Hey all,
I'm using the schubCRAFT_v1.4d and have issues setting a wallpaper. I choose an image from the gallery to use as my wallpaper and it asks me to select which part of the image and hit save. Then it just goes back to the Astro/Gallery menu and it does that until it crashes.
Is there a directory to put my images or?
That's strange...but I must say I'm using the 1.5 version, and never had any problem with setting wallpaper directly from the gallery

been having a similar problem lately with the latest Bangsters build.
Noticed tho, once i select a live wallpaper, then go back to gallery, it seems to clear the problem

Okay...still playing with CM7 and I'd like to be able to change the wallpaper. I'd even like to try and use one of the stock wallpapers. But I can't figure out how you add to the available wallpapers in CM7. I've searched all over and it seems the only thing to do is install an app. I can't even figure out how to add anything to the gallery in CM7. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I don't understand your question(s).
To change wallpaper long press on the wallpaper and a menu should pop up.
To add pictures to your gallery, I've seen problems of people that have it downloaded to the folder Downloads that actually don't appear on Gallery. In that case, a workaround is to create a folder on the root of the SDcard and move the pictures there. Also have a play with the option from inside Gallery (such as default albuns). You should try this before creating the folder in root.
I want to add other wallpapers to use besides the 'stock' ones. The only options I have are "CyanogenMod Wallpapers", "Gallery", "Live Wallpapers", and "No wallpaper". I want to add some additional wallpapers to use besides the CM7 wallpapers.
First option would be to add to the list of wallpapers that are available under "CryanogenMod Wallpapers". So, my first question is how does one do that, if at all?
My next choice is to get something in the gallery, but I can't figure out how to do that either and I get no option for albums in the gallery. It just sees nothing.
I think that now I got it!
The only way that I know how to add extra wallpapers is either installing 1) Wallpaper Rotator, 2) putting images in gallery or, 3) adding wallpapers through the market.
1) and 3) are done using market.
2) Go to the gallery (through the app), click menu, show hide albums (or maybe settings-default albums) and check which albuns are enabled. Then try downloading an image from the internet and see if it shows that image.
The images contained in your sdcard, like in a root folder, should show up in gallery.
I hope this helps! It works on mine!
Thanks. I'm having issues with the gallery for some reason. I keep getting force closes on the status bar when I try to open the gallery and I have no option for the albums. I did figure out that the problem is with the gallery and that, after a restart, it found the places I tried.
For the record, it recognized folders in all of these as albums
SDCard->Root
SDCard->DCIM
SDCARD->DCIM->Camera
I'm using 7.1RC1 and sometimes I also get some strange force closes where my status bar disappears. In my case it was never with Gallery.
Still I think you sort of solved it.
Yep - I'm good! Thanks!
Don't use gallery. Download quickpic from the marketplace, it's free and works a lot better.

Could just need the simple icon size adjustments in adw?
" once its gone,its GONE."
Well I use go launcher and I have the option to turn off the names under them, so is it possible you've click on a similar setting in adw?

I checked everything on ADW,nothing works.how to take screenshot ?
Depends what cyanogenmod you have. If you have 7.1.0.1 then hold the down the power button and select screen shot. If not then you'll need a screen shot app

Ohh thank you so much. You guys are wonderful. I did something and now the icons are showing in full.
Is it possible to have live animated wallpapers as background on home screen ?
if yes, will that slow the entire phones operation.
The reason i'm asking is this
I tried overclocking and after reboot the phone was working ok,but i don't notice any faster than before.

Well when you overclocked did you select the "Set at boot" checkbox because else when you reboot the phone slows back to default speeds. Also, to enable live wallpapers long-touch a blank space in the home screen and touch "wallpapers">"live wallpapers" to select one. The default "nexus" one works fine with little lag for me on the overclock settings shown in my signature
Thank you so much Matt.
The overclocking is now working good, yes i didn't ticked the CPU set at boot. ON live wallpaper-- when i click live wallpaper all i see is google maps. and nothing else on the list.
I guess i have to get a seperate live wall paper.
Do i need to reboot my phone to make the CPU overclock settings to be implemented ?.
Thanks once again.
I am on Cyanogen 7 stable mod. I have changed wallpapers several times, usually between different stock Cyanogen wallpapers by long pressing an empty area of the screen so the wallpaper menu pops up. I changed to a picture I found online by long pressing the picture and clicking set as, and then wallpaper. I can still change wallpapers using this method, but now if I long press an empty area on my screen the wallpaper menu doesn't pop up. It makes the vibration as if the menu would pop up but it never does. I have tried resetting and tried changing to a smaller size picture, but have had no luck. I want to be able to access my live wallpapers and Cyanogen wallpapers. Any ideas?

Launcher settings?
Also, wipe cache in recovery. Might help.
I reset the ADW launcher in the ADW launcher settings, and that worked. I don't know why I didn't think of that before. Thanks.

Why is the Orange polygon wallpaper the default but when you change it to something else its not available for you to change back to it thus causing you to have to search for the jpeg online and add it to your gallery?
Am i just overlooking it somewhere?
When ever i reset my phone and when it was brand new it has the default orange polygon wallpaper but I can never seem to go back to it.

Not quite sure what you're asking... Do you see the wallpaper and are unable to use it? Or is it completely unavailable? If its not present and you're using a custom ROM it could be the launcher apk that's causing the issue.

I'm on the stock rom.
by default the ORANGE polygon wallpaper is present and ON however it is NOT available for me to set it when i long press home screen and choose wallpapers.
I'm wondering why this is?
i didn't realize this until i changed my wallpaper to something else and wanted to go back to it and couldn't find it thus I had to find it online and add it to my downloaded gallery which was annoying.
i factory reset my device and even flashed the stock 4.2.2 image and still the orange polygon wallpaper is ON but its not available when you long press and look in wallpapers.
I was curious if i was the only one.

I am running a rooted Galaxy S4 with Android 4.4.2. Last night I installed QuickPic. I then used "Uninstaller" to remove the stock Gallery app. All was looking good until I rebooted the phone. It changed my custom lock screen wallpaper back to the default.
When I tried to change the lock screen wallpaper back to my custom image I couldn't as when you go to the home screen to edit the lock screen wallpaper, there was NO option to select QuickPic to change the wallpaper (it was just blank). Strangely. I can change the home screen wallpaper with QuickPic!
Does anyone know how I can change the lock screen wallpaper without the stock gallery app? I have searched and searched online but come up empty handed!
Thank you!

Hi mate
easiest way to remove or freeze the stock gallery is using Titanium back up.......if you freeze it is better as you can use it later if you need
