Has anyone got root explorer running on their wildfire? Whenever i search android market it can't find the program so I was wondering if anyone else has been able to find it and get it going.

Yes I got it, work fine. I could't find it on market to, so i find and 'apk' on google.

I love the genie widget but I can't get it to with on any of the vibrant 2.2 roms. Does anyone here have a working apk for 2.2 vibrant?? I've searched all over but all I can find is the same one I've been using since my g1.

Ya the one I was using on eclair FC on froyo. So, I found one that works last night. No problems all day today...even auto finding my location.

How did you install it. At 1st I got cannot install so I used root explorer to put it in system apps. That let me install, but all I get is fc when I try to use it

I used Root exp. Try rebooting your phone and see if that works. What way did you try installing the first time before root exp?
Thanks for your help but I can't seem to get it to work. I usually install directly from the download file in astro. I then tried using root explorer.

Is this the version of the program that brings up news stories in the program itself or does this version just display the headlines and opens the stories in the browser?
I posted a link to smoked glass geneiwidget in apps if interested. Looks better. It has about 70% transparency

The new NBA Jam is just about as good i got it on the PS3
Ok so I hard reset my vibrant today and now im trying to get the android market to update to the newest version. Nothing is working.tried opening it then going back to home screen and waiting but still no luck.also tried rebooting it like 20 times. Any ideas? Thanks!

My dhd is rooted with s off.
I really want to uninstall the car panel app but can't find it in root manager or root explorer or adb list. Does anyone know the apk name and any other linked apk that works with it?

You should go into root explorer, go to the system/app/, folder and it should be in there.

It is part of the locations app. If you want to get rid of it you must delete the entire locations suite.
If this is really what you want, delete all the files containing either "locations" or "laputa" in the file name from /system/app using root explorer.

I've got a little problem here. After updating my DHD to 2.3 I have lost the HTC search app and widget which I prefer over Google (its much more customizable). If anyone has to .apk file i would really appreciate it.

I bought my desire hd the 5th of may and the same day received the gingerbread OTA update, then I saw on the htc site the description of the search feature, but if I press the search button from the home it always start google search.
It would be nice if someone knows how to restore the default htc search feature.
Unless htc decided to replace it with google search by purpose...
I preferred the HTC search anywhere app as it is much more customizable than the Google search bar. But I've been looking around for ages mate with no luck.
If you find anything give me a shout.

Ive noticed that olny after reading this... If someone coud give a solution that would be nice ..
I know that if you have updated your DHD you should be running Sense UI 2.1+, which means if anyone could get hold of the apk file it would install fine and work.
Just haven't been able to find the file anywhere.

If I start typing in the search box in 2.3, it actually finds stuff from the phone as well, e.g. contacts, music without using Google. From what I recall, it's exactly the same in the Search anywhere app, minus the Google search option.
The search anywhere app allowed us to choose and arrange your searched items as you like. I also find that Google search doesn't search my contacts for some reasons. :S

Current SearchAnywhere sources not compatible with a new Htc Sense 3.x.
This project not even supported for the moment.
