i called verizon and theyre shipping me a new one but my problem is the phone it self can't get pass boatloader. i mean since the tech wasn't able to help me hence sending me a new phone is there more testing they do at the factory that later on ill be charge because of something f up and voided the warranty. im just worried or it is a done deal and i shouldn't worry? anyone bricked thier phone and able to get a new one with no problem???

There are a lot similar messages in the forums at this site, all from people with bricked phones and waiting for a solution that is not here (yet). The easiest and quickest way to have your phone up and running again is to send it to either you provider or imei-check. But this will cost time and money. In the meantime, there are a lot of tips and tricks (not allways working though) in the various threads, you might give that a chance. What is the risk? I would say, there is not any, since your phone is allready dead and the warranty went out the window the moment you tried to flash another ROM.
I took the risk and went to the store and told them that my phone was dead after installing a program, they looked at it and just send it for repair, so far so good. hope it will come back alive. From now on no more risks!! thanks for your tips people!! Let you know when phone is back and fixed...

i installed HSPL2 2.8.0000 i think and i installed Kumar ROM. after a week i installed non tmobile ROM and my phone is dead. it does not show the phone is charging and it does not turn on at all. i try Volume + Power and nothing happens. if i get a replacement phone from tmobile, do you guys think they can find out what went with this phone ? can they hold me any legal terms ? what worst can happen if they find out ?

I work for tmo customer care and the worst case scenario is that you'll be charged a $100 out of warranty fee as the issue was caused by human error not the manufacturer. As far as I am aware there are no legal ramifications. Just call and say your phone won't turn on and you don't know why. They will run you through all the troubleshooting, just make them understand the issue is NOT with your battery or charger as they may want to replace those first if they believe its a power issue.
quite a lot of people have returned tmous in that condition, after flashing a .51. radio, and no one has said anything about any comebacks. The only people that have been charged are those who sent it back where you CAN get into bootloader, and they left hspl visible.
In your case they wont be able to get into bootloader, so you should be fine.

Hi there all,
Just want to confirm one thing as I have read over 100 posts and did not find a clear answer.
So I bricked my TMOUS HTC HD2 and I Have tried all ways to get into bootloader, but no luck (v. down + power) like a million times and every time I hook the phone to the PC i get the Qualcomm Diagnostics interface 3197 com port.
These where the steps I did before it got bricked:
1- Flashed using HSPL3 to 2.08.HSPL from SPL 2.08.0000
2- To change language I Installed the following ROM (_HTC HD2_RUU_Leo_HTC_ARA_1.66.415.4_Radio_Signed_15.30. 50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship)
3- Got a message that phone was successfully flashed with the new ROM.
4- Phone got shutdown and bricked/dead
These are my phone details before I did any of the above as I saved them before I did anything in case of any damage and forgot to investigate radio issues hehehehehe:
Rom Version: 2.10.531.1 (82076) WWE
Rom Date:02/22/10
Manila Version:2.5.20121412.1
OS Version:5.2.21889 (21889.5.0.87)
Radio Version:2.08.50.08_2
After all the posts I read, I understand that my mistake was that I flashed My tmous HD2 with a .51 radio and that's the cause for the phone to brick.
My question is:
is it possible in any way for me or a tmous service center to enter into bootloader mood using any means. if no than I'm verrrrry happy cuz they will never be able to see the HSPL I flashed.
I would appreciate your confirmation. I know you mentioned it above that they can't, but just wanted to confirm before i send it to them.

i was trying to find a radio that worked with android.
the Fing part is that this is the replace phone i just got in and now if i call back to tmobile will they be able to see what i did to the phone, cause they will press charges for misleading info

yeah i bricked my hd2 tmobile usa as well. I went to install HSPL again after i took it off and it went trough fine then it crashed. I'm waiting for a new 1 to arrive soon then i will send mine back and hope they cant get into anything. Nothing comes on the screen no lights at all, so i hope i can by pass

there is no such thing as a unbrick unless u send your phone to a expert who can do it them selves which you can search for in the forums
ok i have HTC HD2 512 don't know how many versions out there!(just know mine was somthings to do with asian one!) i flashed radio with Radio_Leo_2.15.50.14 and it went till 99% and stucked!i can get to bootloader screen but not be able to unbrick it! funny thing is after puling out my battry for about an houre magldr loads!

i want to bye jtag! any tutorial on how to use jtag to fix bricked hd2? or any idea on how to unbrick it without jtag?

