yes it says is a virus,,, but should the devs check the file to see if that can unlock the phone???
I decided to risk it...it says "supported phone was not detected". Also, in the program, if you click "Check Credits", it says bad username/password. Did I do something wrong, or do we need a username/password?

it works fine for me but up to the point where it said wrong username and passwrd
That is what I used to unlock my phone because sony and at t won't allow normal unlock codes to work. Or to put it in better terms they won't give out the codes just like the I phone at t deals. But the program does work and is not a virus. I just had to deactivate my avg anti virus while using it. And even if you have the program it won't work until you purchase a one time use name and password from the un locker website. Cost is about30 usd. Don't buy the normal unlock code price. Look for other options of unlocking.

How about a link to buy the credits...their website is as clear as mud as to which one to purchase.
Thanks
bad username/password.

Which option did you use? I can't get their online chat support to even acknowledge me when I click on it.......
Code is not the best way of unlocking the Sony Ericsson X10.
Many times the codes are wrong and the codes are useless when your phone is hardlocked( Too many wrong attempts)
Cable is the best and the most reliable way to unlock the desire and it is instant too.
You can see this thread for details about how the software works :
X10 Unlocking
You have to search for other unlock method within their site. I didn't have much trouble finding it but then again they sent me a direct link because I purchased a code and they emailed back that no code available at the time but other option available to unlock. With the link. Dont have that email anymore, sorry.

I have been wondering, after flashing custom roms, will i have a chance to lose my premium navigation licence which perhaps i purchased or entered the voucher code which i get from the box?
To those who used the voucher or purchased, did u lose the licence or it will sync back in the licence? Where is the licence stored btw, in ur phone or on server according to imei?
And also, for the premium navigation voucher code, is it lifetime or dated?
Thanks in advance to all replies

I recently flashed my first custom rom, wiping everything before. Didn't sync anything back, still the premium navigation is working fine (30 days test license). On the first run it will pop up the usual activation screen, so I suspect the license is saved on a server and bound to your IMEI.
I was on my 2nd 30 day trial yesterday, before my first trial expired I flashed my phone back to stock with a RUU (1.32) and I got to activate premium navigation for another 30 days, however when i upgraded locations today it removed the 2nd license
The licence is bound to you IMEI. If you ever send your phone in to htc make sure you record your imei first. If they replace the handset they will need both the old and new imei to transfer the licence.

Not everyone gets one. Its a promotional code and comes as an extra from certain carriers and resellers. Kinda like some stores will throw in a free car charge and deals along those lines.

Damn, that’s disappointing. I just flashed Revolution HD and formatted SD card and when I synced my license it changed my Navigation License expiry again, probably the DRM ID on the key must have to match the phone or something like that is stopping it. maybe just copy the time and grace values in to your current key then sync? I'm just guessing...
EDIT:
I was comparing my old phone.dat with my new one and I noticed a couple of things that might help. the first was that they have since done a version upgrade of locations and I don't know if that fixed anything, the second was after i had entered in my random values to the key, when I synced the license it reset all of the values back in my phone.dat to default but I now have 2 keys instead of one
Here is my experience. In my case my DHD came with a voucher license for one free navigation. I activate it and an email was send to my email stating tht i have one "Perpetual license" of the country i choose to my phone IMEI.
Just recently, i 'root' my phone, format my mSD so that i can create EXT3 partition and flash a custom rom. I do a full wipe for the flash. I have to download again the maps tht i need but the moment i request for navigation, the program gave me 3 options, Buy, Voucher or Sync License. I choose Sync License, and i got back my navigation for my country.
so flash custom rom to ur heart desire.... HD
I find this rather strange. When I got my phone in November the phone part in premium navigation didn't work, after a reboot it worked and has ever since. The premium navigationhas worked almost daily ever since. I've not activated or put any codes / purchased any licences. Have I missed something or am I just lucky?
Cheers
AFAIK you can onli flash sense-based ROMs like android Revolution ROM though to enjoy the htc navigation.
aggghhh, spoke too soon, it went to 30day trial today, not bad i suppose ive been using it since begining of november.
i dont think i will purchase when it runs out - having no postcode search is the deal breaker tbh
I think premium navigation doesn't reserve any paid from me. Should wait for google navigation come to my country..

