Hi,
I have an issue with O2 in Slovakia - they have national roaming with T-Mobile SK.
My HD2 ignores that O2-SK is the home network and after switching off/on the phone it always connects to T-Mobile SK.
I do not want to switch to "manual" network selection due to travelling.
Does anyone know how HD2 radio or WM select the priority network for SIM registration?
According to GSM it should try the home network FIRST.
thanks
KJ

Hi,
I have a problem with choosing a network when abroad on my diamond 2.
I go to Settings and then Network and from the drop-down, I choose manually, which means that I choose network manually when I am abroad but it always chooses for me and never displays choices to choose between as it does in e.g. Nokia.
How do I do that on my Diamond? Is there any chance that I keep my phone connecting to one network and never on any other networks when I am abroad?
The thing is that in Denmark, it is free to use network 3 as well as in Sweden, neighbour country. So It would be nice to have it connecting to network 3 and no others. It drops 3 sometimes when network is low or lost and connects to next network automatically even though I choose manual? Anybody can help with that please?
Hi,
I got a problem that makes me crazy.
I leave in Switzerland, near the border with France.
As in Switzerland GSM transmitter have lower power than in France, my HD2 switch very often to french network and don't come back to home one (even when home network is stronger than french one).
In phone settings, I set "network selection" to Manual.
But phone seems to ignore this settings, and as soon as home network is unavailable, it switch to roaming, without asking ... And never come back to home network till roaming network is unavailable too (which is rare, due to stronger power).
Any one got an idea why manual network selection is not working ?
For your information, I always had this problem since I got a HTC with WM5/6
(got it with my Touch and my Diamond)
Another option could be to completly disable roaming (any way can be used), and when travelling, I can switch roaming back on.
Is this possbile ?
Thanks

A little up, in case someone got a response

Today i flashed my HTC Touch HD with this rom (STONEHENDGE), Now for some reason i cannot get my 3 network to work atal.. Cannot make or recieve calls. It shows an exclimation mark next to the network signal icon. Also when i press find network in network selection it only finds o2 tmobile orange and vodaphone.
Any help? Is it maybe the radio needs updating?
Might sound obvious, but you have checked the UMTS band is 2100 (or Auto), and the phone has 3G enabled in comms manager?
If it's finding the 2G networks but not Three, sounds like phone is set to GSM only, sometimes happens ater a new ROM.
Hi
I am trying to find out a way of forcing a new device I have just bought (Motorola ES400) to connect to the Vodafone network via 3G only.
I am testing it at work using a work sim, and are experiencing issues with our corporate APN on these types of devices, so I want to try 3G.
Does anyone know of a way either a bit of software, or a *# dial string that I can enter that will give me the option.
I have an HTC TP2 which has Advanced network settings in the connection settings area that allow me to disable HSDPA, but there is nothing on the ES400 that lets me do this.
Thanks in advance.
