Hello,
I'm looking for an application that would allow to pop emails but with a spam filter so that it does not retrieve the messages that it thinks is email.
I am aware that gmail has this, but I don't want all my pop accounts to go through gmail.
The stock HTC application does not have that spam filter and it's quite annoying that it retrieves messages that I know to be spam by just looking at the subject line.
Do you know of any application for this?

I've been getting as many as 400 spam messages on a daily basis on my Gmail account. I tried the filter that Gmail has set up, but it doesn't work. Does anyone know of a program that can block the spam before I receive it? Could the program provided be a cab or zip, and not exe please? I did a forum search first, and only 1 came up that matched my search, and it wasn't what I was asking for. I can delete all spam with 1 tap using the Opera beta browser, but I don't want to see any number at all by the word SPAM in my Gmail account.
Thx!

I'm trying to set up my Wizard to only send e-mail. I don't want to receive e-mail. I can only see a send/receive option in the settings.
Reason I don't want to receive is that I get too much mail (a lot of it is spam) and I don't want to wait to receive 100s of useless e-mails just to send one.
I've tried not setting up a POP account but that doesn't work as it keeps prompting me for it when I try send e-mail.
Any ideas.
Also on another note, are there any anti spam filters for WM5/6? I don't have server side spam filtering so must rely on client spam filtering. Something which Thunderbird does great on a desktop.
Couple questions regarding the Pocket Outlook.
Anyone have a good method of blocking friggin spam and junk mail? I dont see an option within the app to "block senders" or anything.
If I use Outlook on my desktop and I have multiple "rules" and blocked addresses set up, if I allow my ppc to sync with my desktop outlook, will those rules and settings transfer over?
I know most of you prolly use gmail or yahoo. The issue I have with those is that I receive from multiple accounts. I know you can receive from multiple pop accounts with these, but I have not found a means to actually SEND from these pop addresses on the ppc. Course it is entirely possible I didn't set it up properly.
Looking for email solutions. Thanks.
I run about 8 imap accounts. The only solution to this problem being that i had crazy spam (over 800 a day on som accounts) is running flexmail. It handles imap, pop and txt (sms).
One of the many great things about "flexmail 2007" is that it has the ability to add rules! Yes, so it filters out spam as well. I have spam filters on some of my servers which label spam as {Definitely Spam?} or {Spam?}. I have the rules delete the first, not even placing it in the deleted folder. The second goes to the deleted folder just in case something doesn't belong there.
This is the only solution i found. I saw there are other similar email clients out thee, but being a 'power user' i found this to be the best for me. The only thing flexmail doesn't handle is ms exchange, but i let wm6 handle that 1 account only.
Maybe I'm overlooking this but isn't there a way within the gmail client on phone to select a group to email all at once?
Seems simple like in messaging (Handcent) when you create a message it gives the option to select an individual contact or a group of contacts from your gmail account.... but I can't seem to find this feature within the phone's gmail client? There's a group of 5 people I email very often and and have them in a contact group on my google account but I hate having to enter each one by one!
Was just wondering where I'm going wrong or if anyone knows the trick?
Thanks
**Edit: Having the same problem within the google voice client on the phone as well, can't select multiple contacts to sms at the same time.....
Hi guys. I currently use the gmail app for my gmail account and the typical email app for my outlook account. I have noticed that Gmail will eventually remove a notification from my task bar if I read the email somewhere on my computer. The email app, however, will just keep racking the new mail count up. I use outlook push notification, so I will get notifications for new mail while I am at work. I typically check them on my computer, since I am there. When I go to my phone after several of these, I will have a notification on my phone saying that I have X new emails. When I open the notification, they will all be read.
Has anybody else experienced this issue? Is this just a limitation of using outlook push notification?
