I noticed that with word cpoletion turned on, that it won't auto complete email addresses/contacts for you. With it turned off it will but no word cmplete.
If I recall correctly, the original dash had word auto-complete, as well as it will auto complete the contacts such as when sending an email
Anyone know how to make it work like the original dash? Where I can have both word completion and email address/contact completion turned on both?

Just curious, does the .cab from the dash doesn't work with the maple? What rom are you using.

Hi all,
I've had a search for this but can't find any solutions.
Unless i'm being really stupid I xcan't find a way to make my XDA mini S count only OUTGOING calls. Basically, I get 100 free minutes a month and currently have no idea how many I am using. The only thing I can get the phone to count is a total of in and outgoing calls which is utterly useless.
Any suggestions?
Alex
DkToday is the app you need, it counts outgoing calls and sms. You can set the date you want to roll-over as well ( my minutes are round up and charged to me every 11th of the month.) I'll attach two files here. First install version 1.69, then replace with the dll in version 1.80. good luck!
Where's the setting options in dktoday?
Sorry, I forgot to mention that. Go to start-settings-today-items and tap the DKToday Plug-in. Then select options on the right side of the plug-in list, and the options menu pops-up.
When you say replace the DLL do you mean simply install the older version then copy and paste the new version into the install location?
Many thanks
Yes. If I remember correctly, the 1.80 cab only contains the .dll file and not the complete program. Simply installing the 1.80 cab should work, but not without having 1.69 installed first. So simply install version 1.69 and then install 1.80 over the old version.
Ah brill, have got it working. So if i tap on the phone icon is it meant to take me to missed calls? It doesn't seem to wor. The bluetooth one does. And what is the bar in the top right? battery? Is there a way to turn that off?
Downloaded this but cannot install on the Wizard.
Two files nether of which will install.

How do I get this on ?
the bar in the top right is a signal strength indicator, it shows you how strong your signal to the nearest GSM transmitter is, like the phone icon in the top bar. Clicking on it turns your screen off. Tapping on the phone symbol only works when you have a missed call. It then pops-up a screen, asking you if you want to call back the number you have not answered. It will not take you to the missed call section like the dialer does when you press the calls button there.
Disabling some lines in the plug-in can be done in options, by selecting which lines ( 1, 2 or 3) it should show.
@Nikko2: copy the cab files to your device using Active Sync or Explorer, than execute them from there, first 1.69, then 1.80. Choose Device as install location and it should work.
It doesn't count the sms. I have 150 and it comes out 000
Same here. App is not counting the text messages.
It first starts counting when you recieve an SMS. The only problem i have with that is that it counts my deliverynotifications as well. So it allways counts +1 when i sent a sms and get the notification. It doesn´t count how many sms you have in your inbox

Problem is, mine doesn't count in or out going sms. at all.
DKToday only counts sms delivery notifications. Be sure to turn that on. When you type a new message, go to menu-options and check the box. When the delivery notification is received by your phone, the app counts 1 sent sms. There is a way to turn these delivery notifications permanently on. I have posted this in a similar thread and it is also posted in the original thread on this program. use the search.
Be sure to verify if your provider charges you for these notifications, because some do. In Holland these notifications are free of charge, but that does not always go for other countries, so be sure to check this to avoid nasty surprises on your bill.

dktoday seems to make my wizard/cingular8125 run really slow. Anyone else notice this?
What happens if you don't install 169 before 180?

Is it available in englis. Google only turned up german versions. I'd hate to have to learn another language just to track my SMS.

You may be right - I didn't know that...
But the program is very simple - I am sure you won't have a problem. I will email the developer and contact you in case he decides to make an english version - it can't be a big deal to translate the few menus...
Does anybody know a way of how to copy texts messages I get from my phone to my computer so I can print them? Showing time received and who received from, etc..?
I need them for court puposes, but am not sure how to do so.
Thanks!
Very good question....Im interested as well....not for the same reason...but just curious whether it can be done.

