So I jumped on the bandwagon - Nexus One General

So I decided to jump on the bandwagon and get an N1. This will be my first smartphone purchase and am pretty excited. Can't wait for monday when it arrives!

Another thing... the guy I bought it from installed the Cyanogen Mod 6.0... can anyone tell me what the major benefits are? Do you think I should reinstall the original firmware so I can get used to the "stock" OS before moving on to the more advanced OS?

it's a great rom. you should try it first before reverting to stock.

is it possible to revert back to the original rom? i presume there's some download site somewhere.

Another N1 newbie here, get mine on tuesday, got it for a great price, so I have "downgraded" from the Samsung Galaxy S, but to be honest, I'm expecting more speed, a better camera, and more stability, but unfortunately a worse screen. Oh well, cant have everything i suppose. Stability and performance are more important to me than that at the moment.

My Vibrant is everybit as reliable as my N1, sorry your experience was different.

So another question. Will AT&T recognize this phone... ie: will I need to buy the smartphone data plan? My friend has an unlocked Nokia E71 and since AT&T doesn't recognize it as a smartphone, he can buy the unlimited data plan for a feature phone... anyone use the N1 on AT&T that has any info?

Yes, quite. I'm disappointed - I would have kept it if it had worked OK.
Main problems for me are useless GPS, and random freezing and shutting down... all of these problems have happened whichever firmware or ROM I use. I got lag, but thats sorted now with the latest lag fix.
Such a shame. The screen is wonderful. But its the only thing about it i'll miss TBH.

Could care less about the clearpad since I play my emulators with a bluetooth wiimote anyways.

If you're asking will AT&T recognize it as a smartphone and "upgrade" your data? Yes they will.

more questions.. lol. is it possible to load apps on an SD card? 512 internal memory seems kinda low.

Yes it is. Android 2.2 has it's own method or you can opt for the SU apps2ext method.

I have a class 4 4gig micro sd card. hope that's enough! i can't wait for this phone to arrive.

Congratz! You picked one of the best smartphone around! Enjoy it

I still have the G1 customer loyalty plan.
I bought a MyTouch Slide off contract and didnt like it, and took it back.
Meanwhile my mother wanted my G1 so I went on Craigslist and bought a MyTouch for cheap.
I soon tired of waiting for Froyo for the device and went back on the list and picked up a Nexus.
This phone is awesome.
Now here I am in here to see if I can learn something about Android.
And maybe if I can get my courage up root and mod it.

Say what? No root yet. That's crazy. N1 is all about modification. Yeah it gets annoying waiting for a new firmware update. Ask all galaxy s owners. They all brag about how their benchmark scores are higher then the n1. Who they kidding. That's why I got rid of the captivate. Just tried it out for couple of weeks but came back to the n1.

it isnt fixing the issue from what I read. AT&T also never mentions a GPS fix.
The more and more time that goes by, the more and more I want a G2 when it comes out honestly. Sumsung really dropped the ball here and its going to leave a bad taste in a lot of people's minds for a long time...

You know what, I think Samsung is 50 percent to Blame. The other 50 percent is T-Mobile. T-MOBILE...simply does not support their phones.
Buying the G2 will be the same damn story. Sure it will come with 2.2, but as soon as 3.0 comes along, every other carrier will have it months before T-Mobile releases it on the G2, and you will cry and complain "the more and more I want Verizon."
I honestly think the problem is T-Mobile, and not so much the handset manufacturers.
tmobile is throwing Samsung under the bus, I got this back from a message I sent to Tmobiles facebook a bit ago..
Robert,
We understand your interest on updates Samsung is working on one and as soon as we have any more information on this we will communicate it.
.. notice they say that Samsung is working on one, I did ask about 2.2 though and not the gps fix.

Honestly, my biggest regret was leaving at&t. I left because I wasn't interested in an iphone, I noticed no good new WM apps were coming along, and I wanted a 3.5 mm headphone jack on my phone. The nexus filled all those needs so when it was released I jumped ship to t-mobile. I found out the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
I still have no idea why people say T-Mobiles customer support is better than AT&T; from everything I've seen it isn't even close.
Someone else posted on here before about T-Mobiles BB getting upgraded to V.5 not too long ago.. they have 6 out or it's close to release. T-Mobile does lack in this "Software/Firmware" Update department. They have some decent phones but don't support them enough.
It's amazing, when the G1 came out, yes it was the first Android phone but updates rolled out pretty quick. I know it was stock "Vanilla" Android but updates were addressed in a timely manor. But now they have the My Touch, My Touch Slide and Cliq series and now the Galaxy S phone.
Wow everyone is a bunch of goddamn vultures here. Waaah I've had my phone a month and a half Samsung and T-Mobile suck I want my updates waaah. People need to realize that updates need to go through a lot of steps. If you don't like your phone return it and get a different one.