Hi, I have the premium key for carpanel. But after I rooted my phone, I noticed that custom ROMs are not installed with it. Is there anyway we can get the APK so I can at least activate with my own key?
i'm not asking for a crack version. just the original one so I can install it back on.
Wat if i using HTC Kindom ROM ?? I can't found any Htc Premium Navigation ><
anyone help us please!!!
Hi, apologies for reviving this thread, but was looking to put on a custom ROM to my HTC Vision, and the topic of this thread is what is holding me off until now since I paid fifty euro for my permanent premium navigation
So after reading all the posts in this thread, can I safely assume that as long as I flash a ROM which also contains Sense, I will be able to keep my premium navigation?
Thanks for your time and help guys

How do you know for sure that your account was hacked by an app from the market? Did you report it?
I got into an argument with a dumb ***** at Best Buy mobile last weekend, she was telling someone about Norton security for Android, they had it in the display, she said that because Android is "more open " it is more susceptible to viruses. She tried to tell me that people come in there all the time with viruses on their phones. I told her flat out, that pretty much the only way to get viruses on an Android is by downloading pirated apps. So they get what they deserve.

From what i understand, we have to buy the software for 140£ and then we have unlimited unlocks.
Well, it´s a good solution for someone ho has a store or is willing to make buisseness in the forum at a decent price.

I tryed version 51 and after download and install, it check for an upgrade. It exist a new version, v60 that download and install but after start new installed version, it requires a dongle for running.
Do you know if version 51 runs without dongle? or version 51 is a fake version to hook you and always finish downloading a version that requires dongle one?
Anyone tested and find a version that runs without dongle?
Thnx
Set your iPhone to require a four-digit passcode, and it may keep your private information safe from the prying eyes of the taxi driver whose cab you forget it in. But if law enforcement is determined to see the data you’ve stored on your smartphone, those four digits will slow down the process of accessing it by less than two minutes.
Here’s a video posted last week by Micro Systemation, a Stockholm, Sweden-based firm that sells law enforcement and military customers the tools to access the devices of criminal suspects or military detainees and siphon off their personal information.

That was my first thought until I remembered that the fingerprint is backed up by a 4 digit pass code. So I guess they could walk right through the Atrix 4G just as easily as any other phone. Oh well......
The video has been deleted What was on it?
Also, your phone locks out and requires your google account password to unlock if the passcode has been entered incorrectly 20 times.
Do you reckon they can get past face unlock as well

If they want what's on it, they are going to get it, no matter how much security you think you have! Passcodes, FP reader, etc., are meant to protect from the regular Joe Blow user who rips off or finds your phone. If the military, law enforcement, etc., need to access your info and you want to stop them, you better go for the highest level of encryption you can find, and even then it's only a matter of time before they crack it and get in to your data.
This is why we need encryption. Really need to port truecrypt on Android...

read an article about a lady who had used some encryption software on her computer. it's encryption software that's available to the public.
anyhow, the cops couldn't get into her files without her password nor could their techs. so they tried getting her to divulge her password through legal manners. however, due to the right against self incrimination, this ruling was, of course, appealed and it turned into this whole fiasco regarding individuals' rights.
so the cops can't always get into someone's stuff.

so true.
after i saw that xry video of swedish agency helping police with all this stuff.
its confirmed beyond belief that all devices can be cracked off within minutes.
another intriguing thing ,
why no mentions of windows phone 7 and blackberry devices?
aren't they crackable?
only devices which are demoed are android and iphone.
If it's that serious install an app that can delete data remotely. They can eventually crack it yes, but can they crack it before your phone call?