Take your stylus and highlight the text message -- including the header that shows the date, time and sender. Tap and hold for the popup menu and "Copy".
Open Word Mobile or your Notes app and "Paste". If you've set ActiveSync to sync your files, it will sync to your computer the next time to sync.
I kinda figured that is how its done....but Im too much of a noob with this phone to post possible wrong information.
Is there anyway to do this with a Mobile Smartphone like the Samsung Blackjack as well?
Hi,
The SMS program (the gray/black one included on a stock Rhodium) is really buggy for me - dates/times being mixed up.
Example;
I send an SMS at 12:00 to my friend.
My friend then responds at 12:01 - but it shows up as if he had responded a few minutes earlier then the time that I sent the first message, say, 11:57
It's really wierd, and I'm not sure whats causing this.
All I do know is that I can't have this, seing how I text message _alot_.
Any suggestions on how to fix this, or how to get rid of the Rhodium SMS interface, back to the functional WM SMS interface?
Thanks!
EDIT: If you don't understand the problem, I'll make a video to demonstrate better.
I have the same problem, i dont really care but its strange anyway...
Are you sure that bot your phone and your friends phone are at the exact time?
Some phone don't write the time at which you receive the SMS but the time when you friend's send the SMS based on the time of his phone and sometime it takes the time of the server that relay the SMS
yup I had my GF adjust her clock so they are in sync. then no more problems!
I may be wrong here but, I think it does this when you text through the tf3d sms. When you read the message on the touch flo screen tap the all messages tab on the bottom left and text back that way. Then see if it still happens.
I'm not a huge texting fanatic but this is how I do all my texting. Through tf3d it doesn't do auto capitalization and such. At least I haven't found a way to do it.
Yes, thats what happens.

I also prefered the 'old', standard WM SMSinterface rather than this new one, due to this bug - and the lack of auto capitalization.
What would one do to disable the new tf3d smsinterface, and just go straight to the WM one?
Tapping the "all messages" tab on the bottom left just gets annoying after some time, and I really don't prefer it.
Are we looking forward to a ROMupdate from HTC anytime soon, hms?

I synchronized my phones time with my girlfriends phone, and this still occurs - but only with the TF3D SMS program, not the WM one.
It's freaking me out.
I for example had a diferent problem. Someone sends me a message for example 13:56 and I only receive the message later, after I turn on the phone from standby. Calls sometimes give me unavailable. With my older mobile phone I didn't had any problem with that. I was thinking that the radio update will sort out the problem, but no good. Still the same problem. A big lag between send messages and received. Anyone know the cause. I had also the same problem in my Asus P535 but it fixed someway. Even with the phone connected, some times I need to make a call or activate the 3G GSM connection to receive the notification of the message.
Is it possible to enable it?
On my old phone, when I pressed enter to go in new line, first letter was big, now it stays small...
Ditto! Needs sorting out. Seems odd that there seem to be a few good developments in the SIP, but this one has been missed out.
I've found that capitalization (after full stops) works if you disable HTC messaging, as per the thread about SMS messages not sending properly.

Yep, WM's poutlook will and always has capitalised properly. You'll find that capitalisation when typing e-mails works as it should.
Disabling HTC messaging sounds great but whenever I go to that particular thread, there seem to be people saying that the removal doesn't really work all that well - that parts of HTC messaging remain and that MMS can't be sent. Is this still the case? I will go for it myself if it all works correctly.

Same here. I disabled HTC messaging to get sent notification back and noticed that the capitalisation started working again.
I don't use MMS, but when choosing 'New' from the soft menu only SMS appears (no MMS option).

Apparently Arcsoft MMS is a good alternative but I never got it to work for me. I'm learning to live with HTC Messages.
The new 1.48 rom supports auto capitalization after full stops etc. At last!
Hello,
I would really appreciate a tweak for this as it does get very annoying when typing messages.
I cant get a ROM upgrade as I am on T-mobile so thats out, any reg edits out there?
Why oh why does my phone send certain messages as MMS? My wife can send long messages without them turning into MMS on the same network (three). Is there any settings I need to tick or remove to combat this issue? Any suggestions welcome.

That's probably because you're using image-based emoticons (from the keyboard's build-in emoticons) instead of text-based System ones (Optionkey>insert smiley). The former inserts an image, which converts the message to a MultiMedia message.

That was my first reaction but going back to the 5 messages that it happened on, aand one this morning, there were no emoticons. I very rarely send any and when I do, I send the silly green ones. It's got to be character count problems somewhere. Tried looking in my wife's phone - also a Note 3 - for any settings difference, but no luck so far. It seems she can send long msgs without them turning into MMS.
Thanks for your thoughts.

Hm... Then we keep looking.
What's your Input Mode (Messages > Settings > SMS/MMS > Input Mode) set to? GSM Alphabet allows longer messages, Unicode forces them down to 70 characters.

ShadowLea, you are my shining star! Indeed, that was the difference between the settings between the two phones. I have just sent a long message and all was well, no MMS. Another thanks earned.
As a long time reader of this forum - 3, 4 times a day - and every time I read some of your posts, I think how marvellous to have you contribution and your knowledge
You have made this ol geezer happy. Many thanks!
