MMS problem

Does anyone have the following problem?
1. The MMS client will not terminate the CSD/Dial-up data connection automatically after an MMS is sent or received. I have to press "end" for 2 second to stop it. refer to the solution from the myxda.com, I had update the ROM already, but this still happen? any solution?
2. When I received a MMS, the program must playing video first. then I need to tap object and see the picture and txt. Can any solution can look at the image and txt directly without watching video, because most of my MMS do not have any video with it.
My ROM detail:
ROM version: 1.60.00 WWE
Radio version: 1.08.00
ExtROM version: 1.60.44
MMS Client: 1.6.0.8

Herald losing SMS settings

Hi there
I have a strange issue with my HTC Herald.
Whenever i soft-reset, the "Text Messages service center" setting is lost (Under Phone -> Services -> Voice Mail and Text Messages .
I've had this problem since i bought my Pda, and was wondering if anyone else encountered this annoyance.
If anyone knows where this setting is stored (registry or file), maybe i can find a way to make a startup script to auto-apply it on reset or something...
Btw, in case this is related to the problem, i'll post the Device Information
ROM Version: 1.8.415.2 WWE
ROM Date : 11/03/06
Radio Version: 02.71.90
Protocol Version: 4.1.13.31
ExtROM version: 1.8.415.102
Thanks!

Herm100|AT&T 8525 Radio Issue

New forum member needs some advice.
My device/radio is stuck on "E" Edge. I've tried every radio version from 1.43 to 1.51 without success. Maybe I'm missing something. Prior to flashing most of my device's settings, I had a good "3G" connection. I'm not sure what if any other components have a direct correlation on how the radio performs...ROM version, IPL, SPL, or if the device's CID has been unlocked. Any advise/help here would be terrific!
I did search the forum for someone with a similar issue and was unsuccessful. If I missed something, I do apologize in advance.
Here is my config:
AT&T 8525 | HERM100
ROM version: Schaps_WM6Pro_WWE_3.60a-0920_Full
Radio version: 1.50.00.00
Protocol version: 32.83.7020.20H
IPL -1.04 | SPL-2.30 Olipro (HardSPL v7)
search the forums for "pimp my black" and use the enable umts setting in that program...
OR...
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Hermes/Tools_and_Programs/SetHSDPA.zip
When I go - Windows>PreConfig, I see the following:
EXEC:\Windows\SetHSDPA.exe/Enable
Any other ideas? Somehow my Hermes lost it's ability to lock onto a "3G" or "H" connection.
strange... I have the same rom but I use 1.43 radio, no problems..try rolling back to 1.43 from 1.50
and duh, 8525 on att
OK...I finally figured out what was wrong.
Under Schap's 3.60a, I went - Comm Manager>Settings>Phone>Band, and changed "Select your network type." from "GSM" to "Auto". This allowed me to gain the connection I desired, and flash to just about any radio I wanted.
Great forum...still learning the lingo.

Manually change your PRL

I had a problem and I suspected it was due to the updated PRL. The latest ROM update contained 60610 and the one on my phone was 60611. I noticed that the rom updates come with a cab that looks like it updates the PRL. I put the rom on a microsd card and ran it from the phone. It installed the PPST program to my phone. I then went to the windows directory and there was a ppst executable there, along with the PRL file, named 60611.prl . (You will also see this name in the xml file in the cab) I ran PPST,and it installed the PRL and prompted me to reboot. After reboot it reprovisioned the data services and the phone now shows 60611.
Be carefull doing this however,I dont know how to get back to 60611. Presumably sprint can make this happen, but I think they think I have the latest PRL. It prompted me to upgrade the last time I called sprint,so I doubt it will do it again.
alternative method...
just dial ##prl# (##775#) and enter your 6 digit msl # which you can get from sprint easily if you don't have it (tell them you did a factory reset and have to reprogram). Then click on prl, edit and you can put in whatever prl you want. I download mine from corolada.com/prl and it works fine.
Alltel Update
Or if you have an Alltel 6800 or 6700 you would dial ##775 then enter all 0s a total of 6 of them then tap on the PRL and select menu and then edit then browse your phone for the prl file, of course you would have to obtain the prl file first which you can search around as mentioned before to get them or if you get lucky you might be able to get an Alltel Tech Rep to send you the file but they aren't supposed to so again you would have to be kind of lucky to get it from them.

Click to collapse
this has all the PRL files you could ever want.
