Online Sony Ericsson Help and Support - XPERIA X10 General

Basically the North America Sony Ericsson website has free online help and support, its the same as using chat.

reply from HTC regarding 6.6 update

Regarding the WM 6.6 ROM update for your mobile phone, we are waiting for a confirmation from the software manufacture if the handset will receive an approved licence or not.
We will publish on our website a press release informing the latest updates but this won't happen this year according with Microsoft.

Think they confounded WM6.6 with WM7. WM6.6 WILL be out within this year I guess... Hard to understand that not even the manufacturers know what they're talking about...

Heh I was just giving him a hard time because this isn't news and the date is always subject to change (based on the buzz, the OTA update is done, VZW is just having it's way with it before releasing). I would be sad to see them slip the summer release date though (the sooner we get the final, the sooner an exploit method can be found... hopefully).

As far as its purpose in here I have no clue.
Also I have no idea why people are calling or writing HTC and VZW. It's pointless. It's not like they've been just sitting around waiting for you to write them so they can finally tell someone.Someone will make an announcement when it is confirmed to roll out. sorry to spoil it for you, but the phillipines and other random places are getting more of the tech support, lately. the op was still funny as hell. what's really funny is when you keep getting disconnected because of bad signal on the phone, and every time you call back it's the same voice with a different name.
Well I had fun doing this chat session anyways lol
The chat session was hilarious!!! And it is sad that more and more of our tech jobs are going overseas to where we can't even understand them when they are trying to help.... and they are getting paid Milk Money so it isn't like they are very patient either.... Calling Dell, Time Warner (Cable), and Samsung is the worst! This is probably the last Samsung product I use which I am finding is the general consenses of the board!
It's really a shame, cause I really love this phone
These chat support people aren't even Samsung employees, just a few cents per hour third party company. I suppose there is some satisfaction in knowing the Samsung support channel is gummed up a bit by such calls, and maybe cost Samsung a few more pennies as a result, but time spent criticizing Samsung in areas where people who are making buying decisions is more likely to hurt and IMO is more effective.
Maybe it's been thought of, but somebody really should organize a "Pissed off Galaxy S User Day." Pick a day sometime in the near future and get the 10 million or so Galaxy S users to all tie up Samsung's phone and chat lines for 24 hours demanding Froyo now and a date for Gingerbread.

'Xperia Arc S UK 'ICS update' date?'

I just emailed Sony about the Ice Cream Sandwich update in the UK about this and they replied:
Thank you for contacting the Sony Xperia support centre regarding updates.
With regards to your enquiry, the update for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is due for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S in late May/early June.

They did say 4-6 weeks after initial Nordic rollout, I just didn't think they'd go for the maximum 6 weeks without any release in between, this is just like someone at talk.sonymobile.com pointed out, that it'll be 1 month for everyone else.

I have sent you a copy and paste my request during last 3 days to Samsung Support MEA in order to ask about 4.3...they don't read messages ..they just copy and paste a recorded reply !!!
They also replied that 4.3 update didn't release yet although it's released since 19 Nov 2013
This is exactly the level of their customer support...i think they don't have plans while rolling out the updates...they just roll it one by one by luck not by a due date
