How do you zoom in and out in the stock email app on the x10?
It is quite annoying with html emails and cause sometimes its zoomed in and I cant zoom out to check the whole mail at a glance.
Also noticed in the email app that when I try to move sidewards in any email that it isnt very responsive as like when browsing the web..this problem only occurs emails.

Hi,
Not sure if this is specific to the Hero or not, but I've started using the gmail app recently and there's a problem where it doesn't seem to be showing the full email and it appears truncated.
It doesn't happen to all messages, it just seems to be from successive emails from the same sender.
Has anyone experienced this?
Yes, it is Gmail (non-Hero) feature and you cannot turn it off. You should see the same clipping if you open the mail using a browser.
Odd! How am I supposed to see the email then?
Does anyboby know how to set some default text so it shows on the bottom of any emails you send on your x10? Also is there a way to cap the amount of emails you can recieve in your inbox?

Click to collapse
Not in the default Mail app... Try K-9 from android market.

Not in the default Mail app... And that really annoys me! Interaction gets very slow with 200 e-mails, and it will keep getting worse until I delete the account and add it again. However, K-9 from android market allows you to set how many e-mails to show in inbox etc.
Can you intergate this app with Timescape or does it only use the default android mail system?
Cheers
Timescape is limited to the default Mail app, I'm afraid... I hope SE will solve that later.
Personally, I set Mail to sync every hour, so that Timescape is updated. But instead of clicking on Timescape to read new mail, I open K-9. Not ideal, but better than having no e-mails in Timescape.
I would also recommend k9, much better than the in built email.
I switched as I found that I couldn't recover emails from the trash once in there (whats the point in the trash folder?).
Nice side effect is that when an email comes in the notification flashing light is purple rather than the green so I know if its email or text ... as they say 'small things...' )
I am using my work's email on here. I have some lag when opening the inbox sometimes, and often a message will take forever to load. it will be a blank screen and i wait about 10 seconds for the message to materialize. i tried making sure i don't have too many messages and that the messages aren't too big (10kb load size).
I also have random messages I compose or reply to, that get stuck in the outbox. no failure messages or issues with coverage, they just hang out there and never actually do send. and the thing is, i have no idea i found out by chance. it's not like you can do the conversation style email like gmail or see your sent messages in your inbox.
I too use exchange as am email client on the vibrant but I haven't had any problems with the actual client. I just can't find agood pdf app that hi can use to download attachments and view then with no problems.

Checkout TouchDown for better Exchange support...
Adobe has a native app.
My G1 also would forget to send mail. I'm not sure I've caught my Vibrant doing it. I never found a solution.

I'm still trying to figure out how to get my calendar to sync with my Exchange 2007 SP2 server.
I'm looking for a solution to make emails on my Galaxy S either Autofit to the screenwidth, or failing that, allow me to zoom out to achieve the same. (to match the default behaviour in the iphone app, or even in the Android browser)
I've tried both the Gmail, and Email clients provided, as well as K9, but HTML mails still appear 'zoomed' in.
Any tweaks, or other apps I could use?
Can we not zoom text within the e-mail apps? Double tapping and pinch/spread with 2 fingers does not do anything. Is that function not there? Have that problem with both exchange server e-mail as well as Gmail app.
You can't zoom, but you can change the text size. Go to Settings in the GMail app and then change Text Size.
I personally think that feature needs to be added. I get a lot of emails that I have to scroll all over the place in and it's annoying.
