Wanna know the most stable version with the appropriate Radio versions.
With my view, I found 2.07.50 is the best to run Android better with high data rates.
wft , all this threads in the development section and about 10% only related to the section , please post in android general forum

With a post like that ^ perhaps it is you who has the baby's brain not the OP.
Sound familiar hoss?
With double standards like that you should join the police force
To the OP...This should be posted in HD2 android general but for what its worth, I have found Mattc's build to all be very stable indeed.
I am now using the hyperdroid v1 and its superb but I do get the odd FC on acore.process every now and then.... not as stable as mattc for me.
Every build I have tested has been with the radio nd WM rom in my sig.

I understand answering the question...but should it be?? I dont think so. Advise the OP to post in the correct section, then answer all day long. Answering in this section of the forums is saying dont ask here but we will answer anyways. Shouldnt be an answer in the wrong section I think..
Its hard because of course people want to help others with something they have learned, but in the wrong section only promotes further questions.
mods must controle all this the , wrong threads are incresing faster than development , i really can't find what i wand in development forum with all this useless threads

they try believe me they do but it i s so many new people just joining for androind on hd2 in a couple of weeks they will all disappear
best working for me is:
[BUILD][2.9.2010] [HtcClay's SuperHD2 V1.1]_[Kernel jongkorendijk #106]
See my sig. the magic combo.
Try it, you´ll be suprised
i dont really think this can be answered properly as there are people having great success with such and such a build yet others have nothing but trouble with things.
as with windows mobile, its best just trying different builds and see which one works for you.
I use shrubcraft 1.5 which for me is for the most part stable. there are some annoying bugs, but im so fed up having to sift through tons of irrelevant posts to find usefull info im not changing it.
bugs i have are, PPP becomes buggy when on the move, usually when signal is lost or it has to reconnect like if yoiu go from hsdpa to 3g. it might just not be able to connect which airplane mode fixes (doesnt happen all the time, though i noticed there are a few spots on my bus route home that it does happen)
ive had a fe instances where coming out of stand bye has been problematic, the backline comes on but no screen (not a SOD as it will come back, just wake it up again)
I did have my screen go whitish today which has happened before. not complelty white, can still see everything, but the colour was gone, and it was all shades of white.
USB tether in some builds either doesnt work, or isnt reliable, same with wifi/
To sum up, i dont think there is a build that doesnt have something wrong with it. but there are atleast a few that are complelty usuable on a regular basis.

What part you did not understand of this help? Instead of giving you answer my friend I just told you how to search forums - since you said above you are beginner maybe you should start learning to read what is written...
Builds posted so far are very different on what people prefer the best - that's why what works for me it may not work for you... simple...
And to start "helping" you - I use as you can see in my signature FroyoStone Series V1 and I have been pleased since I installed AutoKiller because it really makes Android use my battery lot more sufficiently - overall less drain
Your absolutely correct, Earlier I did all my search on this, And I used all the builds released till now right from July 28th froyostone's build. But may be my Radio fault or my mobile fault, No version is stable on my phone. Even for a single day constantly.
I prefer for internet usage.
The RMNet version is too slow for internet but it can helpful, and the PPP version on any build is faster but not stable.
Thats why I am asking you guys opinion.
Sorry I am irritating you people

You are not irritating me - it would be nice if you wrote little bit more detailed question stating all this. I have seen threads where people do recommend flashing radio into 2.10.xxxx since it works nice with some builds - however, I recommend that you search and get real detailed info on that matter - as I am not sure what build they referred to.
what radio rom you got?
PS Int he meantime read this as it may answer your question:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=732380
I have used all the radio versions from 2.07.50 to 2.12.50.02
BUt I found some thing new in search, 2.12.50.20.
Is this really exist?

Mattc 1.7 ppp version is the best till now. Because I am getting 25-30 kbps speed on my edge network. No other version is not even nearer for that.
But only with the radio version 2.07.50
So I've had my vibrant for awhile, and then I got an hd2 again, just to test it out with android, and browsed around the forums ect ect (same thing I would do for my vibrant) and iv'e notice (coming back from the hd2) mostly everyone here is extremely mean, or in a bad mood, thats not welcoming at all, I went to the Nero v5 forum to read up on stuff, and there were people calling each other Bit-hes, and saying there idiots, and arguing over nothing.. People over in the hd2 thread didn't seem to do this, not from what Iv'e read, and you can't say you get mad at reading the same question over and over, people in the hd2 thread simply skip them from what iv'e seen. I'm no panzi or anything, I'm just curios to know why you people are so grumpy, it's just a phone, (a phone that can do AMAZING things) but at the end of the day, it's just you behind a monitor looking stupid by arguing with someone who simply asked a question..
Don't argue with me or anything, I'm just wondering, and if you really have something rude to say, PM me, that's where I finish things
This section of the forum is dead. The only topics that usually reach more then 10 replies are usually repeat topics that start off decent but ends horribly. Its not really the user fault but a combination of samsung, our devs resources, frustratation.
The bad vibe you get is from boredom, vs going to hd2 section where development is extremely active. We don't have much to talk about besides conspiracy, scandal, and what most people think is just bad business. I personally will use custom roms at the end of the day, but devs don't have resources. Users in hd2 section are finally able to get rid of windows mobile. They should be happy.
I think samsung is leaving a bad taste in people mouth with there recent actions.

