I used to have a problem with the SOD until i changed to my current radio. My current problem is whenever i start up a fresh build of android, it always freezes during the set up screen. After i restart and boot up android again, its works like new for a couple of hours and then completely shuts off. I dont think its like the SOD, when i try to turn the screen on nothing, not even the buttons light up. After another reset, all my widgets and apps i have on the home screen are reset. Anyone know whats going on here? I am running Energy ROM and shubcraft 1.5 but it seems to do the same thing regardless of android build. Also i should mention this is after i formated my sd card.

Ok. I am running CoreDroid V0.8 on my htc hd2. Everything is running great. The only problem is this is like my 4th time putting it on my phone. Reason being is that when my phone shuts off and I turn it back on, I can never get it to reboot back up. It gets stuck on the black htc screen and never comes up. Thus I have to remove battery and then reformat sd card and reinstall the Android. I need to know once and for all what to do to make sure I can reboot Android if ever I have to shut off my phone( i.e. system freeze, power loss, etc.)
I don't know if it is due to Android being installed (just installed, using Exceller MBL and darkstone SuperRAM Froyo, first time), but after rebooting from Android, the internal clock on the HD2 was set to Feb 2041 (which screws up my work enforced keylock & keylock history).
I've not seen this before on a soft reboot, and although it might be a coincidence, I'm surprised.
So - anyone else seen this?
If so, how do I stop it??
I guess only me?
last try - then I'll reboot again, and see what happens
If you go into winmobile, set the clock right and then turn it off and remove the battery for like 5 minutes, does it reset the clock also?
I've the same problem
i thoght that was android, but my bother has the same radio and same rom and it's clock is ok when he restart the phone.
When i use only wm the clock is ok, but now i've tryied to remove the battery for quite 5 min and then the clock was not right
it's the internal battery empty? what can i do in order to resolve the problem?
In my case I didn't do any thing - just fully charged up the battery in winmo, rebooted, booted into winmo and then started android.
Not had it since.
However, I did disable "automatic" date time settings in android, just to be certain....
Hey all,
I hope I am asking this in the right place, and that no one else has asked this question. When I boot into Android and I leave it off for a while (in standby), then sometimes either the phone or the screen will not come back on. Sometimes the keys light up and the screen gets power (I can tell the screen is illuminated, but it is still completely black), and other times nothing comes on at all, forcing me to reset the phone to boot into Android again. My phone is running mdeejay's rEVOlution version 2.3, and the installation is fresh. I am not sure if the problem exsists for other Android versions, but I am really liking the current installation; I don't want to change it unless I have to. What could be the issue?
Hi all,
I'm getting a very wierd error that started the other day when I was using the radio on Darkstone's SuperRAM Android build (not the NAND version). When turning on the radio in this build it automatically turns bluetooth on, after I was finished using it I switched off (and disabled bluetooth).
Ever since, if I try to use the phone with bluetooth off and the screen goes in to sleep mode, the phone freezes up completely (hardware button lights don't turn on either); I have to either use the hard reset button or pull the battery to get the phone to turn back on.
The wierd thing is, if I have bluetooth switched on, it works fine (but drains the battery a lot faster than normal). It is also not just related to android, I tried it in the windows mobile rom I was running (OzDroid) and have even converted over to Magldr and a NAND edition of Android and still get the same problem...
Any ideas!?
Same problem here.
I know that I used Pocket Mechanic to repair my registry and after that it started to happen. Hard reset and the problem still persists.
Update
Problem solved!!! It was SpriteBackup Restore Settings:

I seem to have the most bizarre issue that started happening last night. Ive been running XNote v3 and AEL kernel fine for a long time now.
Whenever my screen turns off (when i hit the power button or the timer runs out to turn screen off) The phone will after x minutes, either auto reboot or turn off (without shutdown animation)
It then remains off black screen and you do not know this unless you try use it again as you cannot power it back on at all, no sound and the phone is off as if you call you get voicemail.
Anyone any ideas what it might be?
I cant work out if it is software/ hardware related as nothing has changed software config wise and i have not done any updates.
I was thinking of maybe going to a stock kernel and see how that lives.
Its very easy to replicate and the only way to bring the phone back to life is to take the battery out.
If i am using the phone its perfectly fine, no reboots, freezes etc. Its only when screen is off.
OK since no one replied back but a lot of people viewed i thought i would provide an update.
Since factory resetting it
changing battery
wireless charging
removing sim
removing SD card
changing rom
changing kernel
changing back to stock
remove root
boot loader etc
all failed! a new replacement motherboard fixed the problem. i am unsure what caused the fault as it was working perfectly for over a month.
