Easy Way to Remove Verizon Bookmarks from Browser - Fascinate General

Just wanted to share a trick I discovered to delete the Verizon bookmarks from the browser, from within the browser.
Just visit the bookmark, then go into history, and delete the bookmark from there with a hold-press on the history entry. For some reason this worked, even though it wouldn't delete from the bookmarks screen.

NICE! Thanks!

Good work, dude.

Wouldn't work for me, so I just opened up skyfire and it allowed me to delete them just like any other bookmark.

Looks like we found two ways to do it. Good work guys.

Good work, but I was able to delete them like any normal bookmark from Dolphin.

Easiest way I found was to go to the bookmarks thumbnails, long press the bookmark and choose "Delete bookmark" from the popup menu.

Thanks acid... always making sure we walk away from stock haha
I tried to do this manually by changing it in root explorer and it didn't work so I downloaded the .zip and placed it in the folder and it still didn't work the only one i have left is the verizon wireless one....any ideas?
Edit: Nevermind I got it. I just unchecked the yellow star under the history tab and it made the bookmark go away.
this is all good info. i could never figure out how to delete from bookmarks in the original browser, so i deleted from skyfire - and it was removed from the regular browser as well.

Picasa and web browser with Epic 4G

Any picasa users out there? I know we can sync pics using the gallery, but I'm wondering why the Epic has difficulty with the picasa website using the default browser.
On my EVO, i can check everything out just like on my desktop browser (my albums, photos, slideshows, etc). On my Epic, i noticed that it just takes me to a nearly blank page. I thought maybe it's because the Epic has Android 2.1 and that it would be fixed with 2.2. Then I tried the same on the Samsung Nexus S with Android 2.3 and it displays the same almost blank page.
Maybe it's forcing me to the mobile portal? Either way, is there any way around this to make it show up like on the EVO? Thanks.
Set your UAE string to desktop
in the browser type about:debug in the address bar, press enter, then go into settings - youll find it.
Please disregard this post. Thanks.
Just for others using picasa try picasa tool it works awsome.

edit: got it working... Felt like nothing happened and then realized options showed up in settings. Thanks!

I deleted Dolphin, but now when I hit the globe it says no intent. I realize this means the shortcut must still be pointing to Dolphin, but there is no executable there which is bringing up the error. How do I fix this?
Bump to the max
Press and hold on the Internet icon in LauncherPro. Change the shortcut to your preferred app. Either use LauncherPro's Internet icon or the one from your app.

How do you force desktop only browser?

The title speaks for itself. This was a cool feature on the evo that's not on this phone. Now before anyone starts trolling talking about use search I have this is what I came up with. According to the info I found I'm suppose to type about:debug go to settings and look for uastrings and select desktop. Well that option is not there. So do anyone here have a way of having to do this. Oh yes I have a pc if I was home I would use it.

Remove link previews through Samsung's messenger app?

OK, so I've been using Google Messenger for ages now, and I have no idea how the Samsung messenger works. Right now, when I click a link in a text, it brings up an internal Samsung browser that opens the page. Is there any way I can disable it, and just open it in my default web browser (In this case, Firefox)?
Thanks in advance for the help.

you need to clear default data from Samsung Browser
next it will ask how to complete action (select Firefox)
:good:
Sorry, maybe I was unclear: Clicking the link isn't opening Samsung's browser itself, it's opening like an "in app" browser, which opens the web page. I then have to click "more" and select "Open in browser". I've never actually opened the Samsung browser, and it's not selected as a default for anything.

I actually hate textra. The only reason I'm using the stock app is for the RCS and the always on screen notifications. If I was going to move away from the stock app, I'd just go back to Google Messenger.

There isn't, at all. I've checked every setting in the app, trying to find something hidden through system settings but I'm not expecting anything.
edit: wrong reply.