What he said. We're really p.o.'ed around here feeling like the man is screwin us and not giving a reach around. Since Sammy wouldn't dare show heir collective corporate faces around here all we're left to do is bi**h at each other sometimes for no apparent reason. At least in this we know someone is listening.
Or I could be wrong and there are just a bunch of Vibrant owners that are real jack off's.

Seems that both are true. But, regardless of Samsung, I 've noticed the exact same thing, t omost the people here there is nothing but them. If you voice any differences then, go F-urself........ to me it reminds me of high school rivalries. Some ways funny, but mostly immature and annoying. I have a HD2 and the OP is right, the people are just nicer in that forum.
lmao, you think the phone determines who the person is? You think only Vibrant users can have a bad attitude? I think this section of the forum is just fine. And a thread like this will only add fuel to the fire. Especially that last sentence. Lets try not starting more problems by creating a thread to target problems.

This guys voicing an opinion, and people CAN disagree, but shouldn't just argue.
Its true, people get pissed off by little things here, and even on other forums this happens.
Its just how people talk, if someone has a different view or if their wrong, some guy will come along and call him a idiot, retard...
And that's where the fight has started.

I thought the Vibrant side of the house was bad. That was until I went to the mytouch3g side to play with my wife's old phone that was still sportin donut.
But as already mentioned, I think their hostility comes from boredom. Boredom that should be gone soon, seeing as how they finally started the 2.2.1 OTA for the mytouch 3g this week.

The hd2 forum maybe calm now but it wasnt before. People asking the same questions over and over there. Many mods had to come in and clean house on de-railed threads. On top of that they get so many noobs who want to install android and dont have the first clue.
Then you had the winmo vs android threads. That would incite fighting through out the hd2 forums.
I myself almost refused to read the Q&A section because of so many repeat topics.
I actually sorta feel it is calm here. There is the slight fighting amongst members but thats to be found anywhere.

Exactly those first 6-8 months was nothing pretty. The partial reason of it being calm, they have like 20 subforums.
Guess what. After trying about 10 custom roms (2.2 and 2.3) the past several months and experiencing various issues with each one of them, I tried stock rooted 2.2 and removed some annoying apps, and it is great. Everything works (4g, 3g...) Gmail works as promised (no mails stuck in outbox like I get with the most recent Fresh) signal is strong, the camera focuses properly, and the battery actually lasts LONGER than it does with CM7, SavageMod, Sprint Lovers, etc. I know the customs are all tweaked up, but the stock rooted is 0% slower in terms of everyday use. (I do not use test bench scores because they have little bearing on what the phone actually feels like to use.)
Stock is better in many ways than any of the customs I have tried. No joke.(Once some of the Sprint junk has been removed of course.)
Try it for yourself.
Just sayin'.

I personally am not a fan of Sense anymore after Salvage. It's basically pure Gingerbread 2.3 with no extra added junk EXCEPT 4G WiMax. Runs smooth as butter, and couldn't ask for anything else. Bugless too, not counting HDMI which no one uses...
Have you tried Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo? In my experience it is the most stable Sense rom, while also being extremely fast and great on battery life. I get anywhere from 30-16 hours depending on how much I use it and what I'm doing/how my reception is. Lots of eye candy too. Not sure what errors you have been encountering..but everything works as it should with Myn's. Have you tried custom kernels? Netarchy's kernel has given me the best battery life and performance, I have been using setcpu with the smartass governor. On a side note I have been using Salvage Mod since wimax was added and it's freaking awesome!

113 posts, a member here for a year, and you post this non-sense in the development section.
That alone tells me you have no idea what you are doing so why the heck would I take advice from you.
Stock evo really isn't all that bad. I would get a better optimized kernel instead of the stock kernel, but that's about it. I run EchoHD on mine for now, since I haven't had any issues with it with Revol, but I mess around with gingerbread and CM7 with it from time to time. CM7 I easily have nice battery life in, but I can't use it with my network sadly. =\
I was in the same situation ..... I think the problem is when You flash a new ROM you should give it some time to settle down. I use to install all the available MODS and themes plus 50 different apps right away ending up messing the whole system. Now I don't flash new fonts, tweaks, mods right away with a fresh ROM but then again it's just me, a novice user with very limited knowledge. I have been using FROST ROM for a month and it has been very stable ... although there are few new awesome looking ROMS just came out ( King's Ultra R2, Warm Z, Salvage MOD 1.0 etc ...) that are very tempting. I am to the verge of flashing a new one, it's just hard to pick one. After seeing all these insane ROMS who would go back to stock ... ! NOT ME.

