If you can't even get into the Tri-Color boot screen - yea, your device may be hosed. You NEED to find a Windows XP computer you can borrow and see if you can Unlock the device once again - try the Unlocker procedure, and then see if you can get into the tri-color boot loader mode again.
If you can't get into that mode, you can't flash a new rom.
I can get into the tri colored boot loader mode by the camera, power and reset button method, if that makes a difference......
If it was myn's android, it wasn't for T-Mobile.
But, anyway, if you can get to the tri color screen you should be ok.

I just ran across the zip file on my hard drive and it was "myn-WarmDonut-04-24-2010-240x320-110".
If I can get in the boot loader mode then what am i doing wrong? Am i just naming the file wrong?
Tri-color boot mode for the Vogue is looking for 1 specific file name
It HAS to be on the root of the Micro SD card
The card HAS to be 2GB or less, and it has to be Micro SD, NOT Micro SDHC
Better to do this with a 512MB or 1GB Micro SD card
It Has to be formatted Fat-32 - best to fresh format it
The file has to be called VOGUIMG.NBH - place it in the root of the Micro SD card
Best is to Download NFS Fan's 6.5 Rom or Vin's 6.5 Rom
Or - Download the original Verizon Factory rom (exe format)
Get 7-Zip - free download - and install that
Use 7-zip to open the Verizon factory rom.exe file and extract the large NBH file out of there
copy only the NBH file to the root of Micro SD and rename it to VOGUIMG.NBH
reboot into tri-color mode, and the boot-loader should see that file
and ask you if you want to start flashing by pressing either the
d-pad center key or the green (send) button
Follow the directions from there.

Flashing Via MicroSD Card
NOTE (PLEASE READ): If you flash a Stock Rom via microSD Card then it will overwrite your HardSPL with a stock SPL included in the nbh file. This does not apply to custom roms as they do not include an SPL. BE CAREFUL!!
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the LEO Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your PC
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the .nbh file to LEOIMG.nbh
4. Copy the LEOIMG.nbh file to the root of your MicroSD Card
5. Plug the MicroSD Card into the phone
6. Reset the device while pressing the volume down button to enter the BootLoader screen, you will first see a tri-color screen with the phone and SPL Information at the top
7. Follow the On Screen instructions to start the update
8. After flash has completed, press the reset button with the stylus to reset the device.
First I did a task 29 and now I am now stuck in the bootloader screen with its tri colour screen with USB in the white part,if I have the cable connected or Serial if the cable is removed.
I have tried a few times but it still stays on the boot screen.I am running windows 7 32 bit on my laptop and have tried all 3 different USB ports with the same result.
How do I get the phone back working?
Thanks
Your Phone is stuck in the bootscreen because you have removed the operating system with the task29. so this is normal.
make sure you have transferred the leoimg.nbh to the storage card and disconnect the phone from the cable. reboot the phone and flashing should start automatically. if it does not
now connect your phone to the computer and you will see the screen change from serial to usb
just follow the procedure as described in on the forum to flash from a computer. you do not need to be connected to activesync to do this as the phone is already in bootloader mode. just start the flashing program as described.
Thanks for that,I did realise thats the reason its stuck in the bootloader.I have connected the phone back to the computer a few times and waited untill the USB came onto the screen but the divice does not show up in "My Computer" and when I try to restore the ROM I get a 260 connection error.
I think I have just sorted the problem, not sure the reason but it was failing on a 16GB fat32 card. I have just borrowed a 2GB card from a friend put exactly the same image on and it is now updating the ROM.
Thats strange how the card has made that much of a difference, but thanks anyway.
I'll let you know how the update goes in a few minutes when it completes.
Thanks
many people have said the same thing. 16 doesn't work, 8 sometimes works, 2 usually works.
Up and running great now,,Looks like i'll have to invest in a small 2GB card as a back up,
Thanks again
Stuck also in bootloader

sorry, don't know what that means and i can't go hunting right now. it "sounds" like what happens when you flash a non tmous rom to a tmous, (unlike flashing the wrong radio, it doesn't brick the tmous, it just won't boot)
if i were in your shoes, id grab a known tmous compatible rom and flash that.