So what its perfectly ok for other Galaxy S phones that haven't been out as long as the Vibrant to be getting their updates, but not us? Honestly, I really think it has to do a lot with TMO and not Sammy. Luckily, I've rooted and running a custom ROM and Voodoo fix. I also know that doing that is not for everyone though.
The Captivate came out what like 3 days after the Vibrant? Maybe tmo and Samsung are waiting to see how the update goes on the Captivate. It wont matter anyways we could get it tomorrow and people will still complain that it's not 2.2 or their phone is still not fast enough or some other bullcrap.

Your joking right? First almost 2 1/2 months. Second the others all got a update as mentioned.
All other phones with 1ghz are running froyo, even a hd2 without android has it.lom
I vote we get /b/ to start ****. Maybe then we might get some movement from T-Mo and Samsung... just me? >.>
not that it will do anything to Tmobile but I've decided that whoever gets 2.2 on the Galaxy S device first is who I will be switching to. If its Tmobile then I won't be going anywhere, but if another carrier can get it out before Tmobile see ya.
Tmobile launched this device First int he US there is no reason they should not be the first to release the OS update even if it takes them till November
I do agree that they need to support their phones better. But at least TMO isn't forcing bing down our throats either.
I come from the Blackberry side of the fence and I remember when 5.0 devices were new last year it took forever for TMO to release an update for the 9700, and that original release was filled with bugs. I finally gave up on waiting for them and simply downloaded another carrier's release. Easy to do on that platform.
I like the Vibrant for the most part. Yes it has bugs; yes it's quality needs to be improved. Yes the GPS kind of sucks. But what other high-end phone out there doesn't have issues these days? I'm sure the G2 will have them as well.

One of the biggest deals they found in that review is the speed.
The Atrix is not running any where near 4g more like crappy 3g at best.
What is the use of the phone with all that power if its network connection is crap?

AT&T hasn't finished the enhanced backhaul to most of the network and it won't be ready to go till the end of March at the earliest. Seems like something Engadget should have mentioned.
It's a pretty solid review, I think, but now I'm wondering about bloatware. CNET's review said this:
Of course, you've also got your obligatory AT&T services--AT&T Navigator, AT&T FamilyMap, and AT&T U-Verse Live TV--on there, but for once, you can actually uninstall any of these apps if you wish.

but Engadget disagrees:
We're a little disappointed by the fact that Motorola and AT&T are loading up the Atrix with a considerable amount of bloatware, and there's nothing you can really do about it. Vlingo, a handful of AT&T apps, Blockbuster, and a smattering of other programs all ship on the handset with no option to delete them.

Which is it? Rooting will take care of bloat, but it would be nice if we could get rid of it before rooting is available.

Huh.
again, AT&T hasn't finished the backhaul necessary. Also, I always get lower speed tests with the Speedtest.net app than I do with XtremeLabs app. When I get my phone, I'll test the speeds, should be about 2200-3500 in Stl. if it's like the N1. That's WITHOUT the '4G'
They tested it against the iphone and the iphone beat it hands down.
"
The odd thing is that if you compare the device against the iPhone 4 on AT&T's network -- tested in exactly the same locations -- you see much different results. On the iPhone, data speeds were consistently in the 2 or 3 Mbps range for downloads, and hovering around 1 Mbps for uploads."
That is a bowl of suck right there.

