Hi. I have a really big problem. I cant make my spica boot with the EndCall key. Few days ago i was caught by a storm and i shut it down immediately, but it was too late. The day after the accident ive managed to boot it up and everything was going fine until 2 days ago when i realised that my end call key isnt working. Today my phone had something and rebooted, but stuck at bootlogo. I had to remove the battery. Since then i cant boot it.
PS: i was at the shop where i bought the phone the day after the accident to get it repaired (the back key needs to be pressed harder after what happened), but they told me that its water damage and i dont have guarantee for that.

hi
my omina 7 of 1 month is broken.
A few weeks ago it wouldnt boot and gave the screen indicating
the phone needs to be plugged into the pc, it then booted ok.
Yesterday it gave the same message but by the time i got it home
the message was gone.
Now it will not boot, it simply cycles through the samsung logo, the three network logo , then back to the samsung logo.
Will be taking it back to the three shop tonight.
is there a way of hard resetting the phone using the buttons?
I have only found info on hard reset from within the OS, which obviously i now cannot get to.
has anyone else had this problem
The only similar problem i found was with a focus
was on the windowsphonesecrets website under the heading restoration error
to hard reset the focus press the power, volume & camera buttons all together. that might do it.
Have you tried taking the battery out of the phone? Heard from someone that that solved the problem...
yes tried taking the battery out
tried it without the sim
let the battery completely drain and tried again
the hard reset button combination didnt work either
just constantly cycling between the samsung and three network logos
three have now sent it off for repair ....
I have a very similar problem. My phone randomly rebooted itself but now it sticks on the Samsung Omnia 7 logo. I've tried removing the battery but nothing.
Is there a Safe Mode I can boot into?
Damn looks like I have the same problem. Was playing a game.Phone rebooted on its own, all I get is the Samsung Omnia 7 screen.
Tried a Hard Reset. I get the options pop up for about 2 seconds asking if I want to format. If I am quick enough to press the Home button nothing happens it just switches off.
Did you try to flash the ROM ?
Me?
No?
Download mode was the only mode that seemed to be recognised by my PC.If it wasn't in warranty I would maybe have tried that, but as it is in warranty I will let T-Mobile deal with it.
my repaired samsung was returned mid january
a few weeks later and the same thing has happened again...
phone froze, switched it off , now will not boot again
it is definitely the same hand set or at least the same outer casing
the bill said it had some parts replaced
I wonder what caused this issue?
I had similar problem and this is how I solved it:
Make sure your Device is switched off (remove and reinsert the battery)
1. Press and hold the Camera, Volume Down, and Power buttons simultaneously.
2. Release Power when the phone vibrates, but continue to hold down Camera and Volume Down.
3. Release Camera and Volume Down when the Format prompt is displayed on screen.
4. Press Windows key twice to confirm the hard reset.
Enjoy your phone now
add 1 to the list, mine is doing thin, formatting doesnt help, reflashing doesnt help.
unless i can find a fix, im without a phone for 15 days while tmob plays with it
any progress?
Since applying the update that Samsung release yesterday I'm having the same problem...
Format didn't work, installing 'older' firmwares (I8700BSEJK1, I8700XENJK1 and I8700DBTJK1) didn't solve any issue
Anybody with more ideas?
I've also had this issue... I think it was caused by forcing the nodo update. Now I've updated it normally using this guide

I hope now the problem is solved.
Hello,
I had been using my i9500 for quite a while now, with no issues.
rooted, Hassan rom , Philz Kernel, worked flawlessly until yesterday.
suddenly my phone started rebooting indefinitely, not entering recovery or download modes.
I tried mashing the buttons a little, and i got to the download mode "Warning" screen (unable to go any further) without holding my power button - meaning only by holding both home and volDown keys.
anyway, this lead me to believe my power button is malfunctioning, yet i can still normally press it (Clicking as usual, as if there is no physical damage) and I did not drop or damage my phone in any way.
all of the online threads are regarding phones stuck on boot animation, yet mine is flashing the "Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500" white over black screen (before the boot animation) and doesnt reach boot animation.
i want to believe my data is still reachable as i have not made any backups lately, this is why I came here.
if anyone has encountered any similar issue, please shed some light as this is the first time i had been unable to solve a "boot loop".
thanks in advance!
(ps, phone is still stuck on the loop, i let it keep doing so overnight to let the battery die, plugged it back in to no avail)

Hi mate
I sounds a lot like a power button problem , symptoms are similar to other cases , even if power button clicks does not mean is working .... take it to a local service center a have it replace.
Data should be fine.

Great mate.
Good luck
My GT-i9500 just started this same issue less than an hour ago.
I have taken the battery out and I am hoping this will help. Since I never turn the phone off the power button doesn't get used that much. At the most it might get used once a month.
Well I am not sure if this was the reason for it working but I put the battery back in and rocked the power button back and forth. Now its booted properly. Will keep and eye on it, just a pity it would give issues a few days before Christmas. Repair centers won't be open until early Jan.

While waiting for the lab to open (sunday) i started flicking my phone a little more violently (upon the acceptable amount of strength), and now i made it boot (!!!).
the current status is the power button is not working, i am carefully navigating to titanium backup... hope i can get a Nand backup aswell, but that's just being greedy. thank god for Philz touch recovery (no power no love on recovery)
Hello mate...

