Xda app crashes every time I post

Is this just me? Every time i reply to a post, I get a force close. This has happened on almost every firmware I've tried.

Same here, it crashes everytime, do not know, but I think this is not a firmware thing, but a xda app thing....

are you guys on Froyo or 2.1 ?
i'm using it just fine, no errors, i use it very often to check my PMs and post back on the go

I had the same a few days ago.however somehow the problem got solved and now I don't get these FC's anymore when posting a message...

Same here but not always. I just ignore it coz my message still gets posted.

there was recengly an upgrade to the XDA forum App
maybe that's the difference?

Mine is a clean install and the latest version. Guess its just a bit crap then... much like the official UK ebay app as well then.
Oh to top it off my phone decided it had enough and went to sleep again.

Mine crashes too (fresh install)

mine was upgraded from the older verison

Posted here earlier that my problems were gone, but I just had another FC after posting elsewhere...
Also, when trying to edit a previous message I seem unable to type anything; the keyboard appears on my screen, but touching it gives a feedback that is the same as touching in a textbox (I can move cursor and select text etc.instead of typing with the virtual keyboard that is displayed).

Edit: hmmm this time no FC and fully able to edit message....weird...

Mine just crashed using quotes. Seems to work fine otherwise.

Crackle

Has anyone been able to see crackle app in the market? Tried from a few different roms but don't want to flash back to stock...still no luck...wife seen it on her mytouch slide.just wondering if anyone else had issues with seeing apps

Can u download it on your wife's slide and use a backup program to pull it. Then post it on here cause I an running stock and it don't show up for me either

Well I will try and do a pull if I can get it to install on her phone...it keeps doing the I won't install game...I'll try my brothers phone once he gets it back from repair

Looks like a no go...I will keep asking around as I spot more android devices in the wild and see if the owners would be nice enough to help us out...also looking into pulling from an emulator...just got market working somewhat on my old hero backup...

Thanks...idk why either didn't show for me...but it did on the wifes my touch but couldn't d/l it for nothing and she is stock till friday gonna root and throw cm on it...anyways thanks a ton there was a ton of pm's saying it didn't show.

Go to settings, applications, then find market and uninstall the update..
things should start working fine...
Had the same problem.. this solved it.. later market updates again but this time it works fine...

thank god, thought it was just me who had the problem!
Uninstalling the updates did fix, but now its just a stock 1.6 market.
Hope it updates itself soon!

You could just have had a look at the_ahmadzais profile, he's started at least 6 threads across xda about it.

it took a few days for mine to update again afterwards but it just did it silently in the background with no prompting and now it works fine.

Market issues

Anyone having issues with the market right now?
Mine is trying to update maps, beautiful widgets, and titanium; but its hanging on downloading.
I've cleared market cache, rebooted, and changed to WiFi.

+1... funny thing is that I was able to get some apps to download/update after several tries.

HA!! I just switched to a new ROM and I have been posting in the devs thread telling them the ROM isn't allowing me to download anything from the market. Oops! At least I know where the problem is coming from now though. Too bad I have wiped my phone and now can't download Titanium Backup to restore.
Also I have tried 3G, 4G and Wifi. The market just isn't working.

Yeah, maps won't update. Guess ill have to wait. Now says my maps aren't even installed.

I was comin on here to post this exact question. Ive tried 3 rom backups and even a new rom just to see and i get nothing. I just wanna test out a bew widget damnit and its been like 3 hours. Ugh

1 out of 3 downloaded (smart keyboard pro) maps and another app are hanging as well. I was wondering what was going on. Glad I saw this thread I was considering a wipe. Using calkulins rom.

This is driving me crazy.
It goes from "Starting download" to "Download paused"

Same here. Started this afternoon when I went to update some apps. Goes straight to download paused (never even seen that before) and after some time says download was unsuccessful. Tried downgrading market but it didn't help. I hope Google gets the market issues fixed soon. They keep secretly updating it and half the time it works and the other half it gets serious bugs.

What a cluster, but I'm glad It's not just me.

Just open up and log into GTalk and the downloads should automatically resume their downloading....

Genie widget

I love the genie widget but I can't get it to with on any of the vibrant 2.2 roms. Does anyone here have a working apk for 2.2 vibrant?? I've searched all over but all I can find is the same one I've been using since my g1.

How did you install it. At 1st I got cannot install so I used root explorer to put it in system apps. That let me install, but all I get is fc when I try to use it

I used Root exp. Try rebooting your phone and see if that works. What way did you try installing the first time before root exp?

Thanks for your help but I can't seem to get it to work. I usually install directly from the download file in astro. I then tried using root explorer.

Is this the version of the program that brings up news stories in the program itself or does this version just display the headlines and opens the stories in the browser?

I posted a link to smoked glass geneiwidget in apps if interested. Looks better. It has about 70% transparency
