The myTouch only allows me to get into bootloader (no recovery) and won't let me make changes. Was running fine until I changed radio to 6.35.10.18 using engineering SPL 2010. Any ideas suggestions?

I haven't used my magic for a long time since I've moved on to nexus, but if I recall correctly, you're phone is not supposed to use 6.35 radio. I could be wrong, can you at least get into fastboot? If not, sounds bricked to me. If it works, then it's because your radio doesn't correspond with your SPL.
From memory, 6.35 radio goes with 1.76.x SPL, 3.22 or 2.22 (i dont remmeber the 2.xx radio) = 1.33.x SPL

As long you have bootloader/fastboot you can still use and fix your phone... Just dont do anything before you get help!

I am using myTouch 3G 1.2 with Headphone jack.
After flashing the 6.35.10.18 radio I panicked that I had lost recovery. When that happened, I tried to flash the 1.76.xx SPL, but
I accidentally flashed the Perfected SPL 1.33.0013 instead.
Now, I can't change either the SPL or the radio. It's a head scratcher at this point. Any help is greatly, greatly appreciated. I hope that this thing isn't toast.

EDIT: OK, follow these steps and you should be good. The only issue you might have is making the GoldCard since you can't get into your phone. I'm guessing you already have one since you flashed the radio, so use the same one. If not, then you'll need to borrow an Android phone from a friend and make the GoldCard using it. You can only use the 2.xx radio that comes stock with the myTouch 1.2 or else your ROM either won't load or your touchscreen won't work or you'll really brick you phone. That guide will get you to where you need to be.

Still having trouble with this.
I followed the steps over again (which basically was the original root process) and still no dice. It doesn't want to accept the Sappimg. Tried changing goldcard and making new one. Can't change radio. I think the device is partially bricked. You don't have any other suggestions, do you? Would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. Go into fastboot usb mode by going into fastboot mode first (describe the exact error message) and then plug the phone into the usb. This will allow you to flash a new set of radio, SPL, and recovery.

I'm guessing you root using the goldcard method and missed the most important step. You've got to flash the original radio/bootloader after installing your custom recovery. Let me get to a computer and I'll let you know how to fix.
Alright, try going to this thread and go from Step 5 thru Step 9. You don't really need to do the part about downloading the original radio and re-flashing it if you don't want as you've already got the correct radio installed.

Its not because of the perfected SPL, he's probably bricked because he flashed that 3.22 radio.

If he can see fastboot then he is NOT brick!
Just use the goldcard method with the right sappimg and he should be good to go.

hi guys, i have a Fender Mytouch - which was running roms nicely till i booted back into recovery then selected restart/reboot and it went straight to the HBOOT screen - i press back to go to fastboot but nothing happens, i tried all key combos to get into recovery or fastboot but nothing. Yes, if you have an engineering SPL, which you do not. You'll need to flash a stock ROM.
do not flash an eng spl. Our phones do not run on anything other then stock radio and spl. Also, even though it is a 32a board, only g1 /32b roms and recoveries work.
What happened to you makes no sense unless your leaving something out or tried to flash an ota Rom.
Take battery out, put it back in /hold home and power, should go into recovery. If not, I would say follow my guide in Sig to start over but you'll probably screw up on flashing the radio and spl.

lol Oops Didnt catch that. HEs right, you have the G1 radio going. Ours should be .12 at the end... I think lol. I havent had to mess with it for a while since Universal Androot works now. But again, you may want to start over if you know what your doing. Otherwise, time to go get a replacement because flashing the radio and spl, your probably going to brick it anyway.

Thanks encouraging as your words are i didnt do anything / screw anything up all i did was reboot into recovery from the sparks rom then reboot/restart and it gave me this problem !!!

Umm..what?
Your radio/SPL are fine. As for your situation, did you root using the goldcard method? If you did, try doing it over and see if it'll let you into fastboot after loading the engineering sappimg.

hey guys , i got into recovery now and wiped everything then flashed a rom but its stuck on the rom boot screen now, cannot boot into the rom
I just flashed [MT3G 1.2/LE Fender] CR_Slide2G1_v1 and it works ! My LE is back up and running

Some roms take 10-15 min to boot up so you just gota have patience .
Also, any roms built with a Cyan kernel after 5.0.8 will work on our phones also.
IS the location working on that rom for you?
When it first cam eout I used it for months with no problems.. but then I tried to go back a few days ago and the weather/clock will not find me.