Hi,
I bought Lenovo Zuk Z1 from the first flash sale in India on 19th May, 2016.
After a call, the touch screen gets frozen completely and I have to restart every time when this happens. At this time, the buttons do work, but the touch screen doesn't respond and there is no way to get out of there except restarted it by pressing the power+volume up+volume down buttons together.
I was looking for any system updates but they weren't there.
This has happened 5-6 times with me till now. Have given the phone for replacement. Hoping that the same issue wouldn't occur with the replaced one.
zuk 1 hungs
bought phone 2 days back from amazon,
zuk1 is suk1 . hangs when recive calls, don't know what to do,
help to resolve this,
I decided to start a thread because I noticed there were multiples about this issue. So 3 days ago I was on Facebook when my phone randomly froze. I pushed the power button, and that's when it began bootlooping. I instantly tried booting into recovery with no success. I was hopeful, however, because I could still access the bootloader. I got on my computer and began researching the issue and steps I could take to fix it. I tried every method out there and was unsuccessful. I ended up buying a Pixel today off Craigslist and am loving it so far. So anyway since my Pixel came with the OEM charger, and I had been using a non-oem ever since I had my 6P, I decided to plug in the OEM and see what happens. Within the first hour my 6P began to get very hot, almost to the point where I couldn't even hold it in my hand. Keep in mind the phone was still consistently boot looping the whole time. So I decided to unplug it. Well I left it sitting and went about my business and when I came back to my bed I noticed it was doing the Google boot animation!!!! I started freaking out! After it booted up I finished the tutorial stuff and just let it sit on the home screen for a second. I noticed the battery was low so I figured I would plug the charger back up and let it charge. Well in the time it has taken me to write this post, it just started boot looping again... Lol. So I just unplugged the charger AGAIN, to see if it will boot up again. To me, it seems like there might be a hardware issue with my battery. Anyway, my 6P was rooted and running nitrogen OS (wasn't running the latest build but was 7.1.)
what are the exact symptoms? and does it boot into bootloader and recovery if not what is it physically doing?

As of now it is still boot looping and no it doesn't boot into recovery. Only symptoms I've noticed is the phone starts to get extremely hot when I plug in the OEM charger that came with my Pixel. I figured they were the same so that's why I decided to use it since it was OEM.
I had a 6p that bootlooped eternally couldnt access boot or recovery, I sent it in and they sent a new one. Board was damaged.
I also had a nexus 5 that bootlooped and it turned out to be a bad power botton. the internal connection was broken so it would get power and lose power all in the same second, off and on but too fast to see other than seeing a bootlooping device. that was fixed with a new power button which had to be soldered on.
if not on warranty you could take to a cell phone repair shop maybe they might be able to fix the issue.

It is under warranty, but the sad part is that I no longer have the receipt for it. I got the phone off Craigslist and the guy gave me the original box and receipt but I managed to lose it. I haven't been able to get it to fully boot back up again since last night. I'm not that worried about it anymore because I already have a new phone, but I wouldn't mind if it were to some how fix itself lol.

my first bootloop years ago i thought the same.
it wont fix itself. its not a software isssue because youd be able to at least boot into bootloader. it sucks to hear the truth but thats the truth.
its a hardware issue and you could take it to a repair shop because they will inspect and fix. small drops that dont harm the device can ultimately cause small breaks in the solder joints so who knows what is wrong without inspection
Right I feel silly, knowing this I just couldn't resist trying to fix my "phone", so I've bought a S7 Edge from eBay from a trusted company with a 14 day refund which is good right?
We'll I couldn't rest as the phone was going into boot loops, i.e booting once every 5 times, going into the black screen of death with blue LED.(Had to wait for the battery to drain to 0%) https://youtu.be/K9T_UF-_5ho (Even though it booted at the end after a minute of use it crashed and went back into a boot loop and crashed and then it was fine for like an hour)
It would get stuck if I went to stock recovery, get this weird static line. I did boot into recovery once so I did a factory reset hoping it would fix something, which it did not. So I guess I was going to return the phone, I then had the stupid smart idea that it booting up fully and me activating it and then resetting it would be a good idea, and boy I was wrong. So it went to you know the usual "erasing screen" in which it would get stuck on, I did the hard restart maybe 4 times then it sorta worked the android guy kept spinning until IT JUST DIED.
And here we are now me typing this out, I feel like the company isn't going to accept it back due to it not being "functional".
Absolutely no sign of life now. Not even charging, this has happened before with it when I went into the recovery menu and it got stuck. I waited out an hour and then pressed ALL the buttons and the charging icon appeared but now, now I think it's different.
TLDR: Bad eMMC of phone, caused me to try to reset it and now it's bricked?
Well lesson learned? When things aren't working at the first place don't try to fix them just refuse outright.
Some say the phone can't be bricked but I feel like I really did it this time.
No the phone wasn't rooted, no I didn't flash with ODIN.

Just return it.
There is nothing else you can do and I see no reason why they wouldn't accept it unless there's a physical damage.
