Hello! I just bought an htc Touch2 T3320.
I just messed around and corrupted it's ROM.
I searched a lot here but I can't find any "Official" ROM only for T3320.
I want the simple "Official ROM". And Please I don't want any stupid answers saying to install Touch2 T3333 ROM. Please if anybody has it please reply, otherwise 'Leave It'.
Thank You!
why don't u restore it with a hard reset, the binary files in use are not related with the installers, so u can restore and bring it back to life
Ummmm.....After posting this, I flashed official Euro ROM for it....
So...There's no option to restore my previous ROM, right?

It only clear your customization/PIM/ and soft data on phone memory..
not reflash the official rom for you
you can check out the microsoft website who are giving the OFFICIAL ROM

Ok I want to do a full Backup of my Herald, so if it crash that i can go into Windows, fire up a program, pressing "restore old ROM" and it is the way i had backuped it.
I know some programs, that are storing backup datas like sms, contacts etc. - but thats not enough for me.
So is there a program that can fulfill my needs?
( and yes, i read a lot in the forum here - but i didn't found anything or i'm just a bit blind )

When you do a backup of your ppc with spb backup, it will backup everything that is on your device (ROM) that is not part of the ROM itself.
It means that all programs installed after a hard reset, all the databases (mails, contacts, notifications,...) all the registry, and all files not being part of the ROM.
So if you do a hard reset and you restore the backup it will be exactly the same as it when you did the backup. And I think that it is what you want.
Caution, if you do an OS up/downgrade, your backup is useless. This backup cannot be either installed on another device.
Cheers,
Fred
ok sweet - ty fred. another question: what if i changed the ROM - how to backup that ? no solution yet?

This is device dependent. With some of them, it is possible, with others it's not, for several reasons. If you don't find tools or someone who managed to do it and provided the way to do so, well you're stuck... I think dumping is not the biggest problem, the real problem is the restore stuff. Sorry, but it is so.
Cheers,
Fred
hehe ok ok - i would be a step closer to my goal if i would find a way to unlock the ROM/ break into, so i can change files in there...

What do you mean? If you're talking about doing it 'live', forget about that. But if you're talking about changing the contents of the Rom before doing the upgrade, well the tools are already existing and kitchens too (depending on the device)

Fred

It should be an official Rom, am I right? If it is the case, download it on the official site and use NBHExtract to get the dump of the .nbh file and rebuild it. Have a look in hermes forum and in xda-wiki
Cheers,
Fred
Yeah it is official, but the thing is: there are no downloads avaiable yet. and thats the point so i'm a bit stucked here...

hehe been there almost 6 times today - and if you try to download them, they would fail.
And the thing is: my current ROM versions exceeds hell of the versions on that page. so why should i use the old ones ? thats not really what i want to :/

If you are running a stock ROM just download the Stock ROM from your carrier and re-flash it ...
Or check out the ROMs thread ....
It sounds like all you need is a regular hard-reset...that will return whatever ROM you're currently running (stock or custom) to it's originial state.

You can try a Hard Reset first, Vol/UP and Down and the same time you Power on ..
But a ROM flash will fix it for (mostly) sure ...

Can anyone help me?
I don't think it's even supposed to exist? All phones aren't the same, I know the SGS has it but that doesn't mean it would be the same on the DHD.
then someone know the equivalent of EFS folder in HTC?
What do you need it for if I may ask? Why do you want to backup it?

Because I'm using custom ROM and after flashing a new ROM my IMEI could be changed. Actually my friend told me to do this and he is using SGS
That's just on the SGS, it isn't a problem on the DHD. Just flash away, you won't lose your imei.

Thanks anyway..

Flashing custom ROM's will not change your IMEI, I am fairly sure it's not that easy and certainly in Europe would cause you to be breaking the law, so would i'm sure be mentioned in the ROM thread

Apparently it's not really true : after flashing Absolution Rom custom, my IMEI doesn't seem to be readable by the phone even if I can find it in bootloader mode thanks to Information service.
I've spent hours looking for solutions through tons of threads here but I come up with thinking it's a dead end...
Thus, any clue is wellcome

Probably Absolution has a bug which prevents it from reading the IMEI.
If the device can connect to a GSM network, then you can be sure, the imei is still there
I'm pretty sure that it's not the rom. Only the bootloader can read the IMEI and I've already flashed another working ROM (BlackIce was the previous one). Any ROM can't access hardware low level IMEI information (what the booloader seems to be able to).
That's the reason why I'd like to know in which partition these IMEI files are stored in the Desire HD and try to recover it.
Backup when restoring, not working.

I'm sorry, but your problem mist lie elsewhere. I've installed, CM7.x, Sense (lost count of versions, between arhd, leedroid, rcmix), ics... AND ABSOLUTION.
I'm now on CM7.2Kang. And i can see my imei on settings.
But that trully happened !!! I'm not trying to do something illegal. I was feeling confident concerning flashing. But I forgot to tell you that I tried to flash the latest Radio ROM and RIL associated .
My smartphone works well but no phone functions !!!

So you flashed a RIL on a CM-based rom(Absolution)? You should always be 100% sure what you're doing and read every piece of information that there is.
From the RIL thread:
jkoljo said:
Only for Sense based ROMs (not for CM or MIUI). You DO NOT need to flash a RIL if you use a recommended radio for a ROM.

I've read the thread but I didn't flash a RIL for Sense based ROM. I flashed again Radio and RIL again like daedric said before and my IMEI can be read now:
I supposed that my first Radio+RIL didn't work !

Baseband switcher
I had this issue also after installing a custom rom.
You need to make sure you select the correct baseband for your phone (not for your location) then reboot. Also I had to clear my data/cache from the boot recovery first. then i had to reboot the phone twice after setting the baseband.
so you may have to figure out if yours is the UK baseband (mine was)

Friend did not work ..... Thanks for the tip
The best advice I can give you is to head over to the milestone 2 android development forums, go to endless7's cm7 thread, and download the toolbox+baseband+others.rar file from his first post. Extract it and install baseband switcher, then open it and select to cghange to brazil baseband. You will need to reboot phone to apply the changes so say yes when prompted.
If that fails, try doing a data/cache wipe (do it twice for good luck) and a dalvik chache wipe from CWM recovery. Then reboot and retry my first suggestion.
Should that fail, I recommend restoring your stock firmware - there is a guide to doing this on these forums. I can't remeber where, but there is a sticky thread in ms2 android development that links to it.
Perhaps something messed up while putting the GB rom on your phone, and trying again from scratch might be the best option

Yes, you are trying to boot a still-under-development ROM. It still has a lot of bugs. But if you are insistent, read through the pages of that thread and you will find answers . (one of them is another zip for eu HD2)
Edit: First page has v0.7 which afaik works on eu.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40881558&postcount=62
If I understood correctly there is a script that asks before installing the version of EU or TMO. When I installed this question was not.
sorry for my english - using translator sometimes)
Do you have an EXT partition on your SD card? If you do, then try increasing your /system partition to account for any potential bad blocks.
