hi there
i hate htc sms so i have disabled it and have resurrected wm default sms so as i can create my own folders for archive etc etc.
2 drawbacks though
the first there is no mms, this i can live with
but the second is that i can not create groups anymore from the contact list which looks the same but options to do this are not there.
any one have any ideas.

I am using Blackberry Connect on my HTC touch Diamond. For whatever reason, I have two "Blackberry" inboxes and one "System" inbox created. Is the normal? The problem is that, under TouchFlo Mail tab, I see two icons for Blackberry inboxes. When new email comes, it will show up in both. But I only need to delete from one to make the mail go away from the other. Under accounts, one blackberry inbox has a grey UID number displayed. The other does not.
Fixed by hardware reset
is there any way to keep htc messaging but add sms back into the winmo messaging software (tmail.exe)
so that the tab still leads to HTC Messaging, but when opening my mail i can still switch to the SMS folders and few them that way
I'm also looking for this. I keep a long history of texts, and used Pocket Outlook on my HTC touch HD to organize them in folders. On the HD2 this is no longer possible.
Hi Guys,
I have a problem on receiving notification when receiving emails in my exchange mailbox but filtered to subfolders of main INBOX.
It's very important for me as I'm missing e-mails without notification and I need to check each subfolder manually for new mails, which is unacceptable.
I contacted HTC couple of days ago and they were not aware of this problem. *shocked*
Is there are any workaround on this, I'll be forced to flash a vanilla rom and put spbshell if this is not resolved in near feature.
Or change the phone, which will be the easiest.
You mean you have set it up and it is alreadyn syncing to subfolders correctly, and what you need is the mail notification?
I thought this was how Windows Mobile has always worked?! - which is why HTC is not aware of the 'problem'.
Certainly, WM 6.1 Pro did not alert for new messages in sub-folders (even though they were sync'd and downloaded).
I found a solution:
in outlook 2007 go to Tools --> Rules and Alerts. edit the rule for the subfolder you want notifications for. Activate "display a specific message in the New Item Alert window. The message doesnt matter. Now your HTC HD2 with sense UI will notify when you receive a message in a subfolder.
A small negative side effect is the pop-up in your outlook

Click to collapse
And just in case someone is using the Outlookanywhere web app to read his e-mails (so I synchronise the phone by an Internet connection, and not with the computer)?
Does anyone knows if its possible to view threaded sms in outlook instead of the annoying HTC app?. Used to have this feature on my old Tytn2......
Hi, Traditional Mode is the only other option that I'm aware of on the standard ROM but, like Outlook, it's not threaded (seperate Inbox, Sent items etc.).
Hi all,
Is it just me or does the stock email app really suck! using it for 2 accounts (imap) sometimes picks mail up, sometimes doesn't.... & how slow & laggy is it?
Is there another way?
Hi,
There are several options in the play store. For example; Moxiar Mail, K-9 Email, Enhanced Email & Aquamail, etc.
I personally like the stock app because it's the only one that gives me the option to add multiple exchange accounts, which I need.
On the other hand, one of the negative points about the stock app is that except for the inbox, all other folder shows between brackets, then number of emails inside the folder instead of the number of unread emails! This makes my life difficult when receiving multiple emails in different folders. I can't know in which folder it is unless I knew exactly how many emails in each folder I had before receiving the new emails!
Aqua Mail is great
Samsung email app does suck.
Rich text editing is horribly broken.
Can't insert an image. It shows in edit mode, but after sent, the picture is shown as "missing" with a broken image icon.
I might as well go to K9...
