Hi!
I just flashed my first Android ROM The magnificent HyperdroidGBXv12 on my Telstra T9193 HD2 and it's working better out of the hack than an out of the box official ROM. Thanks to Pongster and all the developers that make this happen!
I am not technically inclined and I was going to go the SD route, but I knew I would not to be satisfied going half way. I wanted to go all the way with a NAND MAGLDR and ClockWorkMod build.
The performance and battery consumption is excellent. Everything's working except for the Auto Backlight feature but on the official thread it states that it is working with thanks to iamgpc.
So I flashed my HD2 back to the original ROM via the SD card boot method just to make sure, yes the Auto Backlight is working.
What am I missing here? What have I done wrong? What do I do to fix this?
Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks XDA developers!
Hmmm, my HyperdroidGBXv12 works with my TMOUS handset. I normally use fullbright but I just checked and it's working.
Hi digiholic thanks for your reply.
I can't figure why it wont work for me.. I'll try the HyperdroidCM7 to see how I go with that one.
Fixed!
Enable > Power Widget > add Brightness Control to homescreen > toggle through the brightness settings till you reach Auto Bright > Reboot > Delete widget > Done. Do not touch Auto Bright control from options menu.
For some reason playing around with Auto Brightness in the options menu disables it for me.

Hello guys,
I am trying to help a friend set up his Wildfire as he is new to android.
His biggest problem is the missed call / sms notification led. When he has a missed call, or a new sms the led notification lights up for five minutes and then turns off. Is it possible to leave the alert led on until he interacts with it?
The phone is brand new and still running the stock rom
Any help would be apreciated.

Just search for 'LED Me Know' on this Forum / GetJar. It should help.
I have used it personally, however, in the latest edition, theres a bug, that even after you have interacted with your phone, it keeps the notification LED on randomly. However, previously, I used v1.06, and, it worked flawlessly.

Thanks very much for responding,
I have tried both missed call and led me know, but they both time out after 5 minutes.
Am i missing something?
That's weird. Because I distinctly remember in my case, when I used it, the LED would keep blinking for hours at one go, till I checked the notification.
Did you try enabling 'Compatibility Mode' in the App Settings?

Hey 3xeno,
Thanks for responding.
Compatibility mode seems to be greyed out in my phone and i cannot select it.
Should the phone be rooted?
Thanks

No, it doesnt require root. One more thing comes to my mind, did you disable the stock ROM's option to flash the Notification LED?
Menu > Settings > Display > Notification LED
And GMail LED Notifications from GMail > Settings > More Settings
If, even after doing this, you cannot enable compatibility mode, refer the original thread of the app here and contact the developer, as he says:

Good Luck

Looking for a way to keep the screen always on.
I run a team in one the support classes at BSB and use the phone for the live timing screens. On the Windows 6.5 phone I had last year it was easy to change this option. Can't find a way to do it in Android and it'll be a pain in the arse if I have to tap the screen every 10 seconds. I'd like it as a toggle switch/widget if possible. Did find an app but they want money for it.
Anyone got any ideas?
Dazza
You can change the screen timeout in settings to 30mins...
Translated from spanish:
go to Settings - apps - development and there there is an option to keep the screen on.
The development option only works while phone is charging. Had noticed the option to change to 30 mins. But any way to do toggle switch/widget for it?
Cheers

Check your PM Dazza
yes , install extended controls widget from market .
has a toggle for keeping screen on / off ,
Sorted thanks to Mano1982!
Cheers

You cant on Stock. Shows how rushed or poorly thinked through the 4.2 update was in my book.
Edit: look for widgetsoid or something like that on play store though.
Or use CM10.1.
And configure your QS as you wish.
Stock quick settings wifi button is useless:silly:... what's the point in that? it's quicker just to go to main settings.
Here are the few tips you could use to reduce the battery consumption for your device. I use it for my Le1s and it helps me, hence I'm sharing it with you.
1) Uncheck "Scanning always available" in WiFi settings.
2) Avoid live wallpapers
3) Use manual brightness feature and uncheck auto brightness
4) Dont need vibration, then switch vibration and hepatic feedback off.
5) Set screen timeout to 15 seconds and increase it if necessary.
6) Switch off the hardware features like WiFi, Bluetooth, gps if not needed
7) Use the battery assistant feature frequently, it helps a lot.
8) Dont use too much of ram consuming widgets
9) Switch off auto-sync and enable it when needed
10) Keep your apps and system firmware updated and to the latest version.
11) Turn off voice commands if not needed, like Google Search commands, Cortana, etc.
12) Dont use app killers or ram optimizers, just swipe away the apps you don't need from the recent menu.
This guide is for people who dont know about the tips. Power users may know about it already.
Note: If you know some more tips, please post it here and I will update this thread with it giving you credits for it.

Hi all,
On one app, Business Card Reader (BCR), by Abbyy, the bottom of the screen is cutting off my access to the camera button. The only suggestion the developer had was to reinstall the app and to decrease the font size in Settings for the 6P. This did not work at all.
I am rooted running the latest stock build. A picture is attached.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Doc

Android OS has a feature to open the camera by double tapping the power button, although you may need to turn this option on. In Marshmallow I believe it's under settings / display. In Nougat it's under settings / gestures.

Thank you but the issue is accessing the camera from within the app.
I have fixed the issue by going into Settings > Display > Display Size and lowered the setting which has brought back the entire screen that I need to see.
