I think Im going to brick my phone help

Ok i was trying update spl and radio well stuff went bad now i downloaded that app thing flashed everything now my phone wont go into Amon Ra or start up it just says htc magic.
ok i was trying to update radio and spl and install a new rom i guess i did it wrong so now i cant boot my phone or go into recovery only fastboot. im getting really mad i downloaded the radio app thing and I'v been messing with that changing the radio,recovery,and spl nothing also every time i try to do the sappimg it frezzes on the system i think thats the first one but then i finally got it to update then it froze again on radiov2 please help me

ricmiester, as far as I remember CPLD-13 is for MyTouch 3G Fender / LE, which means you flashed the wrong radio and spl. Make a goldcard and use the rooting tutorial at the unlockr (google it) to fix it.

i can put it into fastboot and thats really it.it boots but stays on htc magic and its not letting me go into recovery also when i try and change the radio it doesnt let me

No. Since you were able to flash the wrong sappimg (congrats, by the way), I'm guessing it's working just fine. Follow the rooting tutorial at the unlockr.

ahhah ok ill try it again ill massage back with progress in a minute

ok i put the sappimg on the memory card then fastbooted it when i clicked the trackball it froze on system its stuck unziping

Follow this tutorial by DonJuan692006 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=734617 starting with "II. Flash the Sappimg file". Are you sure it froze and it's not just thinking?

What SPL and Radio do you have now? Is it still S-OFF? If so, try only flashing the hboot, radio and recovery - steps 4-7. I honestly have no idea what's going wrong...

Well, the good thing is you still have S-OFF, so try what I said.

my phone died on the fastboot flash recovery recovery.img but got past radio but now s-on is now on

WTF? What do you mean "died"?! Are you at least back to the stock radio and SPL? Does your phone boot into recovery (hold down home and press power) or into normal mode?
If you're back to stock radio and SPL you should now be able to start the tutorial once again and it shouldn't fail on flashing sappimg this time. At least I hope so

Okay, great! Now you should be running your stock SPL and radio (which means S-ON), but you can go into the modded recovery by holding down home and pressing power.
If you still have the 1.33.2010 SPL and 3.22.20 radio you need to flash the stock ones, otherwise no ROM will work!
As for a ROM, I really don't know which one would be best for you, but you can check out the ROM bible at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=682243 - last section of the first post is for your phone - MT3G 1.2 / LE Fender.

Bricked?

The myTouch only allows me to get into bootloader (no recovery) and won't let me make changes. Was running fine until I changed radio to 6.35.10.18 using engineering SPL 2010. Any ideas suggestions?

I haven't used my magic for a long time since I've moved on to nexus, but if I recall correctly, you're phone is not supposed to use 6.35 radio. I could be wrong, can you at least get into fastboot? If not, sounds bricked to me. If it works, then it's because your radio doesn't correspond with your SPL.
From memory, 6.35 radio goes with 1.76.x SPL, 3.22 or 2.22 (i dont remmeber the 2.xx radio) = 1.33.x SPL

I can get in to fastboot, just can't change the radio.

As long you have bootloader/fastboot you can still use and fix your phone... Just dont do anything before you get help!

I am using myTouch 3G 1.2 with Headphone jack.
After flashing the 6.35.10.18 radio I panicked that I had lost recovery. When that happened, I tried to flash the 1.76.xx SPL, but
I accidentally flashed the Perfected SPL 1.33.0013 instead.
Now, I can't change either the SPL or the radio. It's a head scratcher at this point. Any help is greatly, greatly appreciated. I hope that this thing isn't toast.

EDIT: OK, follow these steps and you should be good. The only issue you might have is making the GoldCard since you can't get into your phone. I'm guessing you already have one since you flashed the radio, so use the same one. If not, then you'll need to borrow an Android phone from a friend and make the GoldCard using it. You can only use the 2.xx radio that comes stock with the myTouch 1.2 or else your ROM either won't load or your touchscreen won't work or you'll really brick you phone. That guide will get you to where you need to be.

Still having trouble with this.
I followed the steps over again (which basically was the original root process) and still no dice. It doesn't want to accept the Sappimg. Tried changing goldcard and making new one. Can't change radio. I think the device is partially bricked. You don't have any other suggestions, do you? Would be greatly appreciated.