My experience with Myns was ok - used it for about a month. But it had battery issues, and more importantly it would randomly lose 3g connectivity for maybe 30-60 seconds at a time. Same problem with Fresh. This is terribly annoying if you are browsing web pages. You end up clicking on a link 20 times trying to get it to load properly.
I was most recently using CM7 and it works well except the battery drain is just silly. And I know I am not the only one with battery drain on CM7.
The thing is, it seems there are always drawbacks with the customs. Some of the drawbacks are deal breakers like losing 3g, or botching the gmail app.
So while the developers are doing some awesome work (much appreciated!) when I step back a few paces, I realize that I have not gained much in real world usability, and I have often sacrificed stability or functionality for some minor gains which are often not noticeable without the use if benchmark tests.
I tend to agree with OP
I too have flashed many ROMS, and have also found best overall performance with a basically stock ROM. I say "basically stock," because I run RicSims 3.70 Turbo, which is supposedly mostly stock but with minor performance tweaks.
I run the stock HTC #15 Kernel included in ROM and, along with Seido 3500 Ext Batt, experience phenomenal battery life (see some of my other posts for results/screenshots).
I just recently tried a CM7 2.3 GB ROM w/ working WIMAX, and while everything worked perfectly (along with awesome Linpack and Quadrant scores), the battery life just wasn't there, so I went back to trusty Ricsims ROM (although I still have CM7 w/ WIMAX backed up via Nandroid, and can switch back and forth within 15 or 20 minutes, should I get the itch).

Since you posted this in the wrong section, I would make one suggestion to you. Just stop replying to this thread until it gets moved and let it die, or you are going to continue to get flamed. I have already tagged it to be moved to the correct section, and I am sure others have as well. Just please try to pay a little more attention next time before you post. I could flame you but I am not going to. Usually its understandable but NOT okay to post questions in the dev forums, but your original post is going to get ya alot of negativity, I am not really sure what the point of it was?

Honestly, "Mr. Yellow" has done what everyone else in this thread should have done, by kindly pointing out that the thread is okay, its great to share his experience, but he posted it in the wrong forum. So "Mr. Yellow" shouldn't be flamed. And if you flame the OP, you're honestly just as bad as to committing to this thread with nonsense.
Great statement OP regarding your set up, just please, next time, post threads of this manner in the general/q&a, as the development section is for developing roms, kernels and things of the such.
There has been talk of general about not allowing the creation of a thread in development if the person has less than 20 posts.
I believe this topic is proof that that will not work. I see what Mr. Yellow is saying. He makes a point. This should not have gone here. The OP mentioned no question was asked. But there was also no development. That's what General is for.
These topics piss people like me and Mr. Yellow off. This section gets cluttered with all this and it doesn't stop. It's getting old.
Hey guys and gals,
Just wanted to know if you have Dev rom issues with them working for a while then all of a sudden it either FC on you with super user or installing apps. I have to this point, had a lot of problems with the roms at times. Even when i change the write permissions I've had issues through CWM. I support all the Devs here to making and updating ROMS for the best phone that Tmo has at this point.
Another question is what is the LONGEST rom you have used and had it work for longer than 3+ months? Not only a stable release but a great kernal for batt life and efficient app/program running you have come across? This thread is in no way to put Devs against each other but more to learn on the strengths/weaknesses the MT4G (Glacier) has and how to deal with such issues.
Personally, I feel that all the devs can make a "same export file" for the contacts list instead of gumming up your sd card full of contact info with multiple vcf files of the sort.
One more issue i have is the Super user not being able to update in accordance with the other files on the rom/Device itself, and yet running smoothly without it FC on the rom i'm currently running, which at this time is "Beat Sense".
Do any of you have the same issues as I do or is it just me? Please let me know what you think of this thread and post your finds and issues, both positive and negative. Thanks.

I've been modding since the G1 and one thing I've learned is to leave well enough alone. The ROM I'm using has been smooth for me for months, so much so that I don't bother to update it when new versions come out. A lot of times new versions post speed improvements or new features but if its not an entirely new ROM or something huge, I stick with what I've got. I dont mean to imply that the dev's put out bad builds but stuff happens. Could be my fault, could be a bad flash. There have been lots of times where ROMs work perfectly for me but others are having all sorts of problems.
What I'm saying is, find something that works for you and stick with it as long as you can.
Thread moved to Q&A.......
Hi,
Just want to say that im likely coming from HD2 section soon as im getting a GS2.
I'm just a bit gutted as this section doest seem as organized as HD2 section, ie there doesn't seem to be a dating convention (or at least non enforced) so topics seem random.
What I like about HD2 section is that for the most part most devs/cooks etc release to same standard naming rules, ie [date].[ROM/KERNEL].[Rom Title/Version.[Etc].
These standards make things much more orgnized overall and looking at this section sort of brings me back to when I was using the HTC Universal forum
I'm sure I will eventually find my way and learn to get used to going back to less standards, mostly because im sooo looking forward to getting the GS2 so everything else is second
Waaa? Trying checking again, it got everything you stated. =.=
Unless I'm illiterate...

