Quadrant scores... - Galaxy S I9000 General

please post your quadrant scores so we can compare!

Quadrant doesn't mean much
even when you hit 2000+ score, your device still performs about the same in real life.
think about it

not sure i agree - after lag fix, my quadrant scores jumped up to 2109 to 2312 (e test ran)
and i notice Market opens now almost instantly, same with youtube
other apps, all appear to be opening faster, some only slightly faster while others i can major improvement

either way quadrant is definitely miz and we need something better. It's like looking at 3D mark scores, sites like Tomshardware and Anandtech might post them, but they specifically state how superfluous they are.

Exactly my though

Also, quadrant only tests specific things.. Benchmarks are a tool, and it's easy to optimise for them, with much less gains to everything else..

I wish people would stop posting quadrant requests everywhere. Any developer can tell you they don't always mean much..

Do you even know why this happens? It just shows that the overall score is meaningless.
Yes, the lagfix makes the phone more responsive but you can compare it to other scores with the fix in place. You COULD get Quadrant Advanced and compare all the other bits (not I/O).

I got 910 with everything stock

I've been reading people say theyrebgetting low scores for the ota froyo so I decided to try it myself and I got 2200..ithe only I did was add a theme. I dont. Really care for quadrant scores but phone phone has become so much more responsive since I updated.

Ya, I'm getting 2k + also. Linpack is also running very fast with best of 342ms. I'm impressed. It's not only scoring great in benchmarks, but also as you mentioned very responsive.
Which versions did you guys flash, and which theme?
Please provide details about your setup (ROM/theme/package) so we can all try to reproduce your results.
Thanks
It's been said time and time again.
Quadrant is an awful benchmark. Do not use it.
I scored 2597 on Quadrant using a DK17 ROM with a stock clocked CPU about a week ago.
So please, stop using Quadrant.
Yet another post that should be in the GENERAL FORUM this has nothing to do with development.

Let me guess, the Christmas (or another) theme based on Quantum 1.5 ROM? That ROM had a specific configuration to explicitly display the futility of quadrant scores.

Linpack scores on stock xoom after 3.0.1

My score in linpack are now around 35 sin e I updated....that's a drop of 10 to 15 points from before the update. Anyone else notice a drop in linpack?
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk
Do you have flash installed?
Also, what app do you use to check the linpack? [edit] nevermind. I found it.
33.614.
3.0.1 with flash installed.
36.14 when I uninstalled flash.
I know it's the same range, but it's strange how everything seems faster without flash installed. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it twice today to see if it made a difference, and I think I'm going to leave it uninstalled until next week.
Speaking of Linpack, how does the iPad2 score this:

First thing I did was unistall flash and then reboot....no good. Then I unintalled most of my apps, reboot, retest, same results. Using linpack app from market.

Does your Linpack score somehow have something to do with how your Xoom performs, real world?

True, but that cannot be the only thing at work here. I mean the iPad2 is scoring 5x better than the Xoom in linpack. I highly doubt that the hardware is 5x better than the Xoom, especially when the iPad2's CPU is only clocked at 900mhz.

Anandtech. I would trust their numbers over any other site I can think of. They are legit. You can go check out the numbers in their preview of the iPad2.

AnTutu Benchmark

I know some of you think benchmarks are wack but I use them from time to time to see if im gaining any better performance from different roms and kernels. Used to use Quadrant all the time but a friend told me about AnTutu on the market. Don't know if any of you have used it, but its free and im kind digging it over Quadrant. Try it out if you haven't. Trigger + Tigersblood = Winning
Thanks will check it out.
Here's a link for anyone wanting to try it out.
Just tried it out. Got a score in the low 1500s. Seems pretty good, although it's kind of depressing not seeing my phone at the top of the list like it always was in Quadrant
Thanks for the heads up

Lol yeah im used to seeing my score at the top too. This bench gives out some useful info tho. More than the free version of quadrant. Don't know if I wanna pay 24 bucks for the pro version of quadrant to see how that is. Sure its a lot better than the free version. Im going to stick with this for a bit until I find something better.
Trigger + Tigersblood = Winning
quadrant pro is bull does nothing but give "detailed" stats which means the same thing this does for free, the bar thing is colored and it gives GPU CPU etc.
After saying all that, i should admit...
I have Quadrant Advanced...
I'll check this out in a sec. thanks for sharing!
I ran this benchmark a couple weeks ago and scored 2081.
I re-ran the benchmark after the recent update, and I just scored 3254 total, which ranks me 30th in the world. Wow!

Looking great, mine isn't close to yours. really weird.
Not that i have lags or something phone is working great but the benchmarks are show up low.
its really good that SE learned to remove FPS cap from the kernel... our X10s lag like hell... even though they have very capable hardware components...

remove junk apps... stop/kill unnecessary apps (using taskmanager apps)
btw on X10 we were able to reach 2800+ quadrant score
but that was using the data2sd "hack"
normally we get ~1600 on X10

60FPS is standard for a smooth experience, I can hardly see the point in it going over that.
was just curius and posted my benchmark result
terribly low IO
Attached my score. Notice how the IO is the lowest I got. My CPU even beats the Atrix 4G (strange). I wonder how can the IO be improved?
My experience on the phone is really great, no lags at all, everything is fast including stress test of Temple Run Brave. Funny right?

Quadrant Benchmark for Galaxy Note - 4308 (and probably higher)

Perhaps the Quadrant Utility tool for Benchmarking needs an upgrade - the screen size is too large yet the speed test (FPS) is hidden under the screen's bottom partly.
The note must be pretty quick!
Anyways - I scored a benchmark of 4013! This was achieved after ensuring that task manager had all apps exited and memory cleared.
Update: On my third benchmark in a row I got 4308. You may check my blogs later today as I upload all the performance images.
the note is pretty good. samsung did a good job of optimising the drivers, and the GPU is surprisingly more powerful than my atrix despite the higher resolution.
Quadrant doesn't need an upgrade - it needs throwing in the bin!
It's a deeply flawed benchmark that tells you pretty much nothing about the overall performance of your device.
Regards,
Dave
I got a score of 4600 using an Interactive governor on a kernel I rolled. This makes it awesomely faster than my paltry Nexus One . Shame Quadrant is pretty meaningless as a cross-device benchmark though....
