I have a JVC navigation system in my Charger and for the life of me I can not get my radio to read the mp3s on my phone. Use to work perfect on my G1, but no luck on the vibrant. Anybody know any tips to get it to mount or had any success?

Do you have the usb settings on media player? I think it's set to mass storage by default.

Have the same problem on my Infiniti. Talked to dealer they told me to bring it in and they would show me how to get it to work. Evidently, there are more than one setting within the computer on the Car side. So, maybe talk to the dealer about this.
Your radio only recoginezes either the phone or the sd card if your music is on one, move it to the other

Hey guys, can't find the answer anywhere but, whenever I connect to a cell network 3g/4g or lose the connection whatever I am doing on the phone sound wise is interrupted by an alert. Any idea how to turn this off?

I agree on this one. I tried browsing system files in hopes of locating and replacing the file but didn't have any luck. Pretty embarrassing when I'm at work and my pocket starts twinkling repeatedly as my phone tries reconnecting to network.
Well back to Verizon and the fascinate on Thursday. Don't have 4g in MN yet anyhow

I was wondering if there is a way to add a charge only option to the menu when plugging my fascinate into a usb charger. Does anyone know if that's possible? Or if its already been done? It's the biggest annoyance for me with my phone. I love it otherwise. Thanks!

Go into settings-usb setting- charge only. My fascinate is currently de actiavated in a desk drawer in a different state. Cant remember if thats exactly how u get to it but should be close.(unless of coarse im thinking of a different phone lol)

Well, what happens is, day I'm listening to music on my phone, and I plug it in to the usb, or ausb style car charger, it automatically kills my sounds and mounts the sd card. Then I can't resume my sounds until I unplug the phone. I'm looking for a way around that.

Hi I just got this phone last week and just can't seam to open mass storage. That option just does not appear when I plug in the usb cable on my laptop. I have usb debugged mode turned off and even updated to 2.2 .....I too would like to enjoy to import files straight thru my phone u.U

There is no fix for this, it works when it wants to on win 7 64bit. I can't get mine to work until I try every usb port on a small hub I got. I've tried offical drivers, unoffical, viper team drivers it just sucks. Only time I've had it work at go was when I braught odin and the one click to the campus and did it on a vista machine. All I can say is, reinstall the driver buy a small usb hub and plug and pray

Just spoke wit a rep they said I have to go into a store. Seams to be a hardware issue. Hopefully they give me a new one since the replacement they gave me was refurbished.

I believe it works with some Android's this way BUT will not work with Nexus phones due to MTP.

As far as I am aware, the N4 will NOT mount on any PC (or car stereo) in as a standard drive anymore.
So unless you have a car stereo that supports MTP, it won't work. You cannot resurrect normal file-system mounting. Well, you can by making you phone a SMB share, but I believe that only works over WiFi.
Does the S4 display song info when streaming to car stereos and such? mp3s and Pandora? Is this an Android limitation if not?
It did for me with pandora,stock,play music.....it was one of those three. I dont remember.

It didn't work with my Note 2, but I was streaming some from Play Music and the artist/title came through. Pretty exciting since my wife would always brag about her iPhone doing it.

Yes it does in google play music just fine.
Not in my impreza... the bluetooth on this phone has been flaky for me though...maybe I have a bad antenna or something

Subaru is a pita with Bluetooth pairing. Try deleting your old sync over voice and then add it back over voice only. Doing it through the head unit control it gets messed.

Actually, that helped. It still doesn't connect automatically (Not sure why...) but it now reliably connects every time i force it to, which is better then before. I'm hoping that someday an aosp bluetooth stack will show up and solve all my problems, but i'm not really holding my breath.