On the droid x I have I could only uninstall updates, not delete it (without root). Motorola has a deal with Blockbuster, so they put it on all their phones.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if z4root worked right out of the box. It's already designed to work on Motorola phones running 2.2.1, so it probably will work for this too. Once that's done, TiBu will remove everything extra anyway.
On the battery side, the Atrix 4G packs an impressive 1930mAh battery inside, and even though Android is data intensive, we found ourselves squeezing more than 24 hours out of the device on a single charge with fairly heavy use. You can probably get more time out of the device if you avoid calls when possible and keep your brightness settings in check, but we were pleasantly surprised by the performance we saw.

lol, yeah, don't hold back or anything. This phone is sounding like a winner to me assuming it can be properly rooted and custom roms installed. I never had an interest in the docks anyways so the overall beatings they are taking in the reviews isn't a concern to me. Like engadget I love the concept but the laptop dock cannot replace a laptop as is making it a third wheel for me.
Well, all I wanted to see in that review was info on the bootloader, and... it's locked... Not really a surprise, but hey, I was holding onto hope. The fact that this phone won't be getting much dev support, and because it's all plastic, means I'll be crossing it off my list... My perfect Android device, has yet to surface.

I don't understand what the big deal is with bootloader, with it unlocked, we might see roms a few weeks sooner, but either way it will get done. New to Incredible

I am leaving att simply because of their shotty data plan. I am also looking at the Incredible because of the unlocked unencrypted bootloader as the droid x has as well as the htc quality that ive seen in the past. I listen to alot of internet radio and 2gbs just isnt enough sorry att and im even more sorry that after 6 years youll be losing 3 lines. At 150.00 a month.
Without starting a pissing match, what rom is good on battery and speed? Generally looking for some user experience reviews.

HeyItsLou's ROMs always gave me great battery life, with Chad's kernels. Right now I am running CM7 Nightly #7, and the battery life is alright for me, not bad enough to switch to something else. Other than that I really like CM7.
I've always had great battery life with the Inc/Evo hybrid ROMs too, I know Lou's got one...there's others out there too by Myn and Chingy.
Thanks! How is your data on verizon?

Like you, I switched from ATT. I had a Curve with them, and the BB was slow along with their network. I had friends on Verizon, and I loved Verizon's phones, so I jumped. Been happy ever since. I live in Madison, WI, and haven't had any issues with 3g drops, dropped calls, or anything like that. I use WiFi alot too, about 50% of the time. I haven't had any complaints about it since switching, it was a great move I think.
This is the kind of thing i need to hear. I am on long island and its not that data is that bad, but att just doesnt get it, 2gbs just isnt enough.

Just adding some input, i love verizon alot and literally have no complaints. I live in California, and i cant remember the last time i dropped a call, or thought 3g was too slow. I use ALOT of data and its a great feeling not having to care about any 3g limits.

Agreed. The last time I remember a call dropping wasn't even my phone/Verizon's fault, it was my brother on Sprint that dropped it. I use data way more than voice, and use my phone heavy for work emails and phone calls (phone calls - only if I am out of the office though).

Do you know anyone that uses Verizon in Long Island that you could ask about the service? Maybe stop someone you see with an Inc or another Verizon phone and ask, just to get an idea of how it operates where you are at. I wouldn't think there would be issues. Just a thought.

Which sealed the deal. I had verizon years ago and dont know why i left to begin with. Their unlimited data blows away att's $25.00 2 gb plan.

My 0.02 cents. Versions network is vastly superior to att. In terms of coverage my dad had an iphone on att and we were driving in Minnesota using google nav to get somewhere. His phone hits a dead spot. We switch to my inc and get there. His phone was in the dead spot the entire time after that. I mean 0 bars, and he wants to switch his entire company next time the contacts run out

Verizon has more coverage for sure. But if you're in an area that actually has at&t coverage, I also think you won't be disappointed at Verizons 3G speeds.
I'm able to stream hulu (modded flash, normally does not stream to phones) to my phone perfectly, watch full episodes without anymore than a 5 second buffer. What makes that statement better is I'm able to do it in an area that has low bar 3G coverage.
And you're right about the unlocked bootloader the incredible has. My dad has the X and there isn't a whole lot of options you can do to increase performance and speed. Pretty much you're only able to swap out ROM's.
The incredible is different, I've been able to change kernels, the splash screen and boot animation, as well as the ROM.
The ROM's choices available are really pretty amazing. There's a bunch of really talented developers here, you can take a quick look at the list here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=969371
So I would definitely recommend you jump ship and go with the Incredible on Verizon
I am definitley jumping ship and bringing all three lines over to verizon. I am waiting until monday when i am off from work again so i can sit down and make sure everything is ported over correctly. I already am deciding what rom and kernel im running and it seems to point to skyraider and maybe incredikernel unless you have other suggestions. As far as rooting goes ill be using unrevoked.