Fender Mytouch wont boot a ROM or Recovery or Fastboot - pls help

hi guys, i have a Fender Mytouch - which was running roms nicely till i booted back into recovery then selected restart/reboot and it went straight to the HBOOT screen - i press back to go to fastboot but nothing happens, i tried all key combos to get into recovery or fastboot but nothing. Completly stuck on this HBOOT screen :-(

please ive tried to look other posts but they all can get into fastboot i cant, can someone help i didnt flash any spl or anything but 32a/32b roms over the last month - oh and it was running recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.6.2G before this happened

Is there a way to flash a recovery image from the HBOOT screen ? I really dont know what the fook happened - grrrr crazy

please can one of the smart guys on here give me assistance - been trying to look for the solotuion for 3 hours now

Yes, if you have an engineering SPL, which you do not. You'll need to flash a stock ROM.

do not flash an eng spl. Our phones do not run on anything other then stock radio and spl. Also, even though it is a 32a board, only g1 /32b roms and recoveries work.
What happened to you makes no sense unless your leaving something out or tried to flash an ota Rom.
Take battery out, put it back in /hold home and power, should go into recovery. If not, I would say follow my guide in Sig to start over but you'll probably screw up on flashing the radio and spl.

lol Oops Didnt catch that. HEs right, you have the G1 radio going. Ours should be .12 at the end... I think lol. I havent had to mess with it for a while since Universal Androot works now. But again, you may want to start over if you know what your doing. Otherwise, time to go get a replacement because flashing the radio and spl, your probably going to brick it anyway.

Thanks encouraging as your words are i didnt do anything / screw anything up all i did was reboot into recovery from the sparks rom then reboot/restart and it gave me this problem !!!

Umm..what?
Your radio/SPL are fine. As for your situation, did you root using the goldcard method? If you did, try doing it over and see if it'll let you into fastboot after loading the engineering sappimg.

I just flashed [MT3G 1.2/LE Fender] CR_Slide2G1_v1 and it works ! My LE is back up and running
i really dont know why that happened stuck on the Hboot screen

Some roms take 10-15 min to boot up so you just gota have patience .
Also, any roms built with a Cyan kernel after 5.0.8 will work on our phones also.
IS the location working on that rom for you?
When it first cam eout I used it for months with no problems.. but then I tried to go back a few days ago and the weather/clock will not find me.

You wont belive it but this f***in ohone has just gone and done the same problem again.....
I was charging it then powered off the device then turned it on after 30mins and its now stuck on the HBOOT screen AGAIN - grrrrrr i cant belive this thing

So now im completey stuck again - if this happens everything i charge this thing then thats not gonna be cool.

Without a goldcard your not going to be able to go that route. If you've still got your Hero, you can use it to make the goldcard, or any Android powered device for that matter. Maybe just wait it out and see if it just starts working as before?

i have a successful goldcard.img from my Hero will take be ok to use for the Fender you thinks ?

damm-it just tried that and SAPPIMG gives an Incorrect Model ID - because im using the Hero goldcard
damm i dont know what else to try

so a couple of days ago i accidently flashed wrong radio and spl to my mytouch. I've created a gold card but everytime im in fastboot it never picks up the SAPPIMG.IMG it always says."Loading no Image." so what do i have to do get it back to stock everything? and yes i've googled multiple threads

Try to install new SPL, Radio and Hboot with Radio Switcher: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=794450
Enter Fastboot, plug in USB, start the Radio Switcher and flash the files. Try couple of times and in different order if it doesn't work at first.

I have had similar problems before but when trying to un-root. I successfully fixed mine by using the ENG. SPL 1.33.2010. All attempts at using my Goldcard failed (the same goldcard I rooted the phone with I know it's good) so I flashed the ENG. SPL and everything worked. Hopefully your ENG SPL is functional your radio and original SPL will be restored when you fastboot the SAPPIMG.zip.
Look at your SAPPIMG you can't use the .nbh for the older magics.

Start at step 4. I'm assuming you still have ADB installed.

Hi, I try to help if i can, it will be good if you let members know your phone details like eg. 32A or 32B o fender 1.2, current radio and spl. What you did to flash the radio and spl. Do you have androidsdk on your computer coz you can push thru adb while your phone is in fastboot mode. Can also try searching using the keyword "unbrick" thru the general thread. Hope this helps.

Your not bricked. Need all your information from fastboot.

I have the sdk and other various tools. I flashed the wrong combo and tried to repair with sappimg.zip. It restored me to the current settings above.

sounds like your have a Magic 32a. You flashed a perfected SPL of 1.33.0013 which is only for 32b/mytouch 1.2 32a hybrids. This SPL does not have ability for fastboot. You will need to either flash your new SPL via recovery or via Goldcard.

I'm going to try the goldcard method.
Update: How would I get the CID for my phone through Fastboot?

You can't get the SD card CID from fastboot. Man did you screw up. First and foremost you have a myTouch 1.2 which there is a stickied thread on the first page about. Secondly, you screwed yourself trying to use the sappimg. You had an engineering SPL before so you could have just flashed the correct SPL/radio combo from fastboot and would have been good to go. Now you'll have to make a goldcard and flash a new sappimg that will flash back a 32A SPL thatbis compatible with that radio, and then flash the correct ones. I've only seen that done once by mumilover but he hasn't been around for a while and I don't know when he'll be back. Still go ahead and make the goldcard. You'll need to borrow a working Android phone from someone to do that part.
