Whats the best brand/size battery for long life thats not that big? Or is it worth getting the huge 3500mAh one? Are there any SMALLER ones that are comparable?

I am using the HTC 2150mah and I would definitely say it's worth it.
Sent from my ADR6300
I use a potato with zinc and copper wires.
I have a 1500mah HTC battery and the 2150. I think the 2150 is worth it. The central hump on the battery cover is extended about the size of the stock battery out. I'd be lying to say it doesn't look a *little* weird at first but it's really not bad after you get used to it. The battery life is much better though so it's of course a trade off. I didn't experience much of any improvement with the 1500 battery but I didn't use it for too long.
2150mah
+1 on the 2150. I own the stock battery, the 17xxmah (I forget), and the 2150mah. I went through a period of going between the 17 and the 21. I finally settled on the 21.
It give it a little more bulk but I find that the phone is very easy to hold with the bump since the back of you thumb is on one side and palm on the other.
I popped a 3000 mah in mine and love it. Little thicker but it doesn't bother me at all.

I have the 3500, a 1500, a 2150 (which I gave my wife) and I bought 2 EVO 1800 which should be here tomorrow.
The 1500 is fairly good and worth the 10 bucks you can get it for.
The 2150 is not worth it IMO only because for not much more you can get the 3500.
The 3500 is definitely worth it if you can stand the bigger size.
I will come back and comment on the 1800's next week after I play with them a few days.

Who makes the 1800 batteries?
I got the HTC OEM 1500mah battery (used for another HTC phone but fits our Incs) on ebay from the seller bidallies. It was $14 and provides an excellent bump over the 1300mah stock Inc battery. It out performs the Seidio 1750mah battery that I handed down to my wifes Eris.
Best part about the 1500mah is that it does not change the size of your phone. I like the Inc in it's orig slim form factor. I tried the 2150 and while battery life was great I just could not get used to the thickness and added weight

Woah, for $40 you get two 1800 batteries AND that snazzy wall charger??
Also, uptime and awake time?
Is it worth it? I don't have enough on me atm to get the 2150, so that 1800 bundle looks REALLY nice.

Well, ****, I'm sold. Haha. I'd LOVE to make it past 3:00 without being in the yellow.
I read some of the reviews on there and some people had problems with the case not snapping on all the way? Do you have that problem?
I ordered two 1800 batteries on eBay plus a charger for $22 should be here soon

Nope my case snaps fine, but back when I tried to put the 1500 battery in it was a tight fit.
Its the evo battery. I ran mine since day one and have loved it. No complaints and have never ran the stock battery so I dont know how that performs.

IMHO the 1750 from Seidio is complete crap. The stock battery lasts longer for me. Someone had a good link showing some tests that demonstrated that the "1750" was really not that capacity.
I am definitely interested in the 1800mAh battery and would like to hear how it works out. I have to carry both batteries to make it through a day with heavy usage. I'd love to just feel comfortable starting a day with a full charge and knowing I would make it back home at night with a little reserve left in the battery.
The new galaxy 4G is brong released with a 1650 mAh battery and we currently have a 1500 mAh. How much of a difference is that?
Samsung Vibrant, Bionix, stock kernel. Sent using Xda app.
No, but that is very interesting. Just standard procedure... When vibrant first came out people cried about bad battery life.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
10%. Lol. I think bigger and bigger batteries will be gracing phones this year, with the not-much-bigger-than-the-vibrant motorola atrix 4g sporting a much more sizeable 1950mAH battery.
It doesn't seem that much bigger, i wonder how much it adds to the width. Also could be for the added '4g' or it could be just because they could, but I dont think battery life has been bad on the vibrant.
The 4G radio probably will use a bit more power to function, so... yeah
More importantly, will the 4G battery fit in our Vibrants?

Um... 150 mAh. Doesn't your smart phone have a calculator app on it?
The new 1650mah will fit PERFECTLY in our vibrants. It is IDENTICAL in size.
It is the Giorgio Armani battery that was released on the Giorgio Armani Galaxy S version in Italy this month. Hope they are cheap cause im getting 1 or 2 when they come out.
Also to anyone that asks: 10% increases over stock
Note though that if you have had your phone for 6 months like me now, your old battery is likely decreased from the 1500mah it was when new so the new 1650 mah may seem like more than 10% for some.
Using a i9000 3000 mAh battery that I purchased on ebay (yes shipped from china) for $7.99. Love it. Yes its bigger but I like the back it came with better than stock. Lasts forever on bionix v. Like 48-60 hours with heavy use.
Hmm if I would buy a battery I would settle to 3000 mah instead of this, though this won't make our phones big.

