Tried searching but didn't find anything, looked thru all 25 pages.
Has anyone had any problems with opening messages/email accounts? When I touch text message to open it up it will open up and then close. Same with Messaging icon. The only way to open any messaging is through settings. Where do I go to re-install the DX mail client?

Running DamageControl v1.0
Just updated radio from Geekfor.me
After updating the radio my Handcent wouldn't let me open any conversations but would pull up the Conversations List just fine. When I click a convo it force closes. The stock Messages app won't open correctly, I just get a endless loading circle. I can still receive and even send messages via the handcent pop-up.
Another thing to know: I was running Gumbo (Android 1.5 based) a few days ago and backed up all my sms messages via Kitchen 1.04. Yesterday I installed DCv1 and then restored my messages via Kitchen but it they didn't show up. I kind of expected this because kitchen doesn't support 2.1. After updating to the latest radio baseband 2.x.x.x.x.x from Fresh the messages appear in the list (in Handcent) but I can't open them as I stated above.
cleared all the caches and data from handcent. Can't do any of that stuff for Messages app. don't know whats goin on. Also did the UID mismatch thing and that was no help.
Help please.
So I cannot open my stock messaging program after installing Handscent SMS. The Handscent app force closes, so I uninstall it and now the stock messaging, "process.com.android.mms" unexpectedly force closes right away. How can i get back the original messaging process or file without factory resetting the phone. I am using the latest kernel and zimage for my Blackstone (htc-msm-linux 20101204_010857). I am using CyanogenMod 6. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Whenever I reboot (soft or hard) my phone I find that it no longer has the default settings. If I try to open a web link from an e-mail it asks me if I want to open in Dolphin or the standard Internet app. Same thing happens with my messaging app.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Am using Gmail v4.6 on Android 4.2.2 (rooted). Looking for an older version of the Gmail app that did not have "conversation view" or had the option to disable it. I found v4.0.5 and downloaded it but can't figure out if it has the option to disable conversation view. I think I'll install it later and give it a try.
But if anyone has an older APK I would appreciate it. Thanks.
After freezing the current version of Gmail using Titanium, I installed the 4.0.5 APK using ES Explorer but it says "x Application not installed". Did not work. Not sure why.
Realized I need to uninstall the previous version before installing the new version. I guess "freezing" doesn't cut it. Anyway tried 4.0.5 and also 2.2 and both still have "conversation view" that can't be disabled. Guess I'm going back to K9 for e-mail. Hate conversation view.
Hey,
Ive seen many threads about this, but I cannot find one that works for me. So here is my problem.
Apps like Facebook, SnapChat, Instagram, And a few others that I cannot think of right now will
not send push notifications. I have tried using the Backup & Restore feature in the settings, and
I lost all my stuff, and re-installed the apps, re-rooted my phone, and they still aren't working.
Another thing I have tried is re-re-installing the apps, clearing the data and cache, and pretty much
everything. I also installed an app called something like "Notification Fixer" for root users, and for
non root users which changes your phones heartbeat (Whatever this is) and this still, does not work.
Can someone tell me how to fix this? But before you do, here is my phone information.
