Hi guys,
For my purposes I've created a software input panel and now I want to share it with those who want to try new things. It is inspired by popular phonepad, easy typing with the finger, suggestions on the top of the SIP, you can insert them to text by directly clicking on them. It can learn new words. There are T9 or Abc typing mode, it's easy to insert numbers (see manual document).
In the installation CAB there is czech and english version, manual and step-by-step how to create dictionary for other languages easily... You can also create your own skin modifying the bmp files in the installation directory.
I'll be glad if you help me to improve SIP's features, report bugs or just simply comment your opinion.

I've tried to create DEU dictionary. Lets extract t9_dictionary.de.txt and t9_dictionary.de.idx to the installation directory and in the settings select it in combo box.
Could you please reupload it to an other service. I've got some problems to download it from uloz.to. Thx.

Still problems to download. The mirror took about 5 Minutes to load the website content, after that I tried to search for a link, but couldn't get it. Tried with FF and IE7.
What about uploading to rapidshare or megaupload?

I try to make the greek dictionary, but the original file has no spaces from word to word. Is there a way to find another greek dictionary?

At the end, I was able to create a Turkish Dict. So start to use your keyboard and find it very usefull, many thanks again.
But I have a small request. Will it be possible to add "(", ")" icons (for smiling ) into your left sembol bottom (+-*/) ?

There is, the most top right key. You can use it as spacebar.
Try this swedish dictionary:

Just copy it into the installation directory, hold "+" button on T9Sip panel to enter settings and select sw. Maybe you need to reboot the phone.
Hi,
I adapted croatian dictionary from Open Office using your dictionary tool. It works well, so thank you very much for this. I think that it would be nice if your panel counts use of words so it can prioritize words by usage in T9 bar.
One question for the end: are you planning to give this in open source community so people can make their own customizations ?

I have buy a HTC touch HD with France SFR edition (french one)
I need a solution to install thai and japanese fonts, I need my touch hd to support thoses asian font.
I have do some search on internet but useless
i have also try to copy some windows thai font to the windows's font directory (with active sync) of the touch hd.. but It refuse to copy
is there any solution?
I'm thinking about flashing the rom with a Taiwanese version..

why don't you try copy the font file into your mem card
& then in ur mobile, copy the font file from the mem card to windows\fonts?

well, for me, it is not the font, but the way windows mobile protects the font itself (hidden, system and read only mode, which cannot be removed or replaced). Does anybody know how to treat this situation? Thanks

i bought a Tattoo here in Ireland for my nephew that lives in italy. he wants to have italian as a primary language on the phone.
I read that I can download the official WWE rom and simply flash that to get the missing languages.
Has anyone tried by any chance? Risk of bricking the phone? Problems with SPL or radio versions?
Just want to make sure im not sending him a dud for xmas

I'd say flash the WWE rom from the android development site. It comes with a big list of languages (Including Italian ).
I have updated the rom now i can use greek language but in sms composing the T9 isn't availble for greek.
Could anyone help please?
The strange part is that it is availble when i write text in the internet browser

- where did you get the rom? i found a version but is in zip format and you need to cid unlock the phone first with the goldcard. im not too keen on that.
i dont understand how could I install the zip other than renaming to update.zip and reboot to recovery?? could someone please enlighten me?

I would like to change the current system of my HTC Touch2 - Mega from EN to ARABIC, but i can't download the related rom update :
HTC Touch2 WM6.5 Arabic ROM (GCC and Egypt)
- NOT AUTHORIZED FOR NEW USERS -
(Search google, and get it by the first item!)
because of the serial number incompatibility (quite normal according to HTC support!)
Could someone in this forum give me some clues or links to download this file from another location please ?
I did'nt found any information about this rom in xda forums, although the rom exists (official link of HTC middle east!)

Did you try Google? And if you find it you cant put it on your phone without HSPL, just to let you know before you kill you phone.
Of course already tried google seach, but found nothing valid !
No HSPL is needed for all official HTC ROM upgrade, i have already upgraded successfully my device from GER --> ENG, and now i need an ARABIC one, the official one that i cannot download from official HTC middle east web site because of serial number problem (bought my device in germany!)
Please if anyone can help me !

I managed to download the Arabic ROM, and I chose the locale Saudi Arabia as it is the only one available for Arabic. But I still cannot read or write Arabic!

In fact, it is only a serial number problem, because my device's one is a german one, i cannot download it, what about yours ? is it a middle east original one ?
Something helpful, can be to give here an arabic device serial number in order to be able to download it from HTC official site and then put it here as a link for xda dev forum users !

That's not an arabic one ?...

Unfortunately not so easy, u need a valid arabic serial number to dl it !...
That's why i am searching for this one also...
weird. whats the story behind it? care to explain? got from some other country or what? and now you need to get Arabic in it?
Here, was messing around with my s/n. made this up and worked. 'HT9a4p103340'. (again remember its not mine, who knows who owns it not that it matters eh).

hold on!!! just go in your SGS settings first, you can change your language here.
You do not need to flash a new firmware changing the language
Go to your App Drawer, then: Settings, Locale and Text, Select Locale
There you can change your Language
hi, how to go sgs setting sir?
Home screen, bottom right, blue square with four white squares, press.
This will take you to Apps, look for the blue square with the white cog wheel, Settings.
Press Settings, look for a white square with letter A, called Locale and text.
press this and the first option is SELECT LOCALE, set this to the language you want.