That's a shame.
Cant see why it was voted against tbh.
2 good things about the HD2 forum is 1) Its huge amount of dedicated developer following and 2) Its organization. Even though I visit the forum daily so know which topics are new/updated its nice to see a standard topic title naming convention with date/type/title, That way you can see clearly from browse page which are updated topics with regards to builds instead of dates/titles been in random sequence.
Either way I'll have to learn to adapt back to this random naming as GS2 will be my daily device soon. However I wont miss my HD2 simply because it wont be going anywhere, I will still be using it to try new roms and also as a great backup.
I also came from the HD2 section and finding the GS2 section a bit of a maze, but all is well ) I'm hoping this GS2 will give me as much play as my HD2's did.. still have them, one cracked screen and one that the digitizer is going out on, the screen will stop responding until I press the End button twice.

Well im gunna be honest here, I actually have a iPhone 4S aswell atm but I just cant get used to such a mall screen and although the OS is quite good (as far as stability, ease of use) I just cant get used to having my fecking hand held every step of way and also the feeling of having them tied behind my back at most points. I bought it because I was given it at such a great price that I would have no problem getting rid once I was bored (approx 3 weeks) and then getting my only viable HD2 replacement (hardware wise compared to price). Before the GS2 I just didnt really see any reason to get new device since HD2 had basically (or in allot of cases better) hardware then new native Android devices.
Just made my mind up now and getting rid of the iPhone, keeping my HD2 and having GS2 as main device.
PS. Just want to add, I'm also a Galaxy Tab 7 user and that forum also (for the most part) keeps to a standard way of titling topics so its going to be hard to getting used to the dev sections here.

Unfortunately many posters will not follow the rules and post questions in the wrong section .
We also have a greater share of idiotic repeat posts fails to use search posters .
Roms are labelled but they are often updated frequently within that thread and even have kernel changes .
Not saying i disagree with your viewpoint but suggest you contact the mods re your suggestion .
Noobs do find it hard to navigate .

Almost all of our threads have a [ROM] or [KERNEL] or [KITCHEN] or [GUIDE] tag.
The initial perusal might be somewhat daunting. Once you understand Samsung's ROM releasing conventions, you'll understand why we don't insist on having each thread tagged with a date. I'd recommend reading the first 3 posts of Intratech's thread to give you a start. The series of numbers/letters found in the title of most [ROM] threads is essentially our dating convention (ie XWKK5).
Then maybe sort the forum by the "Stats" column to see what's popular and go from there.

That was a joke, we have a sense of humor here in the gs2 section
crachel summed it up pretty nicely.

Hey GRiM-UK, if you're coming from the HD2 and have used Hyperdroid, we've got pongster and doctorcete working their magic here yet again. It evolved into something different considering ROMs here are mostly based on stock (Some AOSP, MIUI and CM also) because of proprietary drivers which source isn't always available for sadly...
It does take some getting used to, as I do agree the HD2 forums were easier to understand (And less noobish to me), but you know... Sometimes you have to move on. haha. I mostly read the general page and the original android page, but the decent information a tad all over the place... So good luck!

I think you misunderstand, Im very familiar with what a Rom and Kernel is and their tags etc and am not a n00b who gets confused.
I'm simply saying that it really benefits the forum when each release has a date tag at beginning of topic title instead of in random position or not at all. It means that all dates are in same line and each release is easily distinguishable by build date an you can check for updates at a glance and not rely on remembering all the version numbers.
Its a really small thing that makes a huge difference, Ill probably end up getting used to not having them but atm its really hard adjusting. The HD2 section is just far superior in organization imho.
For example checkout the HD2 NAND section compare to the Dev sectiosn here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=928
Please don't think I'm complaining or don't appreciate the work in this section, I'm just a bit disappointed that XDA or section mods hasn't tried to bring the convention to other forums, Guess I just assumed others were same by now.
I guess this will all change when XDA finally starts its release database.
welcome to the SGS2 section my friend!
Its quite different over here as one of the rules of being in the SGS2 section is we must deal with grumpy and abusive coders, who are to busy yelling and abusing than to actually get on working with the code!
You'll soon meet codeworkx soon enough....you lucky devil you....
