I have the gingerbread launchpad with myn's newest release of warm. When I hit the globe icon for the internet it opens up Dolphin HD even though my default browser is xscope6. How do I make it open up the default browser?

I deleted Dolphin, but now when I hit the globe it says no intent. I realize this means the shortcut must still be pointing to Dolphin, but there is no executable there which is bringing up the error. How do I fix this?

Press and hold on the Internet icon in LauncherPro. Change the shortcut to your preferred app. Either use LauncherPro's Internet icon or the one from your app.

Now that my GF has Froyo she wants to use it to catch up on her shows she watches, for instance VH1.com, defaults to wap.vh1.com. How can this be disabled so that she can watch her videos?

There is a vh1 app for Android.
To turn off the MOBILE user agent, go into the browser, hit menu, go into settings and disable mobile view

That didn't work, still goes to wap.vh1.com. Even rebooted and retried.
i would suggest either using dolphin hd and setting it up to view pages in desktop mode, or open up a window in the stock browser, type "about:debug" without the quotes. menu, settings, scroll down to UAString and change it to desktop.
U can try bolt browser as its the only java based mobile browser which can stream.
I haven't upgraded yet. But, I was able to scroll down to the very last link on the Wap page "Desktop Site." I then bookmarked the full site and am now able to go directly to it though bookmarks.

It's hidden like in stock android phones. Type "about:debug" in address bar and go to settings in browser. Scroll completely down to UAstring and set the desktop mode. The browser forgets the setting so you have to set it again after restart I think.
Thanks didn't know about that..but tried it..checked desktop..and its still loading up mobile sites..ughhh really sucks

Install dolphin hd browser - I wasn't going to do the about: browser crap every time either. User agent is in the settings menu in dolphin.

Install a different browser. IMO I have used them all and xScope 6 is the fastest. It also lets you set to desktpp mode so every site is full.
However if you want a mobile site, you can set the settings for each domain as well.
Ok thnx guys ima try both of em out see which one I like

Tried a few browsers and im liking xscope alot. thanks
I use dolphin for mobile and xscope for desktop. That way I don't have to switch the settings back and forth.
Is there a trick to forcing these browsers to use desktop mode? I love dolphin because it does it but its SO LAGGED I cant handle it
google is your friend.
i put about:debug in my browser but nothing happens...

In stock browser nothing will appear to happen. You need to hit the menu in upper right after and choose settings >debug and uastring to change to desktop.
i got it now, thanks. So there is no permanent fix for Wifi? Nothing in the framework res?
Just use Dolphin mini..it works way better on the Xoom.set user agent to desktop and you're done

The title speaks for itself. This was a cool feature on the evo that's not on this phone. Now before anyone starts trolling talking about use search I have this is what I came up with. According to the info I found I'm suppose to type about:debug go to settings and look for uastrings and select desktop. Well that option is not there. So do anyone here have a way of having to do this. Oh yes I have a pc if I was home I would use it.

Download and use dolphin browser hd from the market its much better and has tabbed browsing like a pc. And click menu settings user agent change to desktop
As of now I think it just shows in the google app and when I click a link from the search it'll open in my default browser. Wondering if anyone has been able to get the search to go right to default browser?
Thanks
Dave
It goes to Dolphin for me. Try clearing the defaults.

The search output goes to dolphin or do you have to click on the search output which opens in dolphin?
Dave
Oh, I think I know what you mean. Every search goes to Google Now first (not default web browser). Every link I press after goes with Dolphin. You can't change that.