Ah excellent choices my friend
You may end up trying out some other ROM's, I know I have- but I always found myself going back to that combination because of the stability, speed and battery life it has provided me.
There are plenty of ROM's I have never tried, so it's all out there to experiment with.
Believe me I flash roms more than I probably should but, Im really excited to use android the way it was meant to be used with unlimited data. Im talking 8-12 hours of continuous sirius and/or pandora usage.

As far as speed goes, I use Incredibly Reengineered its uberfast... for battery life I installed Set CPU to save on batt when I'm low, but I'm never far from a charger. If battery life is more important there's a bunch of ROMs that have excellent life but it's all personal preference.
I am going with re-engineered v2.3.2 and using the lou's #8 which is already built into the rom. As far as sense goes I'll be stripping it and using the aosp theme. As far as radio's go should I just use the one that is shipped with the phone which is being delivered on friday or should I flash a different one? What about HBoot version? I didnt see if I needed to update HBoot to a different version. Thanks in advance!

[Q] questions from a Droid user maybe coming to sprint

I currently have the Original Droid, which has been a great phone in terms of what you have been able to do to it and it's reliability. My question is; how do the owners of the Epic feel about their phone? Still happy with it? Like the roms that have come out for it? And since I haven't paid much attention to Sprint, up until now, any other phones down the line I should think about? My contract with Verizon is up in 3 months.
Yes if you like a hardware keyboard then get the Epic it's a great phone you won't be dissapointed
If you like running the latest and Greatest software then the Nexus S will be out for sprint in like a month.
If you want a powerhouse of a phone then the Evo3D should be out by June following what they did with the original Evo

If you get the epic, make sure you rigorously test the hardware keyboard within the first 30 days so you can return it if you get a phone that's physical keyboard drops keys.

Thanks for the link!
I never buy phones on contract, and swapped from an iPhone to a Moto Droid in May of last year. Loved the Android platform, since I'm a programmer and super-user -- not a dumb user, the way the iPhone continued to fail.
I switched to the Epic 4G around October of that year (bought off-contract as well, ESN was clear, but ended up still being attached to an account... got scammed and ported it to Cricket myself). Love the keyboard. Love the screen. Not a bad phone at all. I wouldn't buy it on contract, though, since the new phones are coming out. But in my mind, the Epic is a definite upgrade from the Droid, albeit still not quite as flexible as the original Droid was in terms of development and ROMs (was on Sapphire with Droid -- tried pretty much all the different ROMs for Epic and they're nice, but not as nice as something mostly AOSP, i.e. CM7 or Sapphire). Waiting patiently for Epic's CM7 to be mostly stable so I can try to ROM with that -- having very high hopes for it.
So in a nutshell, yes, great phone. But, the only issue is that the phone will be outdated rather quick, though I don't think we're going to see another contender with a decent keyboard for a while with dual-core processors, etc (re: I'm guessing a year). No comment on Sprint service, but double check with reviews in your area to see how coverage, etc, is before making the jump.

I would stay away from this phone if I were you. The roms I've tried are all pretty good, but never perfect for me. I can tell you the current stock rom is still sub par. I would get the HTC if I you. I know people on here will tell you it's not a good of a phone, but I can tell you it works a hell of a lot better. If you really want this phone I will trade you mine + I'll give you $100 if you get the evo and trade me. I'm trying to sell mine now! my phones of on really good shape, no damage to it at all. If you're interested or anyone else, pm me! But to be honest this phone is not really worth it.

DON'T LISTEN TO THIS GUY. His intelligence is showing with trying to trade you for a lesser quality phone. The evo shift does not have an amoled screen or the gpu power the epic has. This phone is amazing and will be amazing for atleast 2 years. This phone will hold up to the dual cores of this year hands down. I've been with sprint for 9 years and they keep getting better. Development could be stronger but we have gotten EVERYTHING WE NEEDED FROM OUR DEVS HERE. CM7 is in progress and there is a stable alpha.