Problem resolved... not sure what caused it but I am a happy man now. This is what I did if this helps with people who might have the same problem.
1. Formated the SD card FAT32.
2. Copy and rename nbh file to LEOIMG.nbh to SD card.
3. Reset the phone while holding the down button. It jumps to bootloader.
4. Hook it with PC, USB is shown on the phone.
5. Download and extract SSPL_RUU.exe and RUU_signed.nbh from Dutty Cream la de Cream ROM into the same folder.
6. Run SSPL_RUU and it came up and running again.
Thanks for your help though, made me feel hopeful because I was getting ready to dump the phone and run over it with my car
no worries, just for info, step two was not needed, it would have tried to flash leoimg at step three if you hadn't been using the stock gig sd card (the 16gb cards don't work, which is why the phone ignored it.)

You try flashing it without the microSD card in there just for kicks?
Lready tried. With Micro SD without MicroSD with SIM without SIM. One strange thing is when the RUU is gathering data from Device before starting the flash and where it tells you the old rom and the new rom ver. I do not see any old rom version. Could it be something serious.?
come on experts I have tried what ever i could getting the info from the net. Should I give up on this HTC HD2 and consider by purchase a loss.
The RUU not showing anything for the old ROM version doesn't mean anything. And I would call up HTC and see what they say about warranty status at this point.
Need Nand Flash Dump for HTC HD2 TMOUS
After a lot of time I have contacted a repair shop (after bricking my phone of course). He jtagged and he is also not able to flash into the phone. He advised if we can get hold of a TMOUS (the one which I have and is faulty, 16GB card) nand flash dump then he can try to flash the nand via that dump.
So any one who can give me the nand flash dumpfor tmous htc hd2 16gb mem card.
my email is [email protected]
I will be grateful, as I am not in US so warranty is kinda difficult. Some one sold me this phone over ebay.
Okay do what now? You need a NAND dump of a TMO US HD2? As, a stock 2.13 ROM HD2? What's this about the memory card about?
i have same problem. can not flash.
but will try task29 first.

I had this same problem and it is a very easy fix. I rolled back to and original rom. Download the Rom to your Then right click the rom and extract the RUU file.
copy it to your SD card. I couldn't get my 16gb card that came with my HD2 to work doing this so i used my wife's 2gb-4 card. Format the card to fat 32. Rename the extracted RUU file to LEOIMG.nbh my you can download winzip for free to extract the file. The problem is that the phone is set up for fast connection. However you cant change that if the phone wont boot.
let me clean this up a little
1) Download and install winzip
2) Download T-mobile HTC latest update
3) right click update and select extract RUU file
4) rename file to LEOIMG.nbh
5) Format SD card to Fat 32
6) Copy LEOIMG.nbh to SD (I couldnt get my 16gb card to do this)
7) Install in phone and boot
You may notice that i only have a few posts. thats because i an a Noob.
If you search the HD2 ROM development forum for Flashing your First GSM Noobs guide it has almost all the answer and if it doesn't the answers are linked in there somewhere.
Again Im just a noob so if you follow my directions and trash your phone sorry.

Hey guys, Im not new to this flashing thing so Im ata complete loss as to what Im doing wrong.
Im running magldr v1.13 w/ CWM and a MyTouch 4G installed. I need to go back to Tmo WM6.5 so I can return the phone under warranty. I have read the guides over and over and I have no idea what Im doing wrong.
I have tried 3 separate computers XP, Vista, and Win7 and 2 cables, however when on the bootloader screen I never get the "USB" at the bottom when plugged in. I can select USB flasher and it connects to the computer, same with USB MassStg.
I really appreciate any advise here....

worked, thank you!
Can someone point me to where I can find the stock rom for my USA T-mobile HD2? (link maybe??) I have been unable to find where to download it.
I also tried going to HTC.com and I couldn't find it there either.
What happened was that I had the Android 2.2 nand on it and now the touch screen has stopped working. The physical buttons work fine. I tried to reinstall android but it failed and now it won't boot into android. I would like to bring it back to factory Windows Mobile and if the touch screen still does not respond, then see if I can take it back to T-mobile.