Hi all,
I bricked my Magic last month trying to flash an engineering SPL onto it. It's stuck at the Vodafone screen and won't go into bootloader nor recovery. I've tried the trick detailed in the How I Un-Bricked My Bricked Phone thread with no luck and I've tried it for weeks.
I'm going to try to JTAG based on this guide but I need the hardware. Just wondering if anyone local(ish) has the hardware before I spend $90 or so.
Even better would be someone who could do it for me!
Anyway, just giving it a shot. Hopefully there's someone out there...

2.In my town there isnt any JTAG or other BOX
3.In my country ( Bosnia ) there isnt any motherboard for t-mobile HD2
4.Im have no money for service AGAIN
5.Im wont quit!
Problem: Im have HTC HD2 T-mobile! First,my phone starts to freeze and restarts...im wanted to install NAND android, but after installation it wont start, stuck at MAGLDR and error '' E1 FATAL ERROR''..
Then im tried stock software from T-mobile page, but stuck at 0%...tried tast29 stuck at 0%..tried new radio,stuck at 0%..and last thing what im was do is '' Reflash HSPL3''... when im flashed my phone vibrates 7 times and died!
Now no boot at all, now charge at all! Im can fead little vibration, but nothing happend's!
IF i need i will open phone and repait my self motherboard! Just dont tell me '' Theres nothing to do''..
I seed some guy who saved many bricked Xperias phone by some '' test points '' and pc software! TOTALY DEAD XPERIAS
Any advice is helped me, if you dont have some fix or advice, dont post reaply please.. im was seen some guys who saved this HD2 without service!
AND AGAIN IM DONT HAVE ANY MONEY FOR SERVICE AND FIX! NO WARRANTY AT PHONE AT ALL!

Wow... you have exactly same story as mine... I ****ed up my phone today, it was working fine. My phone is not even 4 months old (TMou HD2) and today it gave up hard on me.
Now, it won't go past HTC Logo (splash screen). I have been reading stuffs and trying to do magic, let's see what happens.
If I get to fix it, I promise I will post the solution. Stay tuned

I hate to say it but I don't see any way out of this for you I'm afraid. Without JTAG your device is completely bricked. The best you can do now is sell it online as a bricked device and hope someone wants it.
Man there isnt JTAG here,ho want to buy bricked HD2.. im can get only 60$ for it! Somebody says my motherboard die, somebody im must du it with JTAG!
This post here is to help every other member with HD2!

Tried everything including "Try to flash via SD Card" but no luck. My HD2 was not very old (95 days) hence contacted seller.
The seller and agreed to give me a replacement so I am shipping this to him. I hope I get my replacement soon.
In the mean time, i am going to buy a MicroMax A110 which is available in India for some US$ 85 (INR.10,000). Not bad for a 1 Ghz dual core phone.
Wish you a good luck if you get to fix it else sell it on eBay or maybe send it to someone else who might know some JTAG in their town.
My story is long and can be found here, but the short version is my imported v20 lost radio after an official LG update late last year and has cost me money sending it around the work to find out it'll cost me even more to fix due to non-lg parts.
I tried to follow steps to unlock, root and throw a custom rom on, but failed. I simply didn't have time tk go through it all properly and am basically stuck in team win with the ability to flash a rom but unable to flash said rom.
I still don't have time to figure it out but would like the phone in some sort of working order.
Is there anyone in the UK who can fix it if I send it? I know it's a risk, as I may not get it back, but given this is a community praised in helping, I would like to put my faith in the right place.