It's a great phone now. Got mine for the second time on friday and updated that evening ota. I also have a Evo and Evo shift and had the dual core Atrix(hype at this point imho).
The Epic is my favorite although i do prefer the keyboard on the Evo shift cause its smaller which is odd but rue

Well maybe you like having to spend a million hours to get the phone to work, but for me, not really. It's almost a full time job trying to get this thing to work right! I agree the hardware is great, but not worth the fight to make it work right. I've spent hours flashing this thing since the new update and I will tell you I still have problems with this phone. If you would like me to list all the problems with my phone I would be happy to do so!

YOU have issues, the vast majority of people are capable of flashing a ROM correctly and troubleshooting any problems they might have, don't dissuade someone from purchasing a phone they want because YOU have problems using it correctly.
I really do like my phone and the ROMs are smoke'n.
They have been having a bit of an issue releasing Froyo that doesn't have some level of suckage.
We're expecting a 3rd try this week.
What balances that are the AWESOME devs for it; they popout an updated ROM with the latest update in no time at all.
Everyone is spot on in regards to hardware keyboard, I find myself (I HAD to have a real keyboard) actually using the swype keyboard way more than the physical one. Go figure.
Some GPS issues; though each update makes it a bit better.
There is a reason that this phone is the #1 selling PDA phone.
Having all said that, in a few months there will be some really powerful stuff that will just blow the doors off anything currently available. If I were in your position. I'd go for a multi-processor phone.
Good luck
I say get an evo.
Theres a whole lot more going on with the evo development that its a much more flexible phone.
Our phone has a lot of potential, but with a fracyion of evo/droid devs its harder for the epic to get there.

Check out the hardware keyboard fix from mkasick - it's implemented in SRF 1.1.0 and its accompanying kernel, Twilight Zone 1.1.0. If you don't want to leave your current ROM, give Twilight Zone a try. The fix is an adjustable one - so you can set the value as low as you want. That should completely eliminate any issues you're having.

These forums speak for them selves. You don't see half the problems in the HTC forums. Also if you have BOTH phones you would know how many more problems there are on this phone. I would wait for the nexus s if you want a sammy. I would not choose this phone again if I had it to do over.

I do have both, and have had few issued with either, I made the choice to stick with the Epic as my daily driver because its a much nice phone hardware wise and significantly lighter. I find it difficult to believe you would have any of the issues you're having if you properly flashed it.

I can't even tell you how many times I've flashed this phone trying to get an optimal set up. I have found that over all I've had less problems with the stock rom, but it is still a lot more buggy than the evo. I would just give this phone to my girlfriend and take her evo, but I don't think she would know what to do if the phone went haywire on her. Hers is stock and I've had far less issues with it than this phone. The only times I had any real issues with her evo is when I tried to mess with it. Trust me man, I thought I was the one screwing up this phone, that's why I'm trying out the stock hardware! All I'm saying there are a lot more issues. Trust me I bought this phone for the same reasons as everyone else! I'm just getting sick and tired of having to Odin the damn thing everyone 3 to 4 weeks! I thought a program may have been causing it, so now I'm trying stock ROM EC and I've only rooted it. I've downloaded XDA, Poynt, Blow up, and the Chase apps. These are the only apps I have on here now, so I was hoping that it was maybe an app causing my problems. Today I had my first problem since going to my current set up. I've been talking about it in this forum, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12464672#post12464672. I'm hoping that it's something that I just needed to reboot my phone. The only other thing I can think that made my phone go black screen is when I use the media player and play videos. I'm hoping it's not one of the apps, but I haven't been able to replicate the problem today. I'm just saying that my girl doesn't have any of these issues with the evo and right now I'm basically on the edge with this phone!!!! I also don't want to shell out a bunch more money for a phone so I just kind of have to deal with it and hope I can find a solution, but I would not recommend this phone to anyone after what I've been through! The Nexus S may be a different story since it's stock, but not this phone!

I'm not gonna say that flashing isn't a complicated thing. But that's your choice and if you really want to experience amazing ui then it takes time of the individual to figure how and what they can and can not do. That's why there is 1 click root. Flashing is not meant for everyone so if you don't have the time that's cool but don't blame the phone for your short comings either in time or intelligence or pesistence.