And how to return phone to stock..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPeuNLzqnJg
The HD2 Leo512mb i have had to be placed in such a way so the pins on the usb connector had connection to the main board, and data no longer worked. So I opened up the phone and found out that the usb connector was impossible to solder back on, so in that case I would have to order a new one.. Instead, i soldered the power from a usb cable directly to the main board on the phone and put it back together..
Booting up, it stops at the android logo...
If i try to hold down the power button to install a new rom in recovery from a zipfile, this message comes up
ANDROID LOAD at 11800000
from MicroSD
Load zImage
K: /zImage
ssSD kernel open failed
It flashes showing that screen for 1,5s and the recovery boot screen for 0,5sekond
I put the initrd-latest.gz downloaded from XDAndroid initramfs, renamed to initrd.gz to the root of the sdcard, and the last line of the loading changed to ''SD kernel open failed'' (no ss first)
I have aMAGLDR V1.13, Build Feb 1 2011 installed, and some Nandroid Cyanogenmodrom installed before it crashed. Doublechecked that everything is properly connected back again..
Is there anything to do with this, a file i could put into the SD-card? Heres a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CChE_-xbXA0
I have a Galaxy SII, but the HD2 would be great to have as a backup phone!

How about booting into the tricolor boot screen (Vol down + Power) and loading a stock T-Mobile Winmo rom? That will pretty much take out any SD card issues or Android related issues. If the rom flashes and the phone boots up, then there is something else going on.
But am I reading this right? Your usb connector is messed up? In that case, still try loading a stock winmo rom from a freshly formatted sd card. Instructions for doing that are easily found by search.

Correct! So i only have the charging part, and that makes flashing WinMo with the tricolor boot screen hard..
I think I remember how to install a rom to the sd card, but would that load up automatically, if its now automatically tries to load the kernel for the Nand installed androidrom?

Dear all,
Some time ago some guy came over to me to have his phone (HD2) reflashed. I installed the HardSPL, eMagldr 1.13 and the 400mb file-system as needed for the rafdroid version I installed. Everything worked out fine. But now he has manually flashed CWM without changing filesystem etcetera and took out SD card and formatted it. The phone did actually boot in CWM, and he sold it to me. Now I wanted to do a factory reset, but the phone wouldn't boot anymore, nothing. I tried flashing back stock ROM, but the phone will not be found. I cannot even reflash the 400mb filesystem, it says RSPL.cpp missing... I'm running out of ideas and I'm starting to panic a little. So here are my problems:
- Phone crashed when booted into AD RECOVERY;
- Phone does not start up in any way, when lucky stuck forever in CWM bootlogo (for over 60 minutes);
- When booting into bootloader (volume down + power), a text "loading" should appear, but it doesn't;
I have no clue what to do from here. I don have the T-Mobile version of the phone I do know that . But it seems not to respond to anything which sucks. But I do get into MAGLDR with the menu choices so the device can not be ****ed up too bad.
Please advise me on this

Leoimg in capitals should be ok,, correctly extracted from a stock rom? (People still sometimes make the mistake of simply renaming the whole romname.zip file, without extracting the ruu_signed.nbh file first)

When you try to run the RUU, does it say USB in the white bar of bootloader? if not you have adriver issue and need to install Active Synce(Windows XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center(Windows Vista and 7).
RE:
Yes it does say USB and I managed to do a vodafone update from the HTC site. Though I don't know if it was a vodafone branded device, but that shouldn't matter right?
Anyway, I'm stuck forever in the "HTC" screen in green letters. So this time I'm stuck way earlier. But I'm going to give it half an hour and see what happens. I had to run the update three times before it succeeded so I doubt it.
But another thing, now I ran the update MAGLDR will be restored in its factory form right? And recovery and **** has been removed so I could try to reinstall them and go on from there if the phone won't boot, right?
RE:
Now I can't even get into MAGLDR. The phone is stuck in the first bootscreen saying HTC for over 3 hours now, I turned off my phone and I'm running the update again now, getting errors again. What do you advise? I still got an 8GB sd cart in it but I read somewhere that is OK.
If you flashed a stock rom, magldr is gone, magldr is a hacked together bootloader from the dft hackers,,, there is no "factory form".
Most 8gb or larger cards wont flash nbh files, but some do,
If you downloaded the rom from HTC using your phones serial number, then yes, its voda branded.
I suspect some corruption, some variant of stuck radio, .
I'd start by trying to use hspl2.exe to set hspl 1.66.0000 then flash the stock rom from SD taking careful note of the blue writing during the flash,
As Samsamuel said if you flashed a stock ROM MAGLDR is gone4 and you will have to re install MAGLDR, You being stuck at the splash screen could be caused be the stock ROM you flashed not being the correct stock ROM cause if you flashed it via SD card you removed HSPL and there for if it is not the correct ROM it will not boot. Also if you flashed it via RUU and it is a older ROM version the HSPL 2.08 that you have might no be compatible with the ROM causing it to stick at the splash screen. Maybe this will help some.
