(This is not a flashable .zip you have to push it through adb or use root explorer for now)
Heres a freebie wallpaper :

look nice. will try

I like how it says thc

Absolutely love this! Thanks a lot!

pushed it to /system/customize/resources
didnt work?
any ideas?

heres exactly how i got it to work. it could be cos you typed resources instead of resource or it could be because you didnt put the / thats caused me probs in the past
(in recovery)
adb shell mount /system
adb push bootanimation.zip /system/customize/resource/
adb reboot

Very nice indeed Worked like a charm, thank you !
Regards

I'm glad you guys like it. There's more boot animations on the way

Nice one! Works perfectly (and smooth!) and looks great, would make a cool live wallpaper too!
BTW, in the video it looks like you got rid of the horrible white background with HTC logo boot image, if so how?
Look forward to your new boot animations. Cheers!

Should work by pushing it to /data/local if your ROM has sym linked it. Easiest way to install boot animations is using Root Explorer, it's just a quick copy&paste and your done.

I just got lucky. It was a t-mobile uk desire and thats how it came with a little pink circle rather than the white HTC screen. I think you can change the splash screen but i dont know where its located.

Thanks I got it to work by rebooting into recovery then partitions menu ,mount system ,then push to /system/customize/resource
Looks great ! Mmmmmmm thc lol

I'd like to second this one, this is lovely and the arrows alone are a great sell for me. But since it need root access (I don't want to root my desire yet) and also it appears that it does not work on Froyo, jonasl's keyboard mod is the one I'm stuck with for the time being.
Nevertheless, thanks for bringing this to the community.
Has there been any update to the HTC_IME (with arrows) keyboard for the HD2 running froyo? I'm starting to work with various terminals and it would be so nice to have some arrows so I can use my history. Thanks.
I saw that the DesireHD has IME w/Arrows. Probs easier to port from that?

I understand that the IME w/arrows is actually closed-source. I have asked gimpsta about it while using his online IME kitchen (http://www.gimpsta.com/themer/) and his reply mentioned that as it was closed source, he wasn't able to do much in the ways of editing it

First you need root some kind of file manager. I use root explorer. Then you download the bootanimation you want. If its not already named bootanimation.zip, rename to that.
If you're using an asop rom like cm7 the bootanimation will be located in system/media, if you're using a sense rom the bootanimation will be located in system/customize/resource. All you do is copy the bootanimation you downloaded and paste it in the correctsponding place depending on the rom you're using. Make sure you switch the permission to r/w before pasting. In root explorer the r/w r/o button is on top.

lol ok, kinda boring. mind u the mildwild logo bootanimation aint exactly exciting haha. its just that the X only lasts like 2 seconds then a black screen for bout 8 seconds, would be better if the X just stayed on the screen till the phone booted. anywho thanks for the reply

Hello.
I like this bootanimation, but I'd prefeer it if the X just would keep glowing on the screen. So I edited it to do that. Plus, I resized all the images to 480x800 ( Desire resolution ).
I attached the file to this post, just rename to "bootanimation.zip" and put where the old bootanimation.zip was.

[Splash Screen] Nexus 4 boot screen

Check out this cool nexus bootscreen that I didnot make myslef, but found in my downloads directory on PC..... Don't know why or where I downloaded it from, but it looks cool on my HTC Desire, with a complete Nexus-ish look. Works on all ROMs. Just be sure that you're rooted and S-Off.
Paste it in the /system/media directory. Overwrite your default one.
But do make a copy of the old one + a nandroid backup, cuz if it doesn't work on your phone, then don't complain to me.
Bound to work on 4.xx.xx ROMs....

Boot Animation Help

Hi guys.
I Just got a verizon g2 a week ago and I am trying to change the boot animation to an android L animation which I just found but it doesn't show past what's in the "part2" folder. In other words, it doesn't reach the part where the four dots turn into the word "android". This also happened with an android L boot animation which I found earlier from xda (which I think is the same). This is the link http://www.hotmodinc.com/2014/07/Android-L-Boot-Animation.html. Any help is appreciated. I have a stock rooted rom.
just tried it... seems ok, it only holds a black screen a bit longer after animation finishes...
did you download 1080x1920 size version?

afaik, bootloader (locked/unlocked) doesn't have anything to do with bootanimation...
if your device is rooted and you have access to system files which you can modify and change their permissions - you can change the bootanimation too...
btw i still don't know what is the problem with yours... can you maybe somehow (with some other device or smtn) record a video of your device booting?

hi, i was kinda hoping that you'll record a video with that Android L bootanimation so i could compare it to mine...
i won't go installing all the bootanimations you use just to try and see i hope you understand...
btw which rom do you have? which variant? (although i doubt that has anything to do with the boot animation itself because i can run any of them on my old optimus 2x as long as the resolution fits, and never had problem)
also - open the description text file from the original LG animation zip (since you mentioned that the original one works well) and compare it with the description text file of the any of bootanimations that don't work...

and one other thing to consider as well - maybe your device just boots up faster so the animation can't get all the way to the end
i.e. mine boots in about 30secs (cloudy g3 v2.1, dorimanx kernel, dalvik runtime)