Trust me I've flashed this phone many times. I'm sorry to tell you that when you flash Roms and kernels there are still going to be some problems. I realise that you may want to flash Roms and kernels to make the phone run a certain way, otherwise there wouldn't be multiple roms or kernels to flash if everything worked perfect with one. You're showing your ignorance if you think that a flashed rom and/or kernel is going to be problem free. There's a reason why there are constant updates to the roms and kernels.
I'm just tired of doing it and you should be able to use the phone, without it crashing, without having to mess with it. I don't think it's too much to ask for the phone to not crash when it's stock. Maybe I need to go to full stock with out root. Maybe that's what's causing the phone to mess up. That's my next option!
Edit: I wish I could see other things you've bought. Just curious what type of repairs you had to do to them...
Not sure why you would expect something to NOT work correctly out of the box? You make a valid point it shouldn't work correctly stock..........

Whatever you do, do NOT get the Epic. Even if it's free. The keyboard TO THIS DAY does not work properly. It still misses keys and it's not layed out all that well either. I came from a g1 that had a keyboard that ACTUALLY registered keys, even if you type faster than my grandma. Please do not get the epic, get the evo shift or wait for something else on Verizon.

Here it goes....

Sitting at Verizon, gonna return my turbo for a HTC One M8 simply because 1 week of having to view ads and not being able to run rooted programs is driving me ****ing nuts. Good luck guys, I can't justify the off contract price for a device that may never even see root. Sob....
Well..........
BYE
Interesting choice. I came from the M8 and can't believe you would prefer that phone myself but to each their own. Good luck man.
Why are people so damn impatient? The phone just came out. If you had a history with Motorola phones then you know they will end up being rooted. I always root my phones but can wait until a root comes out for it. Anyway have fun downgrading because of something so menial.

You'll spend $600 on a phone, but won't add wi-fi tether to your account without cheating the system and stealing it through root?
You the man, dawg.
You pay full price? Wow... I just really think that the Moto series is going to get left behind... But that's my opinion, and they're like assholes, everyone has one...
Best phone out there, I can't believe your impatience is getting you such a huge downgrade.
I have the m8 now and it's one of the biggest regrets I've ever made. The build is beautiful, but thats where it ends. Camera is terrible, battery life is terrible, performance has the typical htc 6 month frame and then you have to format and start fresh again. I'd def reconsider that choice, next week I'll be getting the turbo. My wife got hers about a week ago and I cannot say how jealous I am.

Wow really? I also have the M8 and I easily get a day on a full charge, its always siper smooth, even when I have power saver on. I use Bluetooth to stream all my music. I can agree with you on the camera being mediocre, but it has otherwise been one of the greatest phone experiences I've had yet.
I'll also just say there are too many people here expecting too much and cry when it isn't instantly given to them. Don't buy a phone expecting someone to root it. Accept it for what it is and remember root is a bonus.
Im being patient myself but, hot damn, I want voice and data simultaneously. f root, give me that and ill be content for a bit.

Aren't they going to release it next month for the Turbo?
I agree some people expect to much from a phone. There will always be a downside to each smart phone. I to was thinking about returning my Turbo and maybe get the z3 or Note 4. But I've always loved Motorola phones. Great build, voice, reception, battery. I've owned a note series before but I've always had problems with either the wifi or the GPS not locking on.
This is by far the best phone I've owned. Love it. I'm just glad I never returned it this past Friday.

To be fair , He's cheating a broken system where it should be illegal for a carrier to ask you to pay extra to unlock a function of the data you already pay for.
It will be illegal for them to charge for tether if the net neutrality push goes anywhere, or if the FCC can begin to classify this stuff under title 2.

Ya I know it sounds crazy, but I'm just not a fan. I've had htc devices that go back to the Titan, diamond, hero, evo, thunderbolt, rezound, etc,. This phone is the biggest let down and it may just be me on this, but man its just too finicky. It absolutely offers no protection as well.. if this thing touches water, your done. I think sense ui has major issues and starts to get corrupt after a period of time. I had this same issue with all of my htc devices. Go back to my Samsung nexus, g2 or even my note 3 and i've never experienced this.
Day 2 with the M8. No regrets so far. It's lighter, good battery life, root, tether, custom Rom, xposed , xprivacy. No regrets.

A) he disappeared
B) it only worked for 2014 devices(manufactured) the last time he was around.
C) it wasn't a hack, someone stole something from moto.
There is no reason to believe that will happen again
Also sunshine only works on specific versions of the OS and won't work on the latest versions. The next advertised sunshine update does not include support for the latest firmware. As of the last time I checked. Good luck with root in lollipop. .