Lol 48-60 on moderate use u mean.
Heavy use is like watching videos and browsing ng webs constantly with half to full brightness on.

Why would anyone go less than full brightness on the amazing SAMOLED screen?! Quite crazy if you ask me! I bought it to look at the beautiful screen, not worry about battery life and I get through the whole day with light-moderate use on Nero 5.
150mAh. look @ what public schools are doing to us. I will walk you through it:

Whenever you see difference, you should subtract, and when you see sum, you should add!

Poor or not, if those china quality batteries light up like a phosphor fire or blow up like the laptops used to in your pocket or face, you gonna wish you didn't get them. I am guessing if it isn't a htc or sprint battery, it would very well void your warranty if something battery related goes wrong. You can't cover your ass very easy like ruu before having a tech look at it.
More power to ya though. I hope nothing bad happens because of the battery.

Honestly I have the $8 battery and it dint blow up on me. Now if it blew up on you than go ahead and inform us. But, if you didn't experience that and you are assuming it might because its cheap keep your comment to yourself. An official HTC or Sprint battery has a small chance of exploding too. Shoot you have a chance of slipping and dieing in your shower every morning you take a shower. Well assuming you bathe every morning.

Does this mean I have less of a chance of blowup because my 3500 battery cost $18?
I feel screwed. I paid $9.95. Six months ago. It's still going well.
First thing I do is check the cut off voltage on the battery.
If that works ( and they all have so far), then all's good.
BTW my son and a friend also use it ( and SBC), with no side affects.
Good luck with yours.

Your still screwed since you didn't pay $80 for a Seido. You should invest in a portable fire extinguisher. I bought one for $20 on eBay. Still waiting it to ship from Africa.
I have had an 1800 from china for a while with no probs at all I just wanted the 3500 because I'm a super heavy user. Ill let ya know how it turns out. Couldn't pass up the deal
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
That's great you found a deal on an extended capacity battery. I'm just saying my opinion that I hope nothing bad happens because of the eight dollar battery from china to you or your phone.
I work with and for Chinese and even they steer away from electronics made in china. What I read from that was even they don't trust something made in the country they are from.
What SBC kernel are you guys using with this battery? I have sense so please recommend me a kernel. Thanks.
btw, don't expect 2 or 3 days of use out of the 3500, I'm a super duper heavy user and I can still drain mine in a day, I think 6 hrs its least I've gotten

I have to say I agree. I am an extremely heavy user too and I can get through a day. But a charge is still needed @ the end of the day.

Did you perhaps mean 3000 mAH? 300 mAH would get you about 3 hours on an Epic.
I tried the Yoobao 2800, and liked the improvement. I gained about 50-75% more life.
The one in my signature. Not actually over 3000mah, but then again no battery is actually over 3000mah for the Epic including the Seidio ones. Its awesome and doubles the battery life of the phone for 10 dollars.
http://batteryboss.org/
Ebay batteries are a cheap alternative. Might not perform quite as well as name brands but for 17 bucks (shipped) who's complaining...
Edit: been using the 3000mah ebay for months and lasts about twice as long as stock

and it has worked really well for me. no worries about a bad product or fraud from these guys. For $27 (I bought it for 24.99 but it didn't come with the fancy gorilla graphic on the battery)
How much extra time did this buy you, double? Thanks.

For a twenty percent boost get the battery for the epic touch. Fits the OG epic just fine without changing battery cover. Might be able to sweet talk a sprint store into giving you one free if you go and complain about battery life and they happen to have one in the back from a returned ET. Battery looks the same, is slightly heavier and has 1800 mah stamped on it.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
I have it and really dont notice too much diff under regular use. Mine was like $12, so it just makes for a spare that came in handy several times.
I bought a pair of the 8$ 3500's off ebay and a 4$ wall charger. Phone will do 48 hours with light use. When I get a new game I can blow through one while charging the other.
So far, after a full charge and battery wipe, my battery life on cyanogen7 is as epic as my epic. Definitely notice a difference from the 1800mah to the stock 1500mah battery.
Sent from cyandroid
I've noticed a pretty nice improvement from the 8 dollar one on ebay, I wouldn't say double either, but may 60 to 70 percent. I have been tweaking things for battery life recently, so that might be another thing that helps.
I am a pretty light user, I don't play games. On midNIGHT ROM 5.3 I went 6 days between charging. Of course that is with everything you can turn off; off.
Then I decided; why did I pay this money for this phone to use it like an old samsung a05?? (ok dated myself there).
I usually get 3-4 days texting, phone calls, weather updates, emails and poking around on the market.
randomrom rocks for excellent battery life.
