Internet Radio App compatible with A2DP - Desire Themes and Apps

What's the best internet radio app that'll work over A2DP?

I use one called Retro Radio, its free and seems to work quite well, use it to listen to internet radio in the car, tried others but alot of other I tried wouldnt play the virtual dj radio streams that I like to listen to

Anyone know if Wunder Radio will work over A2DP?

Oh wow. Retro Radio plays AAC+. Goodbye XiiLive Lite!

XDA Exec and internet radio streaming

Has anyone tried using the XDA Exec as an internet radio using Realplayer to stream internet radio via a WiFi internet connection and outputting to a stereo system via Bluetooth using A2DP?
I doubt it seeing as the current bluetooth stack wont support a2dp without an upgrade, I suppose you could use a wire from your headphones port to your hifi though !!!!! but then I cant get the current version of real player to work over wifi either, so maybe your stuck with streamed windows media !! on the up shot I managed to get the BBC's Click on line video progream to stream in Hi quality over wifi to Win medi player yesterday, that was pretty cool (and in stereo too)
Thanks for sharing your experience of trying this. Unfortunately, to be of any use to me I need it to work with Realplayer in order to get BBC radio (I'm not in the UK at the moment so rely on the internet to get BBC radio). I wonder what the problem is?
I'm assuming that A2DP support will become available in due course but in the meantime I'd be content to use the headphone socket as it isn't going to be exactly hi-fi anyway.

Radio Playback

Is there any way to control the speaker's treble, bass, etc...? I have an FM radio installed and was just wondering...stock they sound pretty tin-e...
I know they're not performance speakers but just trying to make the best of it..
FM Radio for Wizard
Hi there.
I have been looking for an FM Tadio for South Africa. Which one do you use and is it freeware?
Thanks,
MAC
Am using Resko Radio and it's shareware. You can get a 30 (I think) day user period.
You mean Resco Radio, and that's not FM it's streaming =)
Resco Radio is exactly for internet radio broadcast playing.
Its not an FM radio tuner !!
Any FM tuner available for Wizard ?

Hi Wizzer,
The only way you can control Bass and Treble is via a media player like TCPMP, Mortplayer etc where the software provides several equaliser presets. Mortplayer & TCPMP both have a Bass booster option as well.
Resco Radio does not have that option unfortunately.
I am actually looking for an FM tuner that is freeware/shareware at under US$10.
Thanks,
MAC

FM radio, yes or no

according to these sites, advantage has stereo fm radio:

http://mobile.softpedia.com/phones/HTC/HTC-Advantage-X7500.shtml
http://www.ustronics.com/HTC_Advantage_X7500.php
is it true???!!!!
NO! it is not true!
I'm pretty sure it doesn't. Ameo doesn't and it's the same hardware as X7500. Stereo speakers (dual), yes, and "stereo bluetooth", yes, but not FM radio.
Official specs are here: http://www.seehtc.com/features.html
-Krip
'Stereo speakers (dual), yes, and "stereo bluetooth", yes, but not FM radio.'
how good are the stereo speakers?
by the way, where can i get some good standard ring tones from? any good websites where i can actually listen to them (trial thing)?
the WM5 standard ring tones are terrible. the only decent one, which has become old, is the classic ring tone. Nokia for example has some good phone ring tones with good speakers. any suggestions?
You can create your own ringtones. It must be MP3 files so it is very easy

Thanks
just copy them to /application data/sounds
Resco Radio
Why bother with FM Radio when you get Resco Radio v1.70. Absolutely brilliant IMHO and far more choices of stations than your average FM radio.
Mind you this only applies to people with an unlimited data plan or those who will use it via Active Sync or wi-fi.
I no longer buy music as I can record the latest music/genre of my choice straight to MP3 and even use them as ringtones.
http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/radio/default.asp
or just download the trial version for a look.
although there is no radio I listen to the bbc radio4 and 7 dab streams via 3g on the way to work each day.
admittedly it does drain the battery faster than i suspect a fm radio would.
I did trial the resco radio app but it has no bbc radio staions.
if you are interested in a specific station then google "radio streaming windows mobile"
one link i use (only accessible from your phone) is

there is a program on the x7500 called audio manager that will allow you to cut songs or use them as ringtones.good program to have
The HTC Advantage PRO retail box sure does not come with any radio station tuning software what so ever, unless you consider Windows Media Player RSTP protocol a "radio station stream". You can stretch the term I guess to include the streams out there.... but wanting the sky to be pink does not make it so.

Mytouch3G and Streaming Music Over BT

Has anyone gotten this to work yet, as far as I know the G1 nor the Mytouch can stream music over my car radio. I have a 2010 Mazda3 and i would love to stream over my BT because i cant charge and listen to my radio at the same time cause of the lack of the audio jack. thanks
Don't know about car radios, but I can confirm stereo bluetooth works great on the Magic/MT3G.
I've tested on Nokia BH-503 headphones and on Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 stereo headset.
Don't know what rom you are using but bluetooth does not seem to work on any Hero roms. Works fine though on a stock 1.6 rom like amon_ra, dwang, cyanogenmod.
It works on my Pioneer Avic-D3 I stream Droid Live all the time over BT. Really depends on your radio if it has A2DP. I rarely see or haven't seen stock radios with BT come with it yet
My car supports it though i can stream an iTouch on it and an Iphone works too every other phone works steaming music except my Mytouch3g.
Im running the latest Cyanogen Rom 32B

pandora

what is the pandora thread for hd2
Seriously?!
Just google pandora and do some reading....
Pandora is music application. I have had trouble installing this app due to the lack of keyboard on the HD2 some people talk about mymobiler as a way around it but I dont feel like going through all that when slacker radio works just as well. Plus I have all the music I listen too loaded on my phone.
Its not worth installing anyway the sound quality is horrible
i use slacker or kinoma player you can stream shoutcast stations
u really decided to open up a thread to ask this ?
i have no problem whatsoever with this app, sounds great.
its sound fine with headphones but hooked up to the car via Bluetooth audio or usb its horrible
is there a way to make it sound better maybe i'm doing something wrong
Use Slacker its better anyway
