there is about a 5 second delay that you have to wait before trying to wake it again. Also be aware that the display widget can turn the screen completely off. while the device is still active so you wont see it on even though its on.

i had exactly the same issue and after a lot of tentative i understand that the screen was off but the phone is unlocked with the screen luminosity at minimun. So if you remember where is the luminosity control (i had on the home screen lucky), you can reactivate the normal screen.
first thing i had done was uninstalling this app...
unfortunatly, after some reboot (to use wm), the issue reappeared and this time i was unable to get normal screen and i had to delete my android folder and get a new one..
a very disappointing experience with this app.
sorry for my bd english
For those who will suffer from this problem in the future
adb shell echo 100 > /sys/class/leds/lcd-backlight/brightness
That will do the trick. You will still need to update the brightness in the settings then.
Hey guys this is my first post here and I tried to search for an answer before posting. Here's what I have:
-HTC Hero CDMA
-cyanogenmod 6.1 heroc
-most recent sprint radio 2.42.01.04.27
-decafuct kernel 2.6.29.6
-open home full 4.4
Since I installed the new kernel and radio two things are happening.
1. Thy wifi says 'error' when I try to turn it on.
2. Everytime I reboot as soon as the home screen comes up it says that openhome had a problem and needs to be closed so I select forclose (my options are forceclose and report) Then after a second the home screen shows up, I see the the phone is mounting my sd card and my icons are all there but they are the generic android icons. If I click on any it says, this application is not installed. So I go into application manager and force close openhome again, and that restores it. Also any Widgets I had installed has the error 'problem loading widget' if I long press the screen to put a widget back, most of the Widgets aren't showing up to select. At least the ones that were running before the reboot. Any ideas? I've tried starting in safe mode and the home screen never comes up all I can access is the status bar on top.
And yes, open home is installed on the phone and not the SD

Hi!
I just flashed my first Android ROM The magnificent HyperdroidGBXv12 on my Telstra T9193 HD2 and it's working better out of the hack than an out of the box official ROM. Thanks to Pongster and all the developers that make this happen!
I am not technically inclined and I was going to go the SD route, but I knew I would not to be satisfied going half way. I wanted to go all the way with a NAND MAGLDR and ClockWorkMod build.
The performance and battery consumption is excellent. Everything's working except for the Auto Backlight feature but on the official thread it states that it is working with thanks to iamgpc.
So I flashed my HD2 back to the original ROM via the SD card boot method just to make sure, yes the Auto Backlight is working.
What am I missing here? What have I done wrong? What do I do to fix this?
Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks XDA developers!
Hmmm, my HyperdroidGBXv12 works with my TMOUS handset. I normally use fullbright but I just checked and it's working.
Hi digiholic thanks for your reply.
I can't figure why it wont work for me.. I'll try the HyperdroidCM7 to see how I go with that one.
Fixed!
Enable > Power Widget > add Brightness Control to homescreen > toggle through the brightness settings till you reach Auto Bright > Reboot > Delete widget > Done. Do not touch Auto Bright control from options menu.
For some reason playing around with Auto Brightness in the options menu disables it for me.
Hey guys, kinda of a weird question but I'll go for it. My power button is kind of sticking, so whenever I'll do something such as try to send a text message or browse the web, the screen will keep shutting off or bring up the shut down/restart options. Im running MIUI and have the trackpad wake on, so my question is, is there any way i could disable the power button? I know about editing system>usr>keylayout>glacier-keypad.kl however this was giving me problems still.
I know a lot of HTC devices power buttons like to recede so Im sure others may have this problem, but I searched the MT4G forums and couldn't find a solution. Thanks in advance for help!
