i just got a galaxy s for a test, i wanted to record via the tv out a presentation of the software layar wich si already installed.
i was surprised to get on the video recorder a message sayin that the tv out is stopped when an application is running.
can you guys pls try see if it works?
just need to know if it s just because the rom seems to be modded by orange, in this case it s just a rom issue.

i don t use a software but an external device for recording (archos)
everything works nicely but when you start the camera, tv out stop :'(
can somebody verify pls that the tv out is dropped once the camera is started?

Hello,
I have heard of people with other phones talking about wirelessly controlling there phone from there computer to turn on an off the video recorder and being able to use there phone as a spy device. I don't necessarily need to spy on anyone but, was wondering if anyone has worked on setting up the T-mobile MDA to being able to do this and actually send what it is recording to the computer like a webcam?
If anyone knows more about this I would be interested in seeing how it works and trying to make my phone a webcam and or a spycam if possible. Thanks.

I recently updated my T-Mobile MDA III to WM6 and everything worked fine, until I recently noticed that I can use the camera only with the integrated application, while any other cam software doesn't work. Do you know any solutions for this problem?

What do you mean by you can "use camera only with the integrated application"??? I really dont understand....
I mean the camera works with the software that was installed when I bought the pda, however i doesn't work with any other cam software I install. The software that was installed when I bought it has no name actually it has a cam icon and says camera. After I updated to WM6 it has again that app and the camera works only whit it.
yeah, that seems to be a problem on the wm6 upgrades. i think the camera app has been changed(the codings, maybe), that's why any other app that wants to use the camera cant use it coz it is different.

I've got the same problem only in condition that i can use it for first video recording. After first successful attempt, there's no more working camera for both pic shot or vid record.
Anyone else using this?
I have tried to use it to send music/video files to equipment on my wireless network, mainly my Sonos speaker. When i open a video to send for instance and then hit the option to smart share it and then choose my speaker it appears to start to send it then i get a error message come up saying 'unfortunately smartshare push has stopped'
The strange thing is though that although it is not playing on my phone it has sent the file to the speaker and does play?
Just wondered if it is a general bug in standard rom or a bug in the custom rom im using (flex rom)

i've got same problem on stock rom when i try to send my video to TV using DLNA. video is playing but every 2 sec freezes so DLNA is useless atm
Try using the free version of an app called "Bubble UPNP" from the market. I use it daily to stream to my wireless speakers. Even if it doesn't have all of the features you want, maybe it will help you diagnose the problem.
It does have some trouble finding some of my DLNA objects sometimes, a problem I did not have on my HTC One X. If I restart the speaker it will find it though.
I have frozen all of the smartshare related items with Titianium. They were rampantly draining my battery.

I'm new to the Nokia Community and I was wondering if somebody could help me out with finding a Google Camera Port that has working video. I've tried some of the Google Pixel Ports and it all came up with "Couldn't connect to camera". I really need video as I do multiple video shots with my phone for Uni and am willing to ditch the stock Nokia Camera if somebody can find me something decent.
