How can I make o2 xda exec identify simplified chinese?

I got a xda exec recently, but I don't know how to make this phone identify and show simplified chinese correctly. Please help me!!

go here ftp://xdaupload:[email protected]/Universal and find one folder call CHS patch and install it , you will see Simplified Chinese in your Exec but not in internet explorer , if you want to see Chiese in web that you need to flush Dopod 900 ROM and add this patch.

Is there any solution to make all programs of xda exec support chinese except change ROM?

upright now is no way to support Chiese , Wm5.0 can't be change wincl,flush CHT rom is only way now

Hi, I managed to install the Chinese fony on my Exec, now it can show Chinese massage (I have not tried if it will show Chinese in Word or note
yet).
Now can any body tell me how to input Chinese on this stage?

I don't had English-Chinese dictionary in my Exec , so I can't answer to your question , but you can try and post here.

The answer is negative. I tried flash my XDA2 to wm2005 1.6c (from buzzlightyear), change fonts, Monstersip installed. I can read/type Chinese from SMS/notepad but never in Internet Explorer or Chinese dictionary YLdict.

Input Chinese on Exec

Siukeung, so after installing the Chinese font (link provided by mwang), and then install monster sip, you can type Chinese in SMS/notepad, WORD, right ? If so that is already good enough for me right now.
Could you kindly tell me which version of monster sip do you use , where do you get it from ?
maybe I will try some English-Chinese dictionary on my Exec as well, to see if it will work. If any body already tried, please post us your details.

HELP - Why Monster SIP 4 not working on my Exec
Hi,
I installed the Chinese font provided (post in this post by mwang), then
installed monster sip 4 with two IMEs (pingyin and wuby).
However my Exec still can not input Chinese. Actually It seems nothing happened after SIP and IMEs installation. Somebody said after installtion I need to choose a PRC option in regional setting. But my machine did not show that at all in the regional setting.
Do I need do anything after installation ? So pls help this beginner.

I've bought an xperia in Germany and flashed it with the generic uk rom.
How do I change the registry settings to use the qwertz keyboard for this uk version?
I've searched the forum but couldn't find any working solution?

sorry, also looking for the same , but nobody sesm to know anything.
in the previous htc models, there was a possibillity for a reg_key change for the keyboard but they've chnged the number sequence

Is this not just the same as the Advanced Config Tool does?

Hi guys,
just did it. Works perfectly. Have now an UK ROM driven X1 with the german keyboard.
It is the code (hex) 407, that works.
The tool to get into the reg.:
http://www.phm.lu/downloads/download.aspx?{940B734A-C437-41C7-ADED-2A4418802FD3}
to download is : Pocket PC 2002/2003(ARM/PXA).
Just install and go from there. Straight forward.....even for me

Hi all,
i bought a Tattoo here in Ireland for my nephew that lives in italy. he wants to have italian as a primary language on the phone.
I read that I can download the official WWE rom and simply flash that to get the missing languages.
Has anyone tried by any chance? Risk of bricking the phone? Problems with SPL or radio versions?
Just want to make sure im not sending him a dud for xmas

I'd say flash the WWE rom from the android development site. It comes with a big list of languages (Including Italian ).

I have updated the rom now i can use greek language but in sms composing the T9 isn't availble for greek.
Could anyone help please?
The strange part is that it is availble when i write text in the internet browser

guys can you please explain..
- where did you get the rom? i found a version but is in zip format and you need to cid unlock the phone first with the goldcard. im not too keen on that.
i dont understand how could I install the zip other than renaming to update.zip and reboot to recovery?? could someone please enlighten me?

Hello, I tried a lot to change the language of my WM ELF 0100 from Spanish to English? Help me please.

GOTO start-->setting(Above last one)-->choose second tab on below--->then scroll down you can fing Globe icon open that.
Then you can choose your language as per your Wish

Searching for HTC Touch2 WM6.5 Arabic ROM

Hello Everybody,
I would like to change the current system of my HTC Touch2 - Mega from EN to ARABIC, but i can't download the related rom update :
HTC Touch2 WM6.5 Arabic ROM (GCC and Egypt)
- NOT AUTHORIZED FOR NEW USERS -
(Search google, and get it by the first item!)
because of the serial number incompatibility (quite normal according to HTC support!)
Could someone in this forum give me some clues or links to download this file from another location please ?
I did'nt found any information about this rom in xda forums, although the rom exists (official link of HTC middle east!)

Did you try Google? And if you find it you cant put it on your phone without HSPL, just to let you know before you kill you phone.

Of course already tried google seach, but found nothing valid !
No HSPL is needed for all official HTC ROM upgrade, i have already upgraded successfully my device from GER --> ENG, and now i need an ARABIC one, the official one that i cannot download from official HTC middle east web site because of serial number problem (bought my device in germany!)
Please if anyone can help me !

I managed to download the Arabic ROM, and I chose the locale Saudi Arabia as it is the only one available for Arabic. But I still cannot read or write Arabic!

If yes, could you upload it on rapidshare/megaupload ?
In fact, it is only a serial number problem, because my device's one is a german one, i cannot download it, what about yours ? is it a middle east original one ?
Something helpful, can be to give here an arabic device serial number in order to be able to download it from HTC official site and then put it here as a link for xda dev forum users !

Unfortunately not so easy, u need a valid arabic serial number to dl it !...
That's why i am searching for this one also...

weird. whats the story behind it? care to explain? got from some other country or what? and now you need to get Arabic in it?
Here, was messing around with my s/n. made this up and worked. 'HT9a4p103340'. (again remember its not mine, who knows who owns it not that it matters eh).
