LEO_1.5_Ship
i use Kumar's V 2.8. i tink its the best rom for tmoUS.. and its compatible for all android builds that has come out..
Device: TMOUS HD2
ROM : Kumar's TMOUS HD2 Premium v2.8
Android : Mdeejay_eVo_Sense_v._1.5_REVOlution

hi guys,
sorry if this is a stupid question, only just found this forum today.
I've seen the HTC desire HD running the new android 2.2 and it looks pretty cool. I've also seen this running on the HTC HD2 on you tube.
My question - who is running android 2.2 on their HD2? Is it stable and worth running? where can I find out how to do this (i.e. like a guide for dummies like me!)
cheers

yes goto the android on HD2 section of this forum. it explains it all. you will need to flash a custom rom and depending on the android build a particular radio.
im running the Froyostone V3.1 on a cooked rom. its built from the android HTC Desire build and it works fine for me.
OK proceed with caution!!!
Do not brick your device, do alot of reading first before entering or doing anything to your phone. The first step you will have to do is Hard SPL your device and then for Android to run, you will need to change your Radio, for android to run, you do not need to install a custom rom like many believe.

Ive been waiting on a sense rom for a while now but to be honest i don't think there for everyday use at the moment... what id suggest ye do is what i done, get Typhoon rom (Located in my signature) and get the CM7 sense theme (also located in my signature) which has the same layout, keyboard, settings etc
you wont be disappointed in the performance of Typhoon as its really stable and fast if you do a fresh install, starting with task29.
also id follow up on the Save battery thread (located in sig) and follow threw them steps,
Gingerbread sense is buggy at the moment (Camera/GFX glitches) as we are waiting for the new Desire Gingerbread kernel to be release (I think).
What is it you want Android 2.3 for?, or is it simply because its latest version for phone and you like sense?

Just spending five minutes in reading a bit doesn't hurt you know, but we'll help you:
1- SD Android doesn't overwrite windows, you're actually using SD like a phone memory. when you reset you'll be back to WinMo and will have to run Android again.
2- What's working and not working is always mentioned in the original (first) post of every build. From my brief experience with American Android, Wifi, Camera, and GPS are working, you have to try the other features and let the developer know if something isn't working well for you. make sure to post your whole info: HD2 TMo or EU, Radio, What WinMo you're using (not very helpful but wouldn't hurt writing it anyway), and what Android version have you downloaded.
3- As long as the radio is 2.XX.50.XX you're fine.
check your SPL version though, I've never tried Android with SPL 3.X some say it doesn't work.
4- You can dual boot (or triple or even quadruple boot) Android with windows as long as your multiple android builds support having more than one beside them (and a bit of your luck as well) the program is just a shortcut for you not to use FExplorer to run Android :/ so the answer would be yes.
when you run android and have some problems, you can use search because there are many threads to solve almost every problem you'll have with android, one of them being mine (in my signature).
