youtube buffers in stock 2.2 in 1X mode - Droid Incredible General

Since upgading to stock 2.2 Froyo youtube videos have started buffering on my HTC Incredible in 1X mode. Earlier while on stock 2.1 youtube videos used to play out without any buffering stop - even the lengthy ones used to play in one shot without any stops - have no issues with signal strength. Do I need to change VM Heap values to correct this, if so how.

Do you find Youtube jerky?

In high quality it is jerky- sometimes smooth but will get jerky.
is there a fix for this?
what rom are you using? you should probably complain there
you can probably get better results by playing the video after its fully buffered the whole file
overall like you, im not too imressed with youtube and video playback
HQ Youtube videos sometimes play jerky on my desktop with a high bandwidth connection. i wouldn't blame the X1, I'd blame the speed you are getting through your connection. Plus, there is a limit to the bitrate video, X1 can play.
I assume we are talking about HTC's Youtube app and not the slower official Youtube one. If so...
YES! It is incredibly jerky on high quality.
This is NOT an X1 hardware problem, a bandwith problem, or a buffering problem. Youtube high quality works perfectly on the R1A stock ROM. Ever since R2 (which is what I'm running on my X1a), and I'm guessing on custom ROMS based off R2 or R3 it no longer plays properly. Pausing and allowing to buffer the X1 does NOT fix the promlem, it only alleviate the problem slightly.
This is a software issue. Hopefully someone with the knowhow fixes this for us all.

Grizz is right. It should play smooth (at least on mine) after fully buffered.
are you sure its a buffering issue? even when i have enough buffered it is still playing jerky.
from my memory recollection, youtube works fine on r1a and r3a rom.
youtube comes in many forms
think I have 3½ ways to play youtube
and I don't use the offical one
youtube from the panel
youtubeplay
youtube from inside opera
½ if the streaming media thingy that came
with the phone that I never had success with

All of a sudden youtube is very slooow!

I have never had any problems since I have Duttys 6.5ROM(unlike 6.1 finale!). However from today the videos are becoming extremly slow to stream when I have Wifi connection. They will stream to approx 30-50% and then freeze and then go approx 50-53-56% etc. It is extremely slow. I have tried adjusting video playback to autoselect rather then high quality but still getting same problem. Incidently there is no problens when using internet,so not sure anything to do with connection. It seems the connection is stuttering.
Please help
New rom fixes it I believe
fixed now!
Somebody was downloading a movie on home PC !

Why hs there still audio stutter during youtube?

Hi
I have had my HD2 for 1 week now. I have noticed that when I have my Wifi connetion and am watching a youtube video, there is still stutter which continues until the video has fully streamed. This is exactly the same problem I had with the touch HD and this lingered until I changed to Duttys 6.5 ROM and then corrected. How do I stop this and will I have to wait for a custom ROM to develop? I find it strang that HTC hae allowed this to hapen twice.
Thanks
I havent noticed any problems with youtube on wifi or 3g. You tried enabling wireless n? ormade sure you dont have like 20 apps open in the background?
Yes, I did no 39 on hints and tweaks.
I get this problem all the time too, especially with windows media player. Even when I am on the tube and its in airoplane mode with 1 or 2 small programs running.

nexus s and video

Whenever I watch videos online or YouTube, the videos do not play smoothly. About every 7-10 seconds it will freeze for a second or 2 then pick up 2 seconds later. It is incredibly annoying and pretty much makes my NS useless for watching videos. Is this a common issue with the NS? Should I try to get a new one through warranty or do all NS have this problem. (Internet speed not the problem)
No problem here with YouTube over W-LAN and mobile connection.
Did the video preload fully or are these "lags" due buffering?

Vertical compression artifacts when watching 360 videos.

Hi guys, I'm facing a weird issue and I can't find a way to fix it.
I own a Nexus 6p since september 2016 and it was all fine and dandy until I started noticing green blocky compression artifacts on some youtube videos (standard 2D ones). I initially though it was a connection issue (wi-fi or data network). Then i tryed to use the phone as a VR display with Riftcat and Vridge but I got horrible artifacts on the video stream regardless of the transmission method or codec chosen, I tried both wi-fi and USB tethering.
Now seeing that the issue kept going I tried installing the Within app from Google store and downloaded the 360 stereoscopic movie "Invasion!" on my phone storage and played it.
Green blocky lines are there, and it's not a network issue since it is now an offline file. They tend to appear along the "meridians" of the virtual sphere on top of which the 3d video is projected (it's not a display fault since these bands are not in a fixed position on the display, they are in the movie).
It certainly looks like a codec issue, almost like my CPU can't keep up with the data provided by the video file or the data stream.
Also the problem doesn't show if I use a realtime VR app like the Carboard demo, so it's definitely something with videos.
I tried monitoring cpu frequency with Cool Tool and the frequency usually ranges between 960 MHz and 1444 MHz during playback.
Is there something I'm missing? This phone shouldn't be that weak in decompressing videos.
I've recently received the Android N 7.1.1 OTA update, but I'm full stock since I bought the phone.
Any help would be appreciated.
