I got that message as well. I went and used odin and I am back to 2.1 but it won't start the update. Am i doing something wrong?

My kids had the transform for a while; which came with sprint id. Sounds like a good concept; but it really wasn't very good.
Who knows, perhaps they learned from the whoas from Transform users. Maybe, doubt it though.
I know for myself; Sprint ID will never be installed on my Epic.

haha! doesn't bother me as long as our devs get a hold of it

pretty happy with the acs syndicate frozen rom. why did it take sprint so long? no reason for me to want to sprint update..

Got this text 3.5 hours ago in Minneapolis. Since I just got midnight 5 working after days of trouble with midnight 4.2, I'm not terribly enticed to go back to stock and get the update ... I assume plenty of others will be .. but maybe no one yet?

You all should know that it doesn't get distributed by area. It gets distributed by your status on the google servers.

No one really knows. It could be by esn number, but that's just me speculating. It seems random, you might get one update first, but get the next update last.

Seems some people have been reporting being able to update to prl 60679.

If anyone has 60679 please snag it and post it to this thread. I'll run an analysis of it.

I was geting the error for the longest time. But the past few weeks it works everytime goes through the process

No update to PRL 60679. Still 60676. Anyone got the PRL file for a manual update?

Me and manager just talked about 60679 on Monday. It fixes towers in New Mexico and North Carolina. Seems they are having major data roaming problems like Florida was having.
Nothing official from Sprint about 60679 though...and no confirmation if Samsung devices will get the update.

Change log comparison between 60678 and 60679 is up along with the full analysis of 60679. You can find it at www.batonrougebroadband.info.

Anyone figure out how to make manual updates stick yet? Sprint sends me back to 60676 in a few days everytime. And I have a NO CIQ ROM!

Ciq doesn't have anything to do with that...MOD EDIT
you can easily make a manual prl stick by removing "DeviceManagement.apk"

Any time I've tried to manual update, it just changes back.

We need a tutorial and the ***79 PRL to update... . Anyone?

Me too. I just tried it again and used SDX app removal tool to backup and delete devicemanager.apk. Will let people know if it changes back in a few days.

01115 is by far the best. 3G data roaming ftw!
Also removing device manager.apk will not allure you to update your prl or profile our check for updates. That's the way sprint roll backs your prl

Where Can I Get The Latest PRL?

I can get do it through the network since I get an error. Anyone know where I can download it?

Try the PRL thread in the Dev section.

Read the prl thread in my sig we pretty much have every prl u could want there. If your looking for the 60681 prl I don't think we have it uploaded yet but ill get someone on it.

How? Not even an odin flash has ever overwritten my prl, the only way it has ever changed is via OTA or the manual method described in the thread in the development section... Even when I recently tried EG22 and EH06...

It should, but I would switch anyway. It really easy and fast once you have done it before.

So 11115 is faster?

01120 doesn't have much 3g roaming. 11115 does though.

The 01120 is sprints corporate prl they sent that out for people who travel a lot so you'll probably have better coverage on that one. The 11115 prl was regional that not that many people got. Please just read the second thread in my sig it'll explain everything.

I just started losing data while roaming at my job on 01120. How can I backup 01120 so I can try 11115 and switch back if I don't like it?
Edit: I found a copy of 01120.

Is there a more update thread with all the PRLs?

Actually that is incorrect. 01120 was Sprint's 3G roaming "test". It only had 3G roaming in a few states. It was replaced with 11114 and then 11115 which added 3G roaming to just about anywhere in the US.
11115 will have the "better" coverage. It's also not a Preferred network only PRL, meaning if the SID that your phone finds is not even in the PRL it will connect to it with 1X Data/Voice. It won't connect with 3G of course since your phone will not know the subnet to use for EVDO.

Sprint Navigation Update

I have Sprint Navigation v2.8.0.1100 for the samsung epic and it's telling me to update. I don't see Samsung Epic in the list of phone choices I can choose from. Should I just download the apk for the EVO?

nope! I checked through other manufacturers also

I just re-installed Sprint Navigation and saw the update option. I ran it and it just made it the TeleNav 6.2-Sprint-6201425-snsigned. I know its already available but if that's the update you are referring to, here it is. The OTA update did work for me...

I know have v6.2.6201425 and it's not asking to update. Thanks! gf is having the same problem. I'll update her epic later.

Freeze or remove Sprintandroidextension.apk and Devicemanagement.apk.

I don't think your phone will... I've been on a 11115 for about 2 months and its never automatically updated. Maybe I'm just lucky lol

You are just lucky. I was on it for a while (11115) and it updated 1 or 2 days ago.

I know freezing system updates works, this may accomplish the same thing. Since we're all rooted, it's not like we want any OTA nonsense anyway!
