[APP REQ] Twitter widget like the original in black - Desire Themes and Apps

hi...does anybody have a twitter widget with black or dark background?
the original one ist too white
or which twitter widgets do you use?

Simply open the .apk and edit the image files to a darker type suitable. Then repack and push to system or wherever your apps are.

Launcher pro icons

I know how to change dock icons on launcher pro, but how do I change the other icons on home screen?
Thanks

you need to use something like desktop visualiser or folder organiser
When you add a new shortcut you get an option to change the icon right after selecting the app. Would be so nice if you could change icons on existing shortcuts.

With Bettercut or Desktop Visualizer.

is there a way to change the folder icon of launcher pro? as it is so boring brown
Here's a tutorial on customizing LauncherPro - lots of links to icon & dock collections there, as well as some custom Desktop Visualizer icons.

Am I right in guessing nobody found an answer?
might be easier just to use adw and get a theme that you like, it's less hassle and changes the icons for you...

Yeah I have ADW all set up and organized with the icons I like.
Thing is, I'm trying LP since yesterday and my Milestone 2 (Droid 2) feels faster and more responsive... And I'm not using live wallpapers or any other bloatware lol.
For example, when I click on a blank spot and click on 'create widget' (normal widgets, not LPP widgets) the menu for the widgets appear instantly. In ADW after I click 'widgets' it takes three seconds for the widget menu to appear.
Same thing with the app drawer, 3 seconds of black screen on ADW and instant on LPP, and I'm using the 3D mode in both.
You can change folder color by using 7Zip, Find your Launcher Pro .APK file right click, select 7Zip, OPen Archive. Drag the res file to your desktop. Click " Drawable-hdpi find the PNG folder files, should be two(OPENED, and CLOSED). Edit files with Photoshop or whatever program you desire and SAVE. Go to APK folder in 7Zip and delete the res folder. After your done drag the modified res folder back to where you originally grabbed it in the 7Zip file. Install APK on your phone and your folders should all now be your modified version. Caution you will have to un-install Launcher Pro first then redo your folders.

[Q] Background and colors of calendar app

Hi, I find the Arc's calendar app very difficult to read with the white text on dark blue background.
Anybody found a way to modify that "theme" or reskin the calendar app?
I've been thinking of editing the xml layout files in the calendar apk (my device is rooted) but thought I'd ask first before starting...
thanks
erwan
if you change the system background (there's a thread on here for it) it will be reflected in the calendar, and the calculator.. amongst other things!

I guess we could indeed do that but that would not change the text color (currently white or light gray) and might be impossible to read of a different background.
we need to be able to fully skin the Calendar app or replace it with the stock Android one.

Game folder or widget?

Sorry if this sounds stupid but how would I go about making a games folder for all my games. I'm on taboonay so the games have all been removed. If I use a widget would that take me to a location where all games are stored, not apps screen? I've been focusing so much on performance that I've only just got around to personalizing the tab after a month of use!

+2 for folder organizer lite. Once you make your folders and add in all your apps or links I then use the widget Desktop Visualizer to make my own icons.
If you use DV, add the widget and pick the size you want. Then when you see the green outline for the app on the screen choose other, folder organizer link and then pick your folder. It looks very clean with a variety of sizes for the icons. (Before setting it all up though- Just download a pick for your icon and choose it from the gallery when your setting up the widget, or you can just use organizer lites icons)

I'm using astro to view the zip file containing the icons i downloaded but i can't see the icon image when choosing. All have the same file image so it's a painin the arsegoing throughthem all. What am I doing wrong?
Did you unzip the files? Then you have to view the images so that the gallary is associated with them. Then when you set up the DV widget you choose the icon, just have to know where to find them. They don't have to be icons from icon packs though, you can use any small sized JPEG as well.

All sweet with the widgets, how can i just have widgets with icons and no text labelling the folder. Folder organizer won't let me have a link with image only. Is this possible?
The text sayin "games" kind of ruins the nice icon.

S4 Default Wallpapers (resetting to default theme)

How can I get back the following default wallpapers without actually resetting the phone to factory settings that came on the phone when I was unboxing it on my SGS4?
Please see screenshots.
The other screen capture labeled CAPTURE2 is a solid light blue color with the hint of Sun glow on it.
I only have the plain normal blue solid color for the Home/Lock screen wallpaper.

NEVER MIND:laugh::laugh: I have it. I downloaded it.
However, can someone tell me where SGS4 stores its default Wallpapers? In which directory?
Because now, I would like to move this to the default Wallpaper directory.
Thanks!
Is there any special reason that you want to add them to wallpapers? You could add them to your gallery and then set them as wallpaper.
Dont think you understand my point here....
I know how to set the wallpapers. But I need to locate the folder in which these DEFAULT wallpapers are so I can add my downloaded image along to those default ones.
IThanks

For some reason that light solid blue color (with the sun beaming down) wallpaper was indeed in my list of default wallpapers list.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39745417
Please see that wallpaper from my first posting. Thats gone from the default wallpapers list and plus, I even did a factory reset and still, its not there. However, could be that I had this 300MB Firmware update last week and the firmware replaced that wallpaper from the default lists?
But somehow it got replaced by a darker solid blue color.
Thanks