You wont belive it but this f***in ohone has just gone and done the same problem again.....
I was charging it then powered off the device then turned it on after 30mins and its now stuck on the HBOOT screen AGAIN - grrrrrr i cant belive this thing

Without a goldcard your not going to be able to go that route. If you've still got your Hero, you can use it to make the goldcard, or any Android powered device for that matter. Maybe just wait it out and see if it just starts working as before?
i have a successful goldcard.img from my Hero will take be ok to use for the Fender you thinks ?
damm-it just tried that and SAPPIMG gives an Incorrect Model ID - because im using the Hero goldcard

I have a mytouch 3G. The Magic 32B and It is running stock android 2.2.1 but rooted. I have been trying to flash it with CM6(is there something better?) and It doesnt seem to work. Everytime I try to flash it I end up getting the boot loop where it just keeps booting up the "Mytouch 3G" image. Hopefully someone here can help because stock froyo is really slow on the mytouch 3G.
Are you wiping (factory reset) the phone before you flash the CM rom?
Changing ROMs requires a wipe, else you end up with the symptom you described. Settings and data won't match between custom ROMs and the phone won't know what to do.

Yes, I wipe the data and the cache before I try to flash but I get to continuous boot loop problem
My guess is that you have a perfected SPL. Go into your bootloader (power + vol down). At the top if it reads "s - on" you won't be able to flash ROMs successfully. You will need an engineering hboot which will give you "s - off" status in your bootloader. If my suspicions are correct, you can do everything root gives you EXCEPT flash system ROMs. The bootloader's security is preventing it.
I held down vol down and power and got the following:

I'm a bit new to the root/flashing rom so not sure what all that means.
I had the same problem with my wifes phone. I had to downgrade the radio to the ota radio update from cyanogens site. From what I read the spl needs to be updated in order to have the 2.2 radio. Hope this helps.

Honestly, if you're that new to hacking android, i wouldn't mess around with flashing radios and SPL. You're bound to brick your phone. Do some research. Search a lot and read. Basically, your specs show that you are on a perfected SPL and therefore won't be flashing ROMs. You will need to flash an engineering SPL and downgrade your radio to flash most Tom's.
Damn.. That sucks.. Like I said the stock version of froyo is really slow and seems to freeze up a lot on my phone. Thought a different rom would help it..

Try to install new SPL, Radio and Hboot with Radio Switcher: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=794450
Enter Fastboot, plug in USB, start the Radio Switcher and flash the files. Try couple of times and in different order if it doesn't work at first.

I have had similar problems before but when trying to un-root. I successfully fixed mine by using the ENG. SPL 1.33.2010. All attempts at using my Goldcard failed (the same goldcard I rooted the phone with I know it's good) so I flashed the ENG. SPL and everything worked. Hopefully your ENG SPL is functional your radio and original SPL will be restored when you fastboot the SAPPIMG.zip.
Look at your SAPPIMG you can't use the .nbh for the older magics.

Moving to General.
Start at step 4. I'm assuming you still have ADB installed.
Should have just left my phone alone, it was working fine the way it was. Anyway, I flashed a bad SPL/RADIO combo and things just don't work anymore. I can get on Fastboot, but when I try to use it it says "remote not allowed," horrible. So, I can't boot into recovery or regular. I'm stuck with fastboot.
I've read multiple old threads about this, but I don't know if there is any new method to fixing it? Besides getting a new phone?
Hi, I try to help if i can, it will be good if you let members know your phone details like eg. 32A or 32B o fender 1.2, current radio and spl. What you did to flash the radio and spl. Do you have androidsdk on your computer coz you can push thru adb while your phone is in fastboot mode. Can also try searching using the keyword "unbrick" thru the general thread. Hope this helps.

I have the sdk and other various tools. I flashed the wrong combo and tried to repair with sappimg.zip. It restored me to the current settings above.

sounds like your have a Magic 32a. You flashed a perfected SPL of 1.33.0013 which is only for 32b/mytouch 1.2 32a hybrids. This SPL does not have ability for fastboot. You will need to either flash your new SPL via recovery or via Goldcard.
I'm going to try the goldcard method.
Update: How would I get the CID for my phone through Fastboot?

You can't get the SD card CID from fastboot. Man did you screw up. First and foremost you have a myTouch 1.2 which there is a stickied thread on the first page about. Secondly, you screwed yourself trying to use the sappimg. You had an engineering SPL before so you could have just flashed the correct SPL/radio combo from fastboot and would have been good to go. Now you'll have to make a goldcard and flash a new sappimg that will flash back a 32A SPL thatbis compatible with that radio, and then flash the correct ones. I've only seen that done once by mumilover but he hasn't been around for a while and I don't know when he'll be back. Still go ahead and make the goldcard. You'll need to borrow a working Android phone from someone to do that part.
