how about someone developing an application that will give ripple effect when you touch the screen,'Microsoft Surface' like application...
hey guys,
i have a diamond touch and im really enjoying the various roms and customisation available. my question is.... is there a way to enable vibration / pulse on selection of an item on the touch screen?
(similar to the way the Touch HD and Samsung Tocco f480 does).

Take a look in Develop n Hacking, you will find a haptics tool.
I can't remember the name, sorry... VibrateShell?
I'm using an app called Touch Response on my diamond by snailslug. though i only use it together with the on screen SIP. but there are a few options that you can apply

yea i use touch response, it's great you can adjust by the ms of how long it vibraters. only thing is, sometimes it will vibrate like violently and longer than the others haha

My HTC HD T8285 has an Erratic touch screen,I can see letters highlight when typing but sometimes does not display in my sms , web etc.And when tapping on the screen on one icon,something else opens up or closes.Using a stock or flashed rom does not make a difference.The screen does reponse exactly where I touch it,but has a slow reponse or no response or just open up something else.The screen is not damaged.Any suggestions???? Have you checked your screen alignment?
Yes I have,I have to keep holding down the stylus over the cross until it moves on its own,if I just tap over the cross it just keeps starting over and over again at the end.
Sounds like a faulty screen, you should only have to tap. how long have you had it?
I think that theres somekinda fix at www.htc.com regarding slow response times --- a fix for touch hd

EDIT: just reread first post and understood that it happens on all roms -- maybe it is something to do with you HD version cuz I have HTC Touch HD T8282 and I dont have any probs like that!!

the jade hasn't got a g-sensor, so I would say no.
is there any way to get auto rotation for screen?
Since no sensor, No way for screen auto rotation.
Damn ! my touch panel i.e. Digitiser no longer works and for the time being do not have the budget to get it replaced.

.... Wondering ?.....I have been forced to flash TolgaMod v1.2 because this is the only ROM which enables to screen unlock by pressing the menu button on start-up.
