This is a copy of my post in the Android Software and Hacking General Forum, which I am reposting here because I feel it will make it easier for HTC Aria users to find the version of HTC Sync that allows you to sideload applications on a non-rooted HTC Aria.
Hey guys, last week, I let Engadget know about an official version of HTC Sync that can sideload applications to a non-rooted Aria. HTC just pulled that version of Sync. However, I managed to get it before they pulled it, and I wanted to post this here to help others with an Aria get Sync 3.0.5372. I uploaded the file using MultiUpload, FileDropper, MediaFire, and a few others, and I'm mirroring it to other sites now. I'll upload this post as I add links.
Here are the download locations:
Unfortunately, I can't post these direct links, as I'm a new user. PM me for them. I'm really sorry about that, but the rule makes sense.
And here is the BitTorrent Magnet Link:

hiiii....
i m using android on my diamond & want to have some cool apps to work on but downloading from market is a task i dont want to do...is there any place where i can download the .apk file & install it on my diamond...plz help me with link or reply...
thanks!
what android version are u using and where did you get it from ?
i am searching this topic for weeks now and can't find a solution on how to copy a working android port on my touch diamond.
seems there is no such webpage and i can't find a forum post that just tells me "here is the most up to date and best android version for touch diamond in a zip file, just copy this to your htc root folder and you're done."
gets me sick.
same with win7 ports. can't find a serious thread for this topic with a simple post like : here is the actual port.. this runs, that doesnt, copy the zip to your root and run the .cab file.
is it really so difficult for people to just do that instead of writing thousands of forum posts to gather 15 different files, and 10 have to be different to make it work.. it's like hell.
and please.. just use the android market, my gf is doing this all day and it works very good. you can search for free apps in topics and with a free search option and you got ALL android apps available. what do you want even more ?
Hi, I just wanted to share this post and link I found surfing the net looking to see if it would be possible to hack and mod a flytouch II. It says here that telechips just opened access to the kernel source and eclair build they use and sure enough I went to said website which is the telechips webpage and found two files the kernel and the eclair files in .tar.gz I will be totally honest i can flash roms without a problem but i am NOT a developer, all I can do is point people to what I find and help by testing ROMS if they become available, Hope some developer finds this useful and we can start building our own stuff from this.
Post with recognition of original person to find this goodiness
w w w . pandawillforum. com / viewthread.php?tid=2303
direct link to the telechips download webpage
w w w . telechips. com / technical_support/kor/opensource/opensource_list.asp#none
Now since I didn't know if like it happens all the time the site, or section or files go missing I downloaded them and kept 2 copies at diferent sites. If the above link fails let me know will post files for you guys. Now I have two questions and I hope all the people who read this can give me a answer.
1) Is this enough to start making customs ROMS?
2) If the above answer is no, what else is needed?
Hello there!
I have bought a tablet, its name is DVC P10 (I wanted to place a link but it is impossible for me, as I am new in the forum, but if you look for it in myefox dot com you will see it)
its code name, is P10AN01, so i have found that the Advent Vega is also a P10AN01.
Do you know if the ROMs for the Vega, could work in my tablet? i would say that these two are clones.
thanks for the info!
Because your tablet has 3G, I'd say it was more closely related to the POV Mobii. These roms work on the POV but there's little or no support for the 3G hardware.
But the good news is, you can flash any of these roms, play for a while and then flash back to stock if necessary (make sure you can get a copy of the stock rom first or install CWM and do a nandroid backup of the stock rom)

thank you mudcruzr!
so they could work, do someone now if g-tablet of viewsonic rom works on this one?
I have read that the vega and G-tablet are almost the same... I know this is not the viewsonic forum, but i don't want to open a new port there!
thanks a lot!

Does this look like your tablet?

And if so, is there any way you could backup the launcher / ui?
Thanks
I still donĀ“t have it;
the day it arrives I will tell you. but based on the videos I have seen on the web, that should be the launcher for my tablet. I will try to take the APK from the tablet the day it arrives;
cheers
Thank you so much, I hope it can be done
That seems to be the same launcher that is installed on the POV Mobii. I have VegaComb running on mine atm, but you can grab the firmware here and unyaffs the included system.img: http://downloads.pointofview-online...rmware upgrade/Tegra Tab Update_v1.10_pov.exe
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
Thank you so much Unfortunately I don't have the slightest clue how to extract the launcher from the system.img file? :-(
It's already available
The 3D desktop from the POV is available already.
I can't post links here yet but go to android.modaco.com, goto the vega forum and look for the "3D Desktop plugin" topic
but by all accounts it's very pretty but quite useless.

I have to agree
In case somebody wants to try to extract it anyway: Try this if you're on Windows (source).
i have a tegra2 tablet bought from jtshoponline ,the model name shows p10an01 in setting , i have successfully installed android 3.0 , you can try this rom VegaComb-BETA1.4
Hi,
I would like to test the roms I can find here, on an emulator.
for that, I will need something like the SDK for the Acer tablet A500.
(to build my AVD)
I can't find it. anyone have an idea where I can find it ?
thanks
Olivier
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=android+sdk
ah ah ah . so fun )
unfortunatly, it is not provided by google !
I know well the android SDK, I am talking about a small part which is sometime provided by constructor in order to help the developper to build application with android SDK.
for example, Sony provides the SDK part for some of its device. it has to be added to the android SDK.
I think it could comes from Acer, or developer who has it because they are working near or far from this (in the same way, the Leak comes from someone which is near from developer team)
I am still looking for that.
thanks
Olivier
Im totally confused as to what you are looking for.. If its reference sdk from acer . They have not provided this.. I think its something they provide to google then google adds it to the sdk. or acer will provide a repo to add to your sdk.
now here is what setup i have..
1 download the sdk tools from developer.android.com/sdk i think is the url (use search )
2. download eclipse (there is a link on the developer.android.com site)
3 download the correct FULL Java library abe sure to read the requirements on the version of eclipse you use for what jave version you need )
4 Read read READ .. Read the how to install sdk development environment in Eclipse for your EXACT OS . Pay close attention to every detail. like is is x86 x64 and so on.
5 Follow the instructions word for word on again the install and setup for android development platform for your OS Version.
This is what i use as well as CYGWIN (this is for advanced users) As well as there are other tools that make developing much easier. YES IM NEW TO all of this as well. But have learned alot over the last year.
The above only gets you ready. Once you get to this point . KEEP . WELL YOU KNOW THIS Part already KEEP READING.. in a few weeks you will on your way.
GOOD LUCK developer.android.com has everything your asking and beyond.
If any of the above is incorrect Blame it on developer.android.com or the mighty thor. god of the universe..
