There should be 3 buttons to the bottom of the screen - the centre physical button used to wake the phone and as the 'home button' as well as the other 2 capacitive buttons either side used for back and menu.
The US variants I all have 4 capacitive buttons which I presume can't be used for waking the phone, I take it you have one of these - the Captivate, Vibrant or Fascinate?

Yes !
Exactly, and one two three for five six !
What is this I dont even
Holy crap, didn't even know that
Wow! You sure are l33t! Next you'll show us how to set a security pin for the lock screen, which is only a function for super hackers!
Then again, this button combination is not functional on my phone... Pegasus because Onecosmic ICS shows it when you long press the power button

If you really want a button combination, a simultaneous press of vol-down + power will immediately take a screenshot for you.
Telegram by phone
Or use a program from the market for this, but you probably need to root your phone which might be a bridge to far for most normal users
On ICS Roms screenshot is combination of Vol_Dwn+Power...!!!
Is the hardware buttons for the Nexus 7 ( power button + volume up and down button ) suppose to be a little bit loose? I've bought mine with 32GB 3G. The hardware buttons works perfectly fine but I can feel it moving a little when I do it up and down on the sides. Anyone has encounter this before? Thanks in advance.
Their just rubber caps over the actual buttons.

Yes I've noticed it too on several Samsung devices like the Galaxy S3... Thank you...
I think they make the a little loose so the buttons don't stick when pressed.

Hi guys,
I accidentally dropped my phone on the floor.
This wasn't the first time I dropped but this time it's really broken.
The screen is broken and the touch screen isn't working anymore (looks like only 20% of the top part is working, rest of the screen not).

Is there any way how to control it from my pc now? It's rooted etc.
I'd like to make a backup for whatsapp and other apps.
Second thing, should I try to replace the screen and touch screen?
Thanks,
Niek

If the power and volume buttons still work you can use fastboot and adb.

Yeah I know I could use ADB.
But I thought that it's maybe possible to control it on your pc via an interface or something. So that you actually see your phone's screen on your pc screen.
There's an app called airdroid but i don't know how you can launch it without a touchscreen.
Just noticed that swiping to capture screen not working. It is ON in Advanced Features. Menu button + Power button does do a screen capture however. No change with different launchers.
Can anyone duplicate or recommend a fix? Thanks
Notice same thing it doesn't work
I got mine turned off usually, just turned it on for testing after I saw this thread, and it's working fine in both directions.
Is it not working sometimes? Or not at all?

Well I figured it out for my phone. I have the phone in a Caseology Wavelength case. Swipe Capture doesn't work. When I take the phone out of the case, swipe to capture works. I put the phone into a cheap clear gel case that I first got with the phone and swipe to capture works.. Very strange. Wonder what the case is doing to prevent the function.
Hello guys,
After some updates, I noticed a button like a slider on notification panel but it is not active.
I could not slide right side or something like that. It seems fixed button.
What was that?
do a long press on it and it should bring up app info for the app that created it. then just click on the i symbol

that's not a notification. it looks like a tab to bring up a side bar or news service, could be a horizontal homescreen indicator (haven't used tw in years sorry), does it move or stay still ?
to sum up, I don't know sorry
