Anyone else notice the market is now like froyos?

Nope, mine's the same as it ever was.

yup mine's different. It's even got the market widget, which I have no idea what its for

I have read about it changing but hasn't happened for me yet.

Open up sdx system remover and backup marketupdater.apk and googleapps.apk and vending.apk, search for that file on you sdcard and upload it for us less fortunate people.

i suddenly noticed it today

Just as I posted, I noticed my screen came on. So I went to unlock my phone to see wtf was up and a notification box came up. I was dragging the unlock button simultaneously as this happened, and it disappeared. I really, really want to know what it said. I feel lucky for an update of some sort.

So what exactly does this look/do? I wanna see if mine updated or not lol

I guess the best part is an 'update all' button. though I didn't think that the froyo market worked on 2.1 but maybe i'm wrong..

If you think about it, none of the froyo market features really required the jit compiler or c2dm that froyo has so it should work on 2.1 easily

Just don't get confused by the filename. remove the '.zip' from the end, then install like a normal apk.

My kids had the transform for a while; which came with sprint id. Sounds like a good concept; but it really wasn't very good.
Who knows, perhaps they learned from the whoas from Transform users. Maybe, doubt it though.
I know for myself; Sprint ID will never be installed on my Epic.

haha! doesn't bother me as long as our devs get a hold of it

pretty happy with the acs syndicate frozen rom. why did it take sprint so long? no reason for me to want to sprint update..

Got this text 3.5 hours ago in Minneapolis. Since I just got midnight 5 working after days of trouble with midnight 4.2, I'm not terribly enticed to go back to stock and get the update ... I assume plenty of others will be .. but maybe no one yet?

You all should know that it doesn't get distributed by area. It gets distributed by your status on the google servers.

No one really knows. It could be by esn number, but that's just me speculating. It seems random, you might get one update first, but get the next update last.

Netflix on epic 4g

I was reading engadget a few minutes ago and they said that netflix was in the market place for the epic 4g. I looked and couldn't find it, has anyone being able to successfully install it on there epic?

No...Netflix does not support our hardware at this time.

it's common courtesy to use question marks at the end and the "Is this a question? [x] Yes, this thread is a Question!" box when posting a question thread.

I'm running cm7 it dl'ds but doesn't work bc our device isn't supported. Over on android central its been ported to the droid x, and a few others

That would be awesome. It sucks that they left Android behind for so long.

Yea I am running cm7 but I managed to get the netflix app to work but I cannot see any video but I do have sound

Netflix works on ED12 leaky Gingerbread as well as the new EE03 build. You have to sideload the app on ED12.

How do you do this? I am rubbing the ED12 nbfs ROM and it wont load the app. Just gives me a white screen.

From what I've heard it works. The app goes to the login screen on my phone with ED12 installed (EC05 Modem marcusant crt animation and yellow overscroll). I want but don't have a netflix subscription to test it on yet.

Todays update and now no 4G, wtf?

I have cleanROM installed. that's it, nothing else. I went ahead and installed todays OTA and at work, where i normally have 4G, it won't connect. it doesnt say "error", simply "disconnected".
Anyone else having this issue?

by "cleanrom" you mean you have a custom rom installed? If you do, NEVER take ota updates when you are rooted.

How did you receive an update in the first place? Most custom ROMs disable the phone's autoupdate/OTA notifications feature to avoid issues like this.

lmao. what an 1D10T! lmao! Well, find out if you still have the key using the app. once you have confirmed you have the key. install the "STOCK!" rooted copy and attempt to connect again. lol. then if it doesn't work. get a hammer and smash all your fingers for being stupid. lol!
TIME AND TIME AGAIN, NEVER TAKE AN OTA! IT SHOULD BE COMMON SENSE! I could bet anything that sprint disabled their 4G network because they don't want to support wimax anymore. LOL!

So what does the update fix/break anyway?

PRL is preferred roaming list. Its a file that tells your phone what towers to roam on when you have no sprint service. It will NOT improve your sprint signal, your phone automatically connects to those towers, it only improves roaming capabilities.

[Q] telenav 7 apk

I am looking for the Sprint telenav 7.apk. or tn7.apk. I have 6.2 installed on my epic. The market says there is an update but I am on CM7 so the signature fails. In other words, I can't upgrade.

It says on Telenav website 6.2 is the highest for our device so far. Don't know if they haven't updated it yet. 7.1 is for the Nexus S and Transform.

I've had this happen.... I uninstalled telenav all together and then updated from the old sprint navigation.... If i remember i can upload the telenav apk when i get home from work tonight...

OK so their site is messed up. It says 7.1 under the Nexus S and noticed the Epic is absent from the list.

I just went there and updated fine to 7.1. It states in the "what's new" that 7.1 is optimized for large screens...i don't consider our phone a large screen compared to say a tablet but I guess compared to some other older phones. 6.2 is optimized for smaller screens.

It keeps telling me there is an update. When I try to do the update it I get an error message about the signature not being correct. I don't remember exactly what it says but it something like that, which is why I am looking for an updated version.

You are going to have to do what was previously suggested and delete it, install the old Sprint Nav and update from there.

Mine did too but the OP is having problems. I had a similiar problem when I tried to forcefeed my phone TN6 on Bonsai.
